I am having to buy a new laptop and I am thinking about buying a MAC. I use a Fuji E900 and was wanting to know if Iphoto or Aperture supported the E900 raw format or will I have to use another program. Any advice would be appreciated.

I just bought a Inon 165 AD lense and an Ikelite lense port adaptor for my Fuji E900. I have never used any of these lenses before, so I am probably doing something wrong. I can not get the lense to lock on to the adaptor. When I put it on the adaptor, I turn it until it stops but it will not lock on to it like it does to the lense cover or the lens caddy. I don't know if it takes a lot more force to lock it on to the adaptor, or if I am doing something wrong, or if I need another type of adaptor. The adaptor I have is the UWL-105AD. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks

Attaching Auto Magic Filter to camera
bdj posted a topic in Shooting Technique, Workflow and Editing
I just received my Auto Magic filters and am looking forward to getting to use them in 2 weeks in Roatan. I am going to be using them with a Canon A620 and a Fuji E900. I am hoping someone on here has used the filter with one of these cameras. I am trying to decide if it would be better to attach the filter to the lens or to the inside of the camera housing. The directions show cutting it to fit the lens but I am worried that if I do that and the camera shuts off with the filter on the lens it will damage the filter or the lens. If anybody can tell me what works best let me know. Thanks -
Hi Trevor, Thanks for the advice. That fixed it for me. I guess I should have read the instructions. Thanks Alot, Brian

I have downloaded the camera raw plug-in but still can't get the pictures to open in CS2. I can convert them to .dng files and then open them with cs2, but i thought I should be able to open my cameras files with CS2. If someone knows what I am doing wrong please let me know. If someone knows of a better program to use than PS CS2 let me know because I would be willing to try it. Thanks

I recently bought a fuji e900. I have never shot any pictures in RAW before, so I took a few test shots so I could get used to editing raw pictures. I can not get any of my RAW files to open on the computer. I have tried Raw Shooter Essentials, S7RAW, Photoshop CS2 and all of them tell me its an invalid file. I am sure I am doing something wrong. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I have been looking at the SP-350 also but have heard bad things about the battery life. Can someone that has used this camera tell me about how many pics I should be able to take before having to change or recharge batteries. Thanks

I currently have a Canon A620 with canon housing. I am going to buy another camera for my wife and can't decide what to buy. I like the A620 but don't want to buy another one with the canon housing because I will not be able to use add on lenses in the future. So I am trying to decide between the A620 with Ike housing, the Canon s80, or the fuji E900. The A620 has great battery life, can anyone tell me about the battery life of the E900 or the S80. Any advice on any of these cameras would be appreciated. Thanks

I JUST BOUGHT THE CANON A620 WITH THE CANON HOUSING. I AM TAKING IT TO BONAIRE WITH ME IN A FEW WEEKS. I AM NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A STROBE BEFORE I GO, SO I AM GOING TO BE USING THE INTERNAL FLASH ONLY. I WAS HOPING SOMEONE COULD TELL ME IF I SHOULD USE THE REMOVABEL FLASH DIFFUSER THAT CAME WITH THE HOUSING OR WILL I GET BETTER PICTURES WITHOUT IT WITH INTERNAL FLASH. I AM NEW TO UW PHOTOGRAPHY SO IF ANYONE COULD RECOMMEND WHAT CAMERA SETTINGS WORK BEST UNDERWATER I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. ALSO, THE USER MANUAL THAT CAME WITH THE HOUSING DIDN'T MAKE IT REAL CLEAR ABOUT HOW OFTEN TO GREASE THE O-RING, DON'T KNOW IF I NEED TO DO IT EVERYTIME I USE THE CASE OR JUST OCCASIONALLY. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE ME.

Alot of people have recommended the Canon A series cameras to me for my first underwater camera. I have been looking at the A620, it seems to be a good price. Does anyone know if Ikelite makes a housing for this camera. I may start out with the Canon housing but would like to be able to upgrade later. I would also like to know if the Canon housings are good quality and allow you to operate all features. If anyone can answer these questions or knows anything(good or bad) about the A620, please let me know. Thanks in advance

Would the Canon a610 or a620 be a good starter camera or would I be better off with the a95.

If I went with the Canon A or S series, what kind of strobe would be best. Also if I didn't buy a strobe at first would I be able to get decent pictures without it.

I am going on a dive trip in a couple of months and I would like to buy a digital underwater camera before I go. I was hoping someone could recommend a good camera for a beginner. I would like to have a compact camera that is simple to use. Some people have recommended the Sealife dc500, but I have not been able to find alot of info on it. I have also looked at the canon sd500. If anyone could give me any advice on these camera or any others in this price range let me know.
