  1. Nauticam 8.5" Acrylic Dome with Neoprene cover + barely used Canon 17-40mm f/4 USM lens in perfect condition. Both only used for underwater work for about 90 or so dives. Perfect for wide angle UW photography and videography.

Can be sold seperately of course. Located in NYC.

    Lens - $450

    Dome - $400

Somewhat negotiable prices - email me at info@juliabahlsen.com for photos etc!

  2. I'm currently upgrading from a Nauticam 5D Mark III set up with extension ring 50, 8.5in acrylic dome and either Inon strobes or Kraken lights to the Nauticam 1DX Mk II system w/ extension ring 90, 230mm optical glass dome and Keldan 8X lights.

The new set up is obviously significantly heavier and will be negatively buoyant (my last one was almost perfectly neutral), and I'm currently looking at the STiX float arms to add to my ultralights, or to buy the ultralight aluminium float arms - do you guys have any thoughts/tips on this?

  4. Hi everyone,

This year I made a short film advocating for shark conservation, and I worked with shark conservationists Cristina Zenato in the Bahamas and Jim Abernethy in Florida to tell their personal stories, as well as my own. I showed it at Aperture Gallery in NYC in May, and as part of the official selection of the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival in NYC in October.

Would love for you guys to check it out and tell me what you think!

  5. On my current Nauticam housing (NA-D810), I had a weird issue this fall in Roatan. Everything was fine, at first, but at some point during a dive, the light started flashing blue, as if it had been reset. It kept setting itself back to flashing blue for the next couple of days, even though I tried both my spare batteries in it. Sometimes it would stay green all night and through one dive, then flash. At this point the housing was three years old, about 100 dives.

After 3 days, the problem disappeared and did not return. I'm thinking some stray moisture in somewhere...

I've had this issue with my NA-5DMKII housing as well in May when it went from constant green vacuum to blue flashing while diving, but the actual seal was still intact even with that reset light. I've only used it a couple of times since then but it's kept a constant green light every time.

Did you figure out what it was or did it just go away and stay away?
