  1. Now that us Canon users have a high megapixel camera on the way, I would ask Nikon users to provide some feedback on thier use of the 800E. Did you run into any moire problems?
  2. Last year I was browsing the mirrorless forum when I came across a couple of photos posted by a member, fatky90. I really liked the photos. One stood out though and I wrote to Kyle telling him what a great photo it is. Here is a link to the photo. http://cosmiclog.nbc...to-contest?lite Over the weekend I happened to be browsing through the May 2014 Nat Geo. What did I see but Kyle's photo on page 8. I sent him an email and asked if he had posted anything about this on Wetpixel. He modestly said he had not. I could not help doing it myself. Kyle congratulations!!!!
  3. I will post it over there. Thanks for the heads up.

  5. I have never done any super macro underwater. I was wondering which Subsee to start with? A +5 or +10? I am leaning towards a +5. I would be using this with a Canon 100L and full frame. Thanks
  6. The housing is still available. The strobes and S180 viewfinder are sold. The housing is in near perfect condition and will seem new. As I mentioned above I will sell the housing for $1700.00 and the housing plus a Seacam Pro viewfinder for $1850.00. Paypal is best. John
  7. I have never met a UW photographer that was a proponent of dedicated housed flashes. This seems to mostly breakdown like this. Cons Expensive $1000.00+housing,$400+ flash Limited Beam Angle Guide number much lower UW You need dedicated 6 pin ports I think. No easy back up if your system fails. Most good UW photographers shoot manual anyway Pros True brand specific TTL. This would seem good for Macro. Full camera control. 2nd Curtain sync Anyone else?
  8. Yes the housing is still available. I will lower the price again. Housing $1700.00. Housing with Seacam Pro viewfinder $1850.00. The Seacam Pro viewfinder is the basic finder and retails in the US for $395.00 The S180 and strobes are sold. John
  9. I saw some DEMA reports that Ikelite is introducing a new small strobe. It seems to compete in the Z240 area. Not much info. just 4 AA cells and Optical sync and some sort of STLL. Has anybody heard anything else or seen some specs?
  10. The Ike strobes and the S180 viewfinder are sold. That leaves the housing and the strobe buyer did not want the Ikelite 4100.6 EV Controller/Slave. I will drop the housing to 1795.00. This is a great housing in excellent condition. It has the newer Seacam locking system and a newer style shutter release. I will sell the Ikelite 4100.6 for $75.00 plus shipping to the USA only. Shipping would be too high to make sense shipping offshore. This item was purchased by me last year and never used, like NIB. With paperwork Ike box and Warranty card.
  11. The Ikelite 160's are sold with the extra batteries and charger.
  12. Jango Are you interested in everything, housing, finder, strobes but not the EV controller or just the strobes without the EV controller? I will ship to Belgium with signature required. I would knock off $75.00 for the EV controller. I will try to work something out on the shipping. Maybe split it? Best Wishes John
  13. Here are a few photos of the S180 and Ike 160's The Ike 160's also come with the Ike 4100.6 EV Controller/Slave. The strobes come with two extra batteries and original instruction manuals.
  14. For Sale Seacam 5DMII housing in excellent condition. $2000.00 The housing is set up with one S6 connector and one N5. Seacam S180 viewfinder in excellent condition. $1000.00 2 Ikelite DS160's, Two extra batteries and one charger. $1400.00
