  1. Nice pics, haven't been to Cozumel in many years, need to go back. Glad you got to catch up with your friend. Tom
  2. I am going to the Silver banks in March and would like some advice regarding lenses. I have the Tokina 10-17 which I think will be sufficient for the most part. However, I am considering renting the Sigma 4.5 and experiment a bit, the port I have is the Sea & Sea optical dome port. Does anyone know if this lense will work with this port? Or will the whales not get close enough to use this lense? Cheers, Tom
  3. Beautiful selection, I have always enjoyed your pictures on here and Flickr. Tom
  4. Selling my sea & sea housing for the D7000. Asking $1750.0 US, includes shipping. If interested I'll add or send pictures. Tom
  5. Thought I should add a pic so Adam doesn't feel so lonely in here! Trip is going great so far and to those coming next week you are in for a treat. Sorry the picture is weird looking, I'm sending from a tablet.
  6. That almost sounds like it's too good to be true, looks like you have to buy the battery separately but maybe I'm reading it wrong.
  7. Hey Johnny, I have been to the Socorro Islands and found the 10-17 to be ideal for most circumstances. I am of the opinion that if the shark is too far away it's probably not worth taking a pic in the first place. They may not come as close as in the Bahamas but you may get a few passes. The Mantas came close enough that I had to duck my head several times. The more you seem to ignore the more curious they get. Tom
  8. Wow! That's a dive dreams are made of, fantastic photos to match. Tom
  9. I think this is great news for those wanting to get a First camera in a D7000 at a lower price or have a backup for their first D7000. 24 megapixels just seems like overkill in a DX camera. Tom
  10. I think it's the compact macro port 30112 if your shooting Nikon but it may depend on your housing. You can go to the sea & sea website and check out their system charts to be sure. Hope that helps. Tom
  11. my favorite from Isla Mujeres 1208untitled050-7.jpg by tomeyer, on Flickr
  12. The one with the two sharks and diver in the background has a definite "Wow!" factor. Beautiful work! Tom
