Hi, I pretty sure that MK1 housing wouldn't take MK2. Mk2 is slightly larger. Sorry! I moved from G15 to G7x for the ability to use auto flash on manual which I didn't have on the G15. It works very well with macro. However, my old Inon dome didn't work with G7x and produced horrible soft edges which I didn't have with the G15. I must say G7xm1 works well for macro and I am happy with the results. With M2 I hear the focus speed is much better which is great for macro as the little creatures don't hang around for long. For wide angle I use the Nauticam N50 Compact Dome Port but it's not as wide as my old Inon. So in summary, to get the best results for both macro and wide angle, I took the changeable port option which it took away my ability to switch under water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Tim. I am talking about the switch / button on the bottom left side. As u know these buttons the only way to control the Focus mode and foucs area selection. My question was, do u really need to change the setting during the dive? I have a friend who is using Nimar housing with his Canon dslr and he is very happy with the housing. Ports and domes are as expensive either. I checked thoroughly and it seems these buttons the only way I can change the settings. There is no work around. To be safe, I think I will wait for a good used housing.

Thank you. It's a Nimar housing. I think that's the only important function missing. I love to get a Nauticam. I have one in my current setup (G7X). Few months ago there were few good one for sale here on WP but i didn't have the funds. I thought cheaper housing will mean i can buy more good glass.

Hi, I planning to buy a housing for the Nikon D7200. One of the housing I found didn't have access to changing Focus Mode or Area selection. I was wondering, if I am set up for wide angle or Macro before the dive, would I still need to change the Focus mode during the dive? And in what circumstances? Thank you
