reefsafe started following Red Filter for Nauticam RX100V Housing
-
I have a Nauticam RX100v housing with flip adapter with wet wide angle. I wanted to add a red filter to pair with video lights with ambient light filters. Was wondering if there is anything that would fit between the wide wet lens and the port or should I put a red filter inside the housing?

Removing scratches from a dome port

I recently had to polish out a fairly good scrape. I tried Novus liquid first but it was too deep so i ordered this sand paper kit from Amazon and went through the whole stack. Finished it off with Novus #2 and it came out great... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6A7D9A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -

Sony RX100VA owners Flash and battery life

I thought that was where the Pre-flash came into the equation but this camera doesn't have it. -

One more question, this camera doesn't have a Pre-flash so how does it work with TTL strobe? -

Ok. Thanks -
I just bought an Sony RX100VA and one of the issues with it is poor battery life especially when using the flash to trigger strobes. In the menu there is an option for "Flash Compensation", which adjusts the amount of flash light in a range of –3.0 EV to +3.0 EV. If I change the this to the lowest level i'm assuming it uses less power and so will extend camera battery life but will doing this have any affect on firing strobes ?

I bought 2 of the strobes from Cameramans store on Aliexpress. One is still working but one failed after a short period. After lots of messages they sent me a replacement strobe after I mailed back the defective one at my expense ($60). The new worked for about 1 month and now does not fire. The LED focus works and the red/green charge light works but no strobe fire. i sent about a dozen messages to Cameramans store but none have been answered. Definitely a waste of money and time

I just picked up the Fantasea Line UWL-09F yesterday. There's a great review of it on Blue Water photo site which puts the image quality on par with the Nauticam wide angle but its about $500 cheaper.

I just received 2 of these (Sea Frogs) today. Paid $255 each shipped, so I figured why not give them a try. These are my first strobes so i'm having a bit of trouble interpreting the user manual, it's in poorly converted English. I attached a picture of the rear controls and the 2 buttons i'm having an issue with labelled 1 & 2. #1 button appears to be the focus LED. It unscrews about a quarter turn then pops out. If pressed in the focus LED comes on, the button can be turned left or right when depressed to lock in position and keep the LED on. However, if it is locked in to the 'ON' position the LED will not activate if button #2 is also pressed in. Is there a difference between locking in the left or right position or is this just either way for convenience? #2 button appears to lock out the #1 button when depressed and locked into position. if #1 is pressed in and #2 is out the LED focus light will activate. I really don't understand this as it seems redundant to have #2 button control whether or not #1 will activate?? Am I missing something?
