  1. Hello, thanks to everyone for the replies!! Regarding the housing, as I see many comments, I would like to make a couple of remarks. It is true that Oly houses are not comparable in quality to Nauticam, and lacks important features like a "Vacuum alarm". However, I have been using the PT-EP13 (with the OM5 Mark 2) for a long long time without a single problem. I can say the same about the PT-EP14 that I am currently using, the flood was not due to the housing, but due to the dome port itself. The dome port is 8" Glass dome port from AOI (https://www.aoi-uw.com/products/lens-ports/aoi-dlp-07.html) and basically the whole silicone from one of the sides is gone. Hence, the glass is not properly attached and takes water. This is a relatively new Dome port and this type of mistake could be comparable to buying an aquarium and losing water in the silicone joints... In any case, I have rinsed the Housing properly but the camera is completely gone. Waiting for AOI to reply on my reclamation. Thanks again, Nach
  2. Hello everyone, Ive been reading this forum for many, many years, but finally Im making the step of introducing myself! I am from Barcelona but for the past 8 years I have been living in Southeast Asia, first in Malaysia and now in Indonesia. My love for the sea originated since I was a kid, always sailing with the family. Diving is just a consequence of my quest to become closer and gaining more understanding of the oceans and its sea-life. At the same time, photographyng or filming my underwater experiences is a way for me to document the unmatched beauty of the underwater seascapes and its unique biodiversity. Looking forward to becoming more active in the Wetpixel community! Best, Nach
  3. Hello everyone! Hope this post finds you well. Unfortunately, yesterday during my first dive after 6 months, I had a very significant flooding. It was so significant that I thought I had entirely forgot to place the oring. However, a quick check revealed that everything was in place. The reason of the flooding was the dome glass itself, which in one side had separated from the port! Massive manufacturing mistake (or negligence). Well, situation is that the housing probably took 1 liter of salt water in <1 min. Camera (Em1 Mark 2) and lens are both gone and as for the dome, I am already claiming to the manufacturer. Now. as this is the first time that I get a flooding, I want to know how should I treat the housing in order not to lose another piece of equipment. I guess I should rinse it fully from inside, but any specific advice on how to recover it would be greatly appreciated. The housing the Olympus PT-EP13. thanks in advance for any info!!
  4. I would also consider a EM5 II or EM1 II from Olympus. You can get a good deal now and these are both amazing options (and the EM5 not so bulky with Olympus housing)... Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
  5. Interesting that you mention about CAF+Tracking, I only tried intensively CAF. Some pics with the fisheye also below! Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
  6. ChrisRoss, extremely clear explanation. Actually I got a used PTEP14 so Im planning to get my EM1 Mark II underwater and expand a little bit my options. I have been shooting mostly Fisheye and Macro for the last 3 years and start feeling a bit limited with the Fish Eye. I am thinking that with a 170mm+ dome in the PTEP14, I can fit both the Olympus 7-14 as well as the 12-40 (I would love to have the versatility of the 12-40 with zoom gear...). There are still a couple of the aspects where Ive found little info. One is regarding performance of 12-40 in higher focal lengths behind a dome. The other one is regarding semi-domes performance, as AoI officially recommends a semi-dome for the 12-40. Thanks again for the very relevant input. 7. I have been following this thread, very interesting observations here! I own a EM5 MarkII with Olympus housing and the Inon dome for fisheye (around 5.2 inches). Someone has experience whether the fisheye lens would perform better in a bigger dome (eg 170mm)? Im considering changing as I can fit also my 7-14... Thanks again for all the info! 8. Yes, for RAW pictures should be fine. However, you are going to have a big limitation if recording video. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
