  1. LOL - SO glad to hear I am not the only one! My boss is in the states in June, and I already have stuff being sent to her mothers house so she can bring it back for me....... It's a disease!
  2. Hi All fairly new (like 48h) to this forum. I just did a bad bad thing and looked at the section on unrequited gear lust. Oh my I thought I had some gear addictions .... I need to lock myself out of that forum I think Cheers
  3. Hi All thanks very much for the hints - this has most def got me running more in the right direction. The photo certainly helped! I have been scouring the web and the globe for a dome port to attach to the DX5000 (not much joy yet, but at least the great white trip is not until Aug so I have some time. The inon thing is also an option from the quick look. Can I assume then, that this dome port is used for macros as well? or is that something else again? Thanks so very much, I feel less frustrated about this now! Cheers
  4. Hi All Apparently I had this in the wrong part of the forums, so have repasted back into here (thx Pakman ). I now confess, that after reading posts in this forum, to being even more confused than before I started ;( . The Sea&Sea site says that my housing is now unsupported and gives me no information of any use what so ever. I found something that indicates maybe the DX-5000 is compatible with MMIII stuff. Any comments? Going bald with this! Thx for help Hi All a few years ago I bought a Nikon Coolpix 5000 and DX-5000 housing for a dive trip. I have used it a reasonable amount, but I am really a point and shoot photographer. I have 2 very cool dive trips this year (one with the great whites in South Australia - second time) and Ningaloo Reef, north-western Australia. As you can imagine I am chasing both a wide-angle lens and some macros. From digging around on the net, I know my camera can use a 0.68x Wide Angle Lens WC-E68 with a Adapter Ring UR-E5. Now for the dumb newb qtn: I am assuming that the wide angle lens and adaptor is for land use only? or is this somehow able to be attached to the housing? I feel silly asking what seems to be a simple qtn. I don't even know where to start on the macro lenses, what I need, and how to attach etc. Ideally it would be good if I can use the lenses for both wet and dry - but not liking the chances of that I hope someone can please help, as this seems to have been a difficult exercise - this looks like a great forum. In anticipation, thanks very much!
  5. Hi Pakman thanks very much - i thought this was the right spot Never mind Will cut and paste to a more appropriate site. I had checked Sea&Sea and its now unsupported, with next to no info for me on this housing. Currently tearing my hair out as I go on hols in 3 weeks! Cheers
