  1. Well I want to thank everyone in giving me ideas to fix it. I FINALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM... Well I "forgot" that there is the -Quick Menu- where you can set your internal strobe manual in strength etc. I changed it to a quite low value in order to save some battery life. and now it is working just fine. so I think there was really the pre flash, even though I couldn't really tell the difference with my bare eyes. Well, Thanks to everyone who helped. Issue Solved - it was the pre flash... cheers
  2. Well no. I tried both flash modes... problem is still the same. on medium or low power, I get my pictures illuminated, on fullest power and the few steps before it, the picture remains dark - without light of my strobes.
  3. my strobes are in manual, on the single flash sign on both strobes. once I put them higher in power (the highest three powers) the light is not visible on the pictures, they are dark. my internal flash is set on default, had all my camera settings set to default once the issue came up, thought maybe it was my custom settings. but even on default camera settings, the issue still exists... I had the internal flash set on lowest power before. but they fire... its really weird. and maybe my camera technical understanding is not enough to understand whats causing it
  4. Well let me try to explain again, since pictures won't help. alright, heres the situation. i have my 2 strobes connected as slaves via fiber optical cables. I press the shutter, my internal flash is triggering both flashes, the D1 and the D2 correctly. if I put both Strobes at their highest output power, the picture is NOT LIT by the strobes even though they fired. if I go down 3 stops on the strobe (4 on the D2 since it got 1 lvl more) I get the light of the strobes on my pictures. I even tried with setting different shutter speeds on the camera, but this doesn't affect the outcome. I will try the less powerful settings on the strobe all the way down, but didn't want to fire them more then 1 -2 times out of the water. will jump in tomorrow morning and check once again all different power levels..... it makes no sense to me, that the highest power is not visible on the pictures, but less power is... ????? I'll have a look through these 3 links you send, I might find the answer... i was pretty annoyed underwater, when I found out about it.. all pictures are useless... (maybe because of that I saw so much stuff ) murpheys law... EDIT: I use everything Camera as well as strobes in manual)
  5. Good day. i have a EM5 MK2 in a Nauticam Housing, I recently upgraded my one YS D1 strobe and added a D2. now when I startet on doing some wide-angle, I figured out, that my Pictures don't get the light of the strobes, if I Fire them at the 3 highest powers. (4 on the D2) WTF how can I get my strobes on full power to light up my picture?? is it any camera setting? or are the strobes on full power just to slow/ fast? even If I change my shutter 1/60 - 1/100 1/250 theres no difference in the fact any advise/ help, how to solve this? cheers Chris
  6. Good Morning everybody. I was searching the internet this morning, but couldnt get the information I needed.. so maybe I'll find my answer here? Is there like a "profile" in wich i can save my Dial/Lever function settings? because for Underwater Photography I changed some buttons for much easier usage. BUT now i want to start Shooting Video as well, wich would need some changins in my button controls. Setting them all time manually would be a pain in the ass, so is there a possibility to save these settings and switch between them? Camera: OMD EM5 MK2 thanks in advance for your help!!
  7. ok, thanks for your help! just one more thing with the wetlenses I am thinking +5 should be enough, and its much easier to handle ( and i got a +10 so we could change ) for wide angle, its the INON UWL-H100 28 M67 Type 2 ? wich will fit without any other things needed straight to the housing, doesn't it? what else would you suggest?
  8. We will do lembeh as well! Is 4K worth the money? To go for mk4/5? Or is the mk2 still very good with its HD?!
  9. Hi there, I am looking for advise. (We are planning a trip to RajaAmpat & Lembeh end of the year) My wife wants to improve her macro videography. Until now she is filming with a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition + Backscatter MacroMate mini on a tripod. But with this setup, the DOF is really really shallow and if the subjects just moves a little back or forth, its out of focus. So We are now thinking, that it might be "easier" to go with a RX100, since this camera can focus a bigger range then the GoPro. Sony hast put now mark 4/5 on the market, but what i read is that the Mk2 is still the better choice for videography because of the longer (100mm vs 70mm) lens? especially in macroVideography.. And if she changes to the new setup, closeup/wideangle wet lenses will be necessary? or is closeup enough an the wide-angle is enough from the camera? are our thoughts right/wrong? any ideas? thanks a lot already for your helpful answers, u guys helped a lot myself in choosing my OMD + Nauticam very very happy with it!!!

  11. great. is it exactly the one i've posted? because there are 2 for nauticam 72mm flat port and m77 flat ports And there is a cheaper one for m67 ports, not especially for nauticam. sorry, but i live on maledives and then its hard to change gear, if its not fitting think u have this one? -> https://www.unterwasserkamera.at/shop/catalog/Objektive---Konverter/Flip-Diopter-Holder/-5676.html?XTCsid=eg9i5oh3g4f6o73d0ru6gkl5v2
  12. Anyone has experience with 3D printed flipadapter like from this Austrian Shop?! https://www.unterwasserkamera.at/shop/catalog/Objektive---Konverter/Flip-Diopter-Holder/D-D-M67-Flip-Diopter-Halter-fuer-67mm-Port.html Will it fit with nauticam Makro port 65 and subsee +10?! Cheers
  13. what do you mean, lock in place? lock out of place? any special flipdiopter advise, if i am taken the 12-50 in makro port65 with subse+10 ?? cheers
  14. Oh and really important! Need my slavecables for the strobes a specific connection?! OR is it a Standard Connection like in my YS D1 ?
  15. So you mean, i can zoom in and out just like with a Compact Kamera? And stop at for example 36mm? Because i always read that its only 12 OR 50 mm, nothing in between?!
