  1. Everything has been sold. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. I'd be happy to. City/ZIP? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. These were purchased new by me for my wife's point and shoot rig. Strobe was used on one trip in saltwater and on one dive in fresh. They are in perfect working order. Strobe is in excellent condition. No sign of corrosion anywhere on anything. Controller has a few nicks from bouncing around on the dive boat but is in very good overall condition. Price is $250 shipped anywhere in the U.S. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
  4. Cathay is tough on everyone in Chicago - even business class. Apparently, the manager there is quite a problem for everyone and makes up the rules as he goes along.
  5. Are guys shooting with AF or manual? I shot some AF video last weekend and my camera hunted a lot with the 10-17. There was plenty of ambient light too.
  6. That seems to be the common response these day. I wonder how many are ignorant of the law and how many are just blowing smoke when they get caught. Our response should be: Don't flatter me - pay me.
  7. For Sale: Extension ring and zoom gear for Tokina 10-17 lens. Fits Aquatica Type 2 housings. I used them with the 8" dome with great results. Ring new is $209 and gear is $95. Selling for $150 and $50 plus shipping. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Thanks!
  8. I just got back from a two week trip with my D7000/Aquatica system and absolutely love it. To me, the housing seems to be very difficult to flood if you properly maintain it and use common sense. Aquatica has been around for awhile. This is my fourth Aquatica housing (Nikon 8008, Coolpix 5000, D200, D7000) and I've never had any real issues. I guess it all comes down to your comfort level and mine is pretty good with Jean/Aquatica.
  9. The thing that's so ironic for me is comparing this footage to Brian's column he used to write for Fathoms magazine. It became a turn off because of the soap box he was constantly on. It got to be a bit much reading about how evil man was in every issue.
  10. Yep, it's part of the trip. A week at Garden Island in Taveuni then a week at Beqa Lagoon. Hopefully, a tiger will show up!
  11. My D7000 housing is supposed to be in Fiji with me in two weeks. I hope it gets here in time...
  12. I wore gas perm contacts for thirty years before my recent cataract surgery. I always thought soft contacts weren't available for astigmatism but just got them for diving and they work great. Very comfortable too.
  13. When I pan my D7000, it's VERY jittery. I'm new to DSLR video and don't know what to do about it. A pan from my Sony HC9 is very smooth. Here's a frame grab from Edius after doing a "save as" in QuickTime Pro: It's jittery in QT Pro as well as on the timeline in Edius. I used manual focus in program mode with a wide aperature and low ISO. Thanks for any help!
  14. I owned this system before and it's capable of taking outstanding photographs. Good luck with your sale!
  15. I can recommend this guy without hesitation. He's wonderful! http://www.bestbaliguide.com/cgi-bin/en/db?product=home#cat
