  1. The dome port has now sold. Please refer to the update advert For Sale: underwater camera system: Olympus E-PL2 in PT-EP03 housing + strobe & arms etc... for £650
  2. I'm willing to sell the dome port separately. The remaining kit is still a very capable package. Please PM me an offer and we'll work out a deal Cheers Fred
  3. Hello all, For sale is my under-used (5 dives only!) mirrorless system built around the Olympus E-PL2 in its native Olympus PT-EP03 housing. Due to several life changes over the years I no longer have to the time to go diving, so the system better goes off to a new home this summer. As individual components the set is worth much more, but I would like to sell it as a complete package because that's how it is the most useful. The complete package is on sale for £900. The package comprises the following: Olympus E-PL2 camera, full kit, boxed14-42mm kit lens, flawless optics, with front and rear caps 2 original Olympus batteries 1 third party battery (Hähnel) charger (will ship with UK or European plug as desired) manuals software CDs strap etc... Olympus PT-EP03 underwater housing, boxed, full setstandard flat port front cap zoom ring for 14-42mm lens ZEN WA-100-EP Zen Dome portfront cap rear cap Fantasea Blue Ray tray (with instruction leaflet) Sea & Sea YS-01 strobe, setfibre optic cable flex arm Nano 8-LED focus light + flex arm accessories like o-ring grease, screws etc.. Everything comes in their original boxes (with everything that I originally received as well). The items have been used, but are all in great condition. The underwater components have been used on only 5 dives and a few times snorkelling. They are all absolutely flawless, e.g. dome port is in "as new" condition. I do look after my stuff very well and it shows. The dome port was bought with a plan to add the Olympus 9-18mm wide angle lens, for which it is a perfect optical match. This is a great package for anyone who wants a complete system that's ready to dive today! I'm open to sensible offers, but buyer pays postage and Paypal charges. Local pickup in Plymouth (daytime) or Lostwithiel/Cornwall (evenings/weekends) preferred.
  4. Have you tested whether the wideangle convert WCON-P01 is usable with the M.Zuiko 14-42 /3.5-5.6 II in a Zen WA-100-EP port? How would the result compare to those taken with a 9-18mm dedicated wideangle lens? Thanks a lot!
  5. Would anyone know if there's a manufacturer in the UK that makes a port cover for the WA-100-EP dome port?
  6. I currently use a Fantasea Nano fibre optic cable to sync a Sea&Sea YS-01 with an E-PL2 in a PT-EP03 housing. My sync cable has the plug on both ends (rather than the velco thingy) which triggers the flash on the lowest possible flash power setting - 1/64. Hope that helps.
  7. Slightly unrelated, but people subscribed to this thread might know this: When in M mode, how do you change aperture and shutter speed when the E-PL2 is in the Olympus housing? Normally it's done by turning the little thumb wheel, but the housing has no gears to operate that from the outside. As to derway's question - the Olympus housing for the E-PL2 has 2 very small 'windows' (diameter <1mm) to attach a fibre optic sync cord. I have no experience with how light the HW adapter requires, but I found that the flash setting has to be on at least 1/4 to trigger the Sea&Sea YS-01 strobe. I had hoped the 1/64 power setting would be enough to set off the strobe.
  8. Hello, I have a E-PL2 and recently ordered the Olympus PT-EP03 housing with it standard port. Topside I mainly use the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7, which is amazing, but the standard port seems better suited to the 14-42II (which came in the kit, but sits in the cupboard 99% of the time). Now I had the idea to combine the 20mm with a Zeikos 0.4x fisheye adapter. The adapter seems to be compatible with the 46mm filter thread of the Panny 20mm. + = ??? But would this combination fit inside the housing with the standard port? How bad would the vignetting be? If that fails - has anyone tried the combination of Panny 20mm + Zeikos 0.4x inside the Zen dome port? Would it fit? Which dome port would work best? I know the image quality won't be as good as from the Panny 7-14mm or even the Oly 9-18, but the Zeikos is a lot (A LOT!) cheaper than either. Any suggestions? Thanks, Fred
  9. The system is now sold. Thanks to wetpixel member brianthediver for arranging a smooth transaction. I am sure that it goes to a good home
  10. Just a polite "bump" to say that the package is still for sale. It's a great price, and the individual components are worth more than what I'm asking. It may be worth considering that a more recent model of an entry-level Canon EOS (let's say, a 500D) with a latest flash (e.g. 580EX) plus camera housing (e.g. a cheap plastic Ikelite) and strobe housing etc. will set you back at least £3000-£3500. Don't miss this unbeatable price for a cheap entry into underwater DSLR photography. As it is such a bargain, I hope you'll understand that shipping is not included and any postage or other fees (e.g. Paypal fees) will be added to calculate the final price.
  11. Here's a photo of the items for sale: This is what the system looks like when fully set up for underwater use: (Photo by UK-Germany)
  12. Hello! Due to unforeseen circumstances I am selling my complete underwater photography system consisting of Canon 300D 6.1MP SLR camera Canon EF-S 18-55mm lens Canon Speedlite 550EX UK-Germany UK-D-300D underwater camera housing for Canon 300D UK-Germany SBG550EX underwater strobe housing for Canon 550EX UK-Germany flat port for 18-55mm lens Zoom Gears for 18-55mm lens S6 sync cable Kilgus MK300 strobe arms Pelicase with foam cutouts The system listed above is a complete underwater photo rig with no other items required to take great pictures at a publishable standard. I also have many accessories, several of which are included in the package: Kowalski neoprene protection for strobe housing UK-Germany Port extension ring, 45mm (extends port to fit EF 100mm f/2.8 macro lens) UK-Germany Port extension ring, 70mm (extends port for even longer macro lenses) Stofen Omnibounce diffuser (useful when flash unit is used outside of the housing, e.g. for weddings) Spare O-rings for camera housing, port and strobe units O-ring grease plus all tools, screws, attachments required for the u/w housing. All the items have been used, some have cosmetic wear and some scratches, but no part of the optics or electronics is scratched, worn or damaged anywhere. Everything is perfect working order with lots of life left in it! It won't impress anyone much if I say that the components listed above cost more than £3000 when new. But you may be interested if I told you that the whole set (everything listed above) is on sale, as a package, for: £800 If will also offer the buyer an induction session into the usage and maintenance of the system, in case the buyer decided to save postage and pick up the gear from my place in the Plymouth area. If you're in the South-West and it can be arranged I'd even suggest to go for a dive together and I'll give you 1-on-1 tuition. You can check out my website and find a collection of the images that I shot with this system at http://www.fredwobus.com/Photos/Underwater/ I have lots of other Canon gear and other photo equipment which I am selling separately, some of which combines very well with the underwater package, so let me know if you're interested. These include: Fantasea LED focus light with short flexi-ball arm (attached to housing above the port) Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM macro lens (fits inside the standard port) Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM macro lens (requires use of the 45mm extension ring, which is included in the package) Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM lens Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM lens Sigma APO 1.4x TC telephoto converter for Canon EF-mount (works perfectly with 70-200mm telephoto lens) Manfrotto 055 ProB tripod, black Benro KS-1 ball head Those extra items are on sale in accordance with their typical prices they currently command on eBay etc. If you're interested in the underwater system and would like some of these extra items with it, I'll make you a good price, but you'll understand that I will try to sell the non-underwater items separately. Thanks for your interest, Fred
  13. I recently rebuilt my website and the image links above had to be redirected so they continue working. All my underwater photos are now under their new address: http://www.fredwobus.com/Photos/Underwater/ Thanks for stopping by Fred
