Glad the information helped, if you want can upload a couple of images with size scaling to give you a sense of size distancing on the Aquatica 7200 housing if it would help you. I just set the system up about 2 months ago and was extremely happy with it overall. One of the nice things with the Aquatica housing is if you decide to swap strobe systems at some point the bulkheads are interchangeable (e.g. you can get it swapped to Nikonos or a mix at a later date). The video I shot was mostly second thought on the trip as had a couple situations where the stills just didn't do what I was seeing justice and even the unlit video in shallow water got the memory perspective. Have thought about getting a Y splitter arm leg so I can rig video lights to the system at a later date so I can mix during a single dive between stills and video but that will have to wait until the toy budget recovers from the initial setup.

I used these on my last trip since the Aquatica float arms I ordered didn't make it for the trip (ordered three sets total, two in the smaller lift and 1 in the larger lift size: http://www.digitaldiver.com.au/shop/product/sn-fb557025 Was quite happy with the ability to flex swap these to find the right mix as I was trimming out the new system.

I personally use regular Eneloops and have gotten 4 dives out of them before in YS-D1 and YS-D2 strobes albeit not shooting super heavily (I typically swap after about 150-200 shots in general).

I use my D7200 in an Aquatica housing uwphoto. Majority of the time while I am under, the 4 main controls I am using are as follows: ISO, shutterspeed, aperture, zoom/focus, shutter release and the 4 directional arrow keys (focus point selection). Of all of these controls, the only one I find isn't as easy for me to reach from a neutral 2 handed grip are the directional arrow keys but did not find this overly frustrating when I shoot. I shoot in full manual with camera set to continuous focus, continuous low shooting (turned the speed down through menus), If I want to swap over for video then that adds two extra controls to the list but rarely do at this point just due to light constraints.

Hi all thanks for all of the feedback. Appreciate the feedback! Ya I know a lot don't, however I know the mix of shooting I have enjoyed in the past. The one area where I felt I wasn't covering my own shooting preferences (e.g. fish portraits and pelagics) wasn't well covered when I only have a 10-17 and 105 macro. Thanks Mark on the feedback, exactly the type of situation I was thinking of. Thanks for the input Harry, seems we have some similar thoughts on the usage of Sigma 17-70.

Hi all, Currently using a Nikon D7100 in an Aquatica housing. I have the Tokina 10-17 w/ 8" dome and Nikon 105 G and macro port. Few questions for people since no info available on Aquaticas site for a couple of these lenses to cover some of the gap in my range over my next trip. 1) Currently I have a Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX DG, has anyone used this underwater and if so what were your thoughts? Alternatively, looking at adding the Sigma 17-70 2.8-4 contemporary to the mix. 2) Has anyone used the Tamron 60 mm or Sigma 50 mm macros? Thoughts on these lenses? If the Tamron what focus gear and extension did you use? Thanks in advance for the feedback.
