  1. Ok point taken. Do you think it is possible o he decent shots with the 9-18mm olympus In olympus housing witht the zen dome?
  2. Thanks a lot keneverett. Really informative. What you are saying about WA is really what I have been thinkin. Just wanna enjoy the diving in Galapagos . Am going to get the 9-18mm and zen dome which will allow me to get closer an improve IQ without strobes. And post prices in Lightroom if I have too. Do you have any experience or know anyone who has used the RGblue video lights. Look like a real contender to sola's. at a mi I want about lens set up and a good video light for Galapagos.
  3. Thanks Gary. All ambient light and as I said white balance on Lightroom. Yeh tell me bout it. Can't wait to hit done nice warm clear water.
  4. Hi, i have recently bought olympus epl-3 with pt-ep05l housing and these are my first real attempts at underwater photography. shot with 14-42mm stock lens behind the flat port. Photos shot at stoney cove, White balance on lightroom 5. Any honest opinions and views are welcome. thanks guys and gals
  5. Hi I posted similar topic on beginners forum but didn't get much feedback. Hoping to get some help here. I'm a beginner looking at buying a single strobe and arm system for my olympus epl-3 in the Olympus pt-ep05l housing. I am headin to Galapagos soon and will be concentration on WA. I no people are going to suggest 2 strobes but I only want to purchase one at min. Cost and wanting to buy lens/dome/ video light main factor . Plus the fact I would want to have some experience with 1 strobe first. Can I have some recommendation on size arms? 1 or 2 arms? Make of arms? Clamps? Make and model of strobe? Thanks guys and gals.

  7. With regards to arms? Is it worth considering bouyancy arms. Because even without strobe and arms etc housing is negatively bouyant.
  8. thanks one wolf and bear 35 im now gonna have look at these bits of equipment. i was gonna buy sola 2000 then discovered the RGBlue and it looks good. now undecided.
  9. Hi, I'm heading to Galapagos soon and am fairly new to underwater photography, I will be shooting mainly WA, I want to purchase my first arm system and one strobe for time being, cost being the main issue due to wanting both the Olympus 9-18mm and zen dome. . Main questions= -recommended strobe, fired by fibre optic ( I'm guessing the most powerful I can afford seein as ill only be using one strobe) - what arm manufactures? - want arm system size for both WA and macro for future? - recommended video light? possible sola 2000 or RGblue( can these be used in conjunction with a strobe as well as shooting video? Thanks a lot in advance.
  10. thanks guys, def want the olympus 9-18mm and looks like the lens with the zen dome is best option. as far as im aware the olympus stock lens will also fit behind the zen dome. I want a macro set up but dont want to fork out loads of money for both WA and macro. i guess standard port with a wet diopter is a affordable option?
  11. I hav this set up and am going to purchase a strobe. Can you explain about te pre flash sync you said you had to alter on the camera. Thanks.
  12. I'm interested in getting some new lenses for olympus pt-ep05l and was wondering what if any lenses fit straight into the standard port which comes with the housing except from the stock lens te 14-42mm olympus lens.
  13. Awesome. That does make a difference. . I was wondering the degree field of view with the standard set up.
  14. Ok thanks. Does the WA lens make a serious amount of difference. How much wider does the lens actually add?
  15. Thanks alot for your help much appreciated. I'm edging towards the inon wet lenses. I also like the inon uwl-100m67. As far as I am aware it gives 100 degree field of view with the standard port. Is this correct with the possibility of 150 degree with the correct dome. I was wondering if you knew what the field of view is with the 12-42mm lens in the olympus pt-ep05l. Was wondering if it was worth getting both the WA and close up wet Lenses?
  16. I am using the 14-42mm lens and will want to be shooting nudi's, and general small fish (blennys, hawk fish, sea horse, etc (crayfish when in uk)
  17. Is there any other wet lenses you could recommend?
  18. Thanks guys. Still little confused though. Have you guys tried these wet lenses with the epl-3?
  19. Can anyone give me some info for comparision of the inon ucl100 m67 and subsee+10 dioptors (or any other). pro's and cons and preferred wet lense for olympus epl-3 in pt-ep05l housing.
  20. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME THERE OPINION ON A GOOD ARM SYSTEM FOR THE NAUTICAM FLEXITRAY TRAY/HANDLE. AM NEW TO UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY AND WOULD LIKE SOME ADVICE. PRIMARILY MY PHOTOGRAPHY WILL BE MACRO BUT WOULD LIKE OPTION FOR WA. POSSIBLY WITH THE OPTION OF MOUNTING WET LENSES. CAMERA= OLYMPUS EPL3 HOUSING= OLYMPUS PT-EP05L TRAY/HANDLE= NAUTICAM FLEXITRAY.
  21. Thanks Alex. That's roughly the amount that I worked it out as. Can I have your PayPal details. How long do you estimate it will take to be delivered.
