  1. You would probably be better off going with the a7rii because it will fit and function 100% without issue, the housing has a baseplate just for it. I feel like trying to rig up the housing to work for an mk3 is just asking for headache and probably more trouble than it's worth.
  2. Did you ever get a kit? I'm in FL and have an Ikelite setup for sale.
  3. YouTube can be a great resource for learning but honestly the best thing to do is get hands on time with your camera and learn by doing. The biggest thing to study & mess around with is the balance of ISO, shutter speed, and aperture…plus focusing and depth of field but you get the idea. Once you've got that down you'll be fine for shooting underwater.
  4. Macbook Air is the way to go. I work with the full adobe suite and my MA is perfect for travel. The only downfall is the limited storage space so worst case scenario just grab an external SSD and you're all set.
  5. Like new Ikelite dive housing for Sony A7 ii / A7s ii / A7r ii with extra grip, extension, and 8" dome. I recently upgraded to an A7iii and this housing isn't compatible. This has been used for less than 2 hours and only for snorkeling in Florida freshwater springs. It is in damn near brand new condition aside from a superficial scratch on the inside of the dome that isn't visible in photos due to the focus. 6843.72 Housing 4077.02 Right hand quick release handle 5510.28 Body extension (tube) 5510.45 8" Dome 5509.27 Standard zoom clamp/sleeve 5509.28 Special zoom clamp/sleeve Everything from the factory - manuals, extra/replacement parts, lube Everything retails for about $1900, I'd be happy with $1,300 plus shipping. Located in south FL, willing to ship wherever you'd like. If you have any questions at all please let me know! This specific setup fits about 24 different lenses, find out if it works for yours here - if not at least the housing will. http://docs.ikelite.com/reference/port-chart-fl-sony-a7.pdf
  6. Any battery above a standard "household" size can be hazardous if damaged or used improperly - I think a lot of people need to take that kind of thing more seriously.
  7. You can also embed a youtube player in your post by using the "code" icon in the reply bar - next to the image icon it looks like <>. On the youtube video click share then embed and it will give you the code to paste into the code module here.
  8. You can also get a separate SquareTrade insurance policy - they cover all types of electronics and I have had GREAT service/coverage from them with issues in the past.
