  1. Hi everyone Ive been around the forum for a while but never posted before. Im in a bit of a quandary, I have a nice 5DmkIV but no experience or equipment for underwater. To date Ive used go pros and recently purchased the 7 black. Im by no means a professional, I like to take photos blow them up and hang them on the wall and in a coffee table book I put together but thats it. Ive read a lot of good stuff on the TG5, and Ive been watching some underwater housings for my canon, but the more I read and learn the more indecisive I get. I have a dive trip to Bimini to swim with hammerheads in a couple weeks, from what Ive heard thats only 15-25 feet deep and want to take some great photos! Debating if strobes would be necessary and toying with getting strobes for the GoPro? Is that silly? Then I have a trip to Fiji next month which Id like to bring some equipment, but dont really want to lug a huge pelican case across the planet. Is there a efficient backpack size setup for my Canon that I can get? Does anyone have experience with a GoPro and strobes? Is the Olympus significantly better than the GoPro? Does anyone have any tips for hammerheads? Ive read a few posts. Also is anyone selling an old housing or set up that would fit my mkIV. Thanks for any and all responses, I feel like im out of my depth here.

The dome ports have some minor dings and I’m happy to provide more info about that with potential buyers by uploading video clips or photos to show how dings and scratches do or do not affect final clips or images. All items can be bought separately if desired. (The Canon 80D body is also available for sale. It has very little use and is in excellent condition.) The NA-80D is designed to place the most important controls as your fingertips, within easy reach without having to move your hands from the ergonomic handles. Double thumb levers allow access to key controls. The locking cam-try securely mounts the camera inside the housing ensuring proper fit and function of all the controls. The core control layout, proven by generations of existing housings in the field, is retained here. This design consistency results in immediate familiarity with the control layout for people that have used Nauticam housings before, and a thoroughly refined and field tested design for newcomers to the brand. The housing incorporates technology from the Nauticam housings that came before it, but features enhanced ergonomics, more and better control access, and reduced size/weight thanks to cutting edge manufacturing processes. No competing system is easier to assemble or break down. The camera drops into the housing with a quick release camera tray. No controls need to be preset, as housing functions for dials and switches align automatically (on/off, af-m, still photo/video). The large 120mm housing port opening allows even the largest popular pro Canon wide angle lens (11-24mm f/4) to be used, and the camera can even be mounted in the housing with this large lens attached. The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is shipped with NA-80D as standard equipment. Combined with an accessory vacuum valve (PN 25625), this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur. The Nauticam system is temperature compensated, eliminating false alarms caused by a change in outside temperature, or from a camera heating up on an action packed dive. For close-focus wide angle work, Zen Underwater turned conventional 'big dome' wisdom on its ear with this 100mm (4") dome port. Designed specifically for the Nikon DX AF Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED and the Tokina Fisheye 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 DX zoom, the DP-100 allows the photographer to get in close where a large dome just won't go for stunning close focus wide angle images. At only 340g (12oz.), the DP-100 fisheye dome port offers welcome relief to the luggage bloat of dive photo travel and the ever increasing expense associated with checking large heavy camera systems. Small and Lightweight. Great for close-focus wide angle photography. The exterior is treated with a proprietary scratch resistant coating to control lens flare. This coating yields an amazing 99.7%+ transmissive value for true distortion free images. The heavy duty (4mm thick) aluminum shade is designed to offer a lifetime of service and extends far enough to protect the dome when placed face down. 17. Hello! I am selling an Aquatica housing for Canon 5D Mark II that has accompanied me for a couple of years. It is an extremely robust and reliable piece of kit, which has never flooded nor given me any trouble. I need to sell it because (against my will...!) I am moving to Sony. I have added a couple of pictures I took with it so you can get an idea of the potential. The pack includes: -Aquatica housing: It is used but in good working condition. The housing has acoustic and visual water sensor, an hydrophone cable and the flash cable. Very practical -8'' dome: has one very tiny scratch that should be easy to remove, and that is invisible on the pictures anyway. Include a shade and a neoprene cover. -Flash cables: 2x short nikonos cables (5pin) + 2x10m nikonos cables (5pin), ideal for landscape or studio pictures -Canon 5D Mark II body: little cosmetic imperfections, but in excellent condition. Never fell on the floor -Canon 20mm/F2.8: excellent optic for landscape photography. It has a couple of cosmetic imperfections that were there when I bought it, but it works perfectly. -Accessories: 2xBattery + Battery charger + 2 x16G memory card + Camera strap Do not hesitate to send me a PM if you have any questions. Have a nice day!

  21. Selling my 2.5-year old Canon G7X Nauticam housing with camera, lenses and accessories. (The reason I am selling is that I've upgraded to a Canon 1DX Mark II). You'll just love the fantastic pictures you can get with the camera! And you'll really love the vacuum system which (should) prevent any housing flooding. The wide angle and macro lenses give you a wide range of choices, and the short port allows you to change lenses underwater, giving you lots of flexibility even after you've started your dive. This equipment cost me around $3,500 and I'm asking $1,500 for everything (plus $75 to defray shipping costs; if shipping is less, I'll refund the difference; if more, I'll eat the difference. Shipping to addresses in the USA only). As expected, there are a few cosmetic blemishes and very minor wear and tear. Everything works great. Importantly, all glass and acrylic is scratch free. 22. Aloha, I have an Aquatica housing that was originally for the Canon 5D III but also perfectly fits the 5DS and 5DS R (I used the 5DS R in it). Asking $1,600 OBO SHIPPED. Will split the shipping with you if it's going internationally. I can accept Paypal, Venmo and Zelle. The good: * I have lots of spares for the housing that are included (O-Rings, button tips, clips, latch). * Includes the Backscatter vacuum system (Electronics no longer work but works just fine with the pressure gauge and includes spares for it as well). * Includes the optional ISO lever. * Replaced both Nikonos bulkheads and the strobe electronics last year when it was getting maintained. * Never flooded. The bad: * It is used and shows scratches and boat rash. * Had an Aquatica leak detection system in it that no longer works. I removed it but will include it in the sale just in case you want to try and get it working. Otherwise it's a great housing and I wouldn't be selling if I hadn't switched camera brands. Note this is not the updated Aquatica 5DS/R housing, I believe the only difference is the large video button. I also have: 18463 extension for the Canon 8-15 fisheye (in conjunction with any dome), with the Aquatica lock (making it essentially the same as the 48463). $125 18426 macro port with great glass and neoprene cover. Has marks in the finish from attaching the Reefnet adapter. $150 18453 extension (no lock). $75 Reefnet Subsea Adapter for the macro port above. $50 Or take it all for $1,800 shipped! Please let me know if you have any questions at all! Lyle
  23. So first off, I'm shooting with a Canon 7D MII in a Nauticam housing w/ 8' acrylic dome. Switching between a Canon 18-55mm 3.6f & Tokina 10-17mm 3.5f fisheye. I've been on a few trips now with other photographers, we are shooting in water with almost perfect visibility, ranging from 20-30m. Why is there so much dam haze in my photos? It makes the water look like there is barely 3 meters of visibility. It looks terrible, I've compared shots in the same time frame to my Gopro 6 and other photographers cameras and the difference is huge. They shoot with sony's, no extra lighting and their RAW images look amazing already, I can edit mine to look semi decent but the outcome is below average. I don't understand what's happening, I've attached some jpeg samples of unedited RAW images. Is there some setting on my camera that I'm missing, is anyone having this issue with the same model camera?
  24. I have here a complete, ready to dive package of an ikelite housing with a canon T5i rebel and multiple lenses and ports. This setup has served me well over the years, and I have travelled far and wide with it, but it is time to upgrade to a camera and housing that can get me below 200'. I would prefer to sell this as a package for someone looking to get into underwater photography, and buyer pays for shipping and insurance. 25. I am selling my Subal Canon 5D Mkii housing with the vacuum system and a camera body. I will be selling the package as a whole and will not split items. This is a superb underwater camera set up that produces great results with both wide angle and macro. This system without any problems at all – it has never been flooded. it comes with one battery and charger. It took overhaul services with professional recently. I am selling it for USD2000. It is located in Hong Kong, but I will ship worldwide at a reasonable rate. Please feel free to ask any questions.
