  1. It’s been sold. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I've listed this on eBay. So accordingly, I'll drop the price to $675 plus shipping for members here. Thanks, Andy
  3. Selling my Nauticam 180 degree straight viewfinder. It's been used sparingly and is in very good condition. The glass is perfect. $800 OBO. I accept Paypal and will ship international. Thanks
  4. I have a Subal Zoom gear for a Tokina 10-17 fisheye for Canon, in excellent condition. Selling for US $75 plus shipping. Thanks.
  5. I still have this housing and camera. The camera will come with at least three batteries, more if I can find them, and a charger. The housing will come with two sets of o-rings and ULCS dovetail base adapters for mounting strobe arms. I can send more pics upon request. I'm really anxious to sell this so make me an offer. I'm willing to take $1,000 for both or I can sell separately. Thanks.
  6. I have a subal c40 housing in great shape I'm looking to get rid of. I've had it to 215 feet with no problem. I would take $800 US for the housing, no dome port. The housing works with either the 40D or 50D, which is what I used with it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I was recently in Vancouver Island shooting Steller sea lions and the AF came in pretty handy. Much of the time I have it disabled but this was a case where the AF worked really well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Yes, the focus noise is a pain. I have the same problem using a Tokina 10-17. What I do is find a long section of clean sound, loop it to the length I want, and use that sound, just dropping out the original sound track and adding a bit of music too. I mean it's just the sound of exhaled bubbles every now and again unless you are picking up something else. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Still available and willing to sell separately. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Hi, I have a Subal C40 port in great condition I'm trying to sell. It's listed in the classifieds. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. This is still available. $1,200 for both OBO. Thanks
  12. How about $1,500 for the housing and camera? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Here is what Reef has to say about the Zeiss 12mm - "It is the sharpest super wide rectilinear lens behind a dome port we have ever tested on any format. Corner sharpness here outperforms the best Nikon and Canon glass on professional full frame bodies at equivalent coverage angles. It also compares favorably to the best APS-C DSLR cameras, and the best that the Olympus / Panasonic Micro Four Thirds system has to offer." They make this lens in Fuji mount as well and the price has dropped considerably. I have been shooting an X T1 and X Pro1 for 90 percent of my daily photojournalism work and love them. The autofocus of the X T1 is really quite good. Is it Canon good? No. But it's good. I've not shot it underwater and have no plans to. But I think the autofocus would be just fine for wide angle work, not sure about macro. Maybe, maybe not. The file quality is great and will match my 5D MKIII up to about ISO 2,500 IMO. It's a great camera but I'd have to see how well it works in a housing. And since I shoot strictly wide angle as nice as the Zeiss is it is still not wide enough for my needs. 14. I'm selling my Subal C40 housing. This will fit either the Canon 40D or 50D. It's in good condition. I can send more photos upon request. I also have a Canon 50D I can sell with it. It was my backup camera and only used in this housing twice. I also have a focus gear for the Tokina 10-17mm. This housing has two Ikelite bulkheads installed. It has been an excellent housing but I've upgraded my camera. I'm asking US $1,500 OBO for the housing and US $500 OBO for the camera. Buy them both and I'll take US $1,800. Make me an offer on the zoom gear. Should note this has never been flooded. Thanks, Andy
  15. Late to the party but I just made a similar decision. I shoot 5dMKIII's above water and was shooting the 50D underwater in a Subal system. I love the files from the 5DMKIII but I also love the Tokina 10-17. I shoot wrecks here in the Great Lakes. I was ready to house one of my 5D's but was struggling with the lens decision. I bought a 7DMKII and really like it so I ordered a Nauticam housing this week. I really love the sharp corners I get with the 10-17 and the ability to zoom. In our water I shoot wide open often so I can't always stop down to get sharp corners. There is a part of me hoping I didn't make the wrong decision.
  16. Just got my 7Dmkii today. Currently I shoot a Subal housing. I'm concerned about the red toggle and pad for the sub command dial when using dry gloves, which I do for nearly all of my diving. Any experience with these controls and thick gloves or dry gloves? How does the fit and finish and usability of this housing compare to Subal? I'd rather wait for Subal or Aquatica but there is no time estimate and I don't want to spend half my dive season or better waiting. Thanks, Andy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Does anyone know if Subal has a housing out for the 7D MKii yet? If not when? I see something listed on the Backscatter site but no picture price or info. I will try to call them later today if I get a chance but thought I'd ask here first. Thanks.
  18. Hi, I have an Ikelite DS-125 in good condition for sale. I'll try to post pictures later today or tomorrow when I get home. Comes with a battery but no charger. $300 plus shipping.
  19. I didn't see this yesterday either - http://www.thespec.com/news/canada/article/866554--paul-watson-resigns-as-head-of-sea-shepherd-over-u-s-court-order
  20. I forgot to mention that obviously dive magazines aren't the only user of UW images. The point is the number of shooters has gone up while rates have gone down along with the opportunities for publication.
  21. A quick look at the numbers and you will understand for most it's near impossible to make a living as an UW photographer. There are just a handful of paying dive magazines. Most only publish 4-10 times per year. Rates for photo use vary from $100 for a spot image to $1,000 or so for a cover image. Now each issue runs a couple feature length stories and several smaller stories. Flip through a magazine and look at how many people contribute to each issue. There's a big pool of photographers and a not so big pool of cash. M
  22. Lens has been sold. Flat port is still available.
  23. I'm selling my Canon 60mm and Subal FP-68/3 Flat Port that goes with it. Both are in mint condition and have been used only a handful of times. I'm asking $300 for the lens and $200 for the port, plus shipping. I'll sell both for $450. Glass is perfect. I'll post pictures when I get home tonight. Thanks.
