Thanks to both of you for your help. Have set up camera over weekend. Took photo with port facing mirror and strobe in TTL. Have white spot in centre of photo.Strobe quenched fast. Now flash compensation on housing working.Maybe hot shoe connection issue don't know? Note after taking pic against mirror the strobe tried to recharge giving a lot of high pitched beeps.Then died after 4 more flashes.Usually it just squeels up to point of recharge...? Thanks, Mark.

Need help please. Have just purchased a canon 100mm usm f2.8 macro lens. Using canon 10D with ikelite housing and one DS- 125 substrobe with diffuser on left arm. Have have 4700 k 20 W video light on right arm with diffuser also. Have strobe set to TTL camera in manual mode 1/180 sec F 22 and ISO 100 settings. Note shooting in RAW.Distance 1.5 feet from objects. All photos very underexposed but in focus. Tried with diffuser off strobe and not much better. EV lights on housing unable to adjust + or -. Yellow TTL LED working on housing. Just wondering is it best to revert back to manual settings and the formula GN = Fstop * distance. Any input greatly aprreciated. Mark.

Hi, Thanks both for your help,will be heading to Sharm for a week.Will be doing 5 days diving in Ras Muhammad.Would any one of you know if any shops would rent a DS-125 in Sharm..? Have been looking on a magazine and see a guy selling an Ikelite DS-125 with manual controller.He is looking for 600 euros.With the manual controller does this mean that I do not need to buy a dual sync cord.The second strobe is activated by the master strobe..? Hi, Need some help, currently using canon 10D and Ikelite ds 125 and ikelite ETTL housing.Have purchased canon 17-40 L series lens.Have tried out diving in Ireland where I live but have only being shooting macro with canon macro lens. Travelling to the Red sea next month and wondering if using wide angle 17-40 should I need a second strobe,especially at 17mm.With the water being so clear is it worth spending the extra $700 for the second strobe...?Most dives will not exceed 25 meters depth. Will be shooting in RAW mode full manual settings.Using TTL for almost full reef shots.Will the second srobe justify its price...? Any help kindly appreciated, Mark.

A LOT OF MY PHOTOS WILL BE WIDE ANGLE SHOTS SHOULD I BUY ONE DS-125 WHICH SHOULD OPERATEWITH ONLY A SYNC CORD GIVING ETTL I THINK,PLEASE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG.OR WILL I GO FOR TWO DS-50'S , WILL THIS NEED 4100.5 REMOTE SENSOR TO OPERATE SLAVE ?
