  3. Hi, I am having issues getting sharp corners using the combination: Camera: Sony A6300 Housing: Ikelite Dome: 6 inch dome (5516.12) that is recommended by Ikelite (there is another 8 inch dome recommended too) If you see samples attached, they are shot at f8.0 and still show quite soft corners. I have been reading forums and tutorials, and I found 3 potential solutions but want advice before I invest in more gear required to test them 1. Get a bigger dome - there is an 8 inch dome from ikelite that fits this lens too. Not ideal as I have to purchase ANOTHER dome and its bigger and makes CFWA a bit harder which I like to do 2. Decrease aperture size more, like down to f12 or something - didn't actually test this during my trip because I didn't process the pictures until after, but f8.0 seems to be small enough based on what I've read from forums? 3. Get a close up lens - does not seem to have trouble focusing, but could be the edges are too close? Ikelite also does not say it needs a close up lens Any one with similar experience? Anyone with some ideas? Any input would be appreciated guys!

  11. Hi everyone, I'm putting together a set up around a 5D MKIII body + Nauticam housing. I'm mainly interested in getting a Canon 16-35 mm (f/4 preferably) lens, with a large (8 inch) dome port, along with the appropriate extension and zoom gear. I'd also eventually be interested in a Canon 8-15 mm fish eye lens, along with dome port, zoom gear, extension. If anyone has any of these parts, please get in touch! Cheers, Nick

  13. Hello everyone, What would you recommend to clean the Fantasea UWL-09 wet wide angle lens? I read on the web that Novus polish #1 is a good choice however I'm not that sure yet... and what about soapy solution? Thanks in advance
  14. I am searching for Seacam stuff PVL 20, 25, 30, ,45 Superdome And so on. If you have some seacam stuff for sale, please let me kno, kind regards Armin
  15. I'm selling my Ikelite 8" modular dome + 2.75" lens extension (Ikelite product numbers 5510.45 and 5510.11). Used only a few times (literally, 3 or 4). Bought it without checking if my Nikkor 14-24mm would fit, which it doesn't, and after borrowing a 15mm prime from a friend I actually figured out that I don't like wide angle photography underwater so much. In mint condition. Comes with protective hood. Manufacturer's image of said product: http://www.ikelite.com/images/products/accessories/5511.1/5511.1-dome-kit-a.jpg I'm thinking in a price range of P20,000 or EUR400 (RRP for this set is US$550 / EUR525). I'm on Camiguin, Philipppines. Shipping costs for the buyer, within the Philippines it will be shipped insured via LBC. Price depending on destination. Since regular postal services are not very reliable here, and other services virtually unaffordable, I don't want/dare to ship this outside the Philippines. Payment via COD (in Philippines) or IBAN/SEPA transfer to my European account. Drop me a message if interested.
  16. I do a lot of in-stream photography and I would like to use a compact 6" dome on my Ikelite housing rather than the giant 8" dome. This is for an A7RII and primarily a 28mm F/2 with fisheye converter. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this setup or if someone knows if it's possible or not. Ikelite's port chart makes no reference to the 6-inch dome other than that the 15mm Sigma causes vignetting. I tried to contact Ikelite with no success. I also got in touch with Backscatter.com but they didn't seem to have any idea either. Thanks. Thought I'd check in with folks here before I fork money over to try it out.

Package includes: Ikelite housing, Canon 7D Body, 8 inch modular dome, flat port for Canon 100mm lens, super wide port body for fish eye lens, extended port for 10-22 wide angle lens and Ikelite zoom and clamp sets. 18. Need help please! I am about to start with underwater photography, looking to buy the Nauticam housing for the D750 and learning all that I can before I buy anything and get into the water with it. Given the big investment, I am aiming to soften the blow by using my existing Nikkor 20mm 2.8D to start with and eventually upgrade to a Sigma 15mm (I am also leaving macro port on hold for a bit). I know the Sigma 15mm will work with an 8.5" dome, but since the Nikkor 20mm isn't one of the officially supported lenses by Nauticam housings, I haven't found any information of the 20mm working with this same port. I wanted to hear from people that have tested it out and to hear what they thought about it, if the images coming out are decent enough and know if a diopter is needed (if so, which one). Any help and feedback will be greatly appreciated. So far dealers are sharing their "gut feelings" and it isn't overly convincing. Thanks!!
  19. Looking for a pair of Inon Z240 strobes, with or without fiber optic cables and arms. Thank you!

  21. For sale is the Zen 100mm Fisheye Dome Port for Nauticam housings, Tokina 10-17 lens. Excellent condition, no scratches. Part # DP-100-N120T $899 new, asking $650 or best offer. Open to offers. Will load pictures asap. From Bluewater Photo: This is a small 4-inch glass dome port for use with the Tokina 10-17mm or Nikon 10.5mm fisheye lens on Nauticam housings. For close-focus wide angle work, Zen Underwater is turning conventional 'big dome' wisdom on its ear with a new 100mm (4") dome port. Designed specifically for the Nikon DX AF Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED and the Tokina Fisheye 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 DX zoom, the DP-100 allows the photographer to get in close where a large dome just won't go for stunning close focus wide angle images. As an added bonus, at only 340g (12oz.), the DP-100 fisheye dome port offers welcome relief to the luggage bloat of dive photo travel and the ever increasing expense associated with checking large heavy camera systems. Small and Lightweight Great for close-focus wide angle photography Includes Front Dome Cap Underwater Photos from the Zen 100mm glass dome for the Tokina fisheye The Zen 4-inch glass dome for the Tokina 10-17mm fisheye lens is awesome. Zen makes versions for almost any housing brand, including Ikelite, Sea & Sea, Nauticam, Hugyfot and more. It is difficult to scratch (unlike the regular port), very small for travel, light underwater, very sharp, and it allows me to place my dome in small places where a larger dome would interfere with the subject. I like to get REALLY CLOSE to my close-focus wide-angle subjects, and the ZEN 4-inch dome let's me do that. Lighting the subject is easier than when I use a larger dome, and I like not having to use an extension ring. The only disadvantage is that you can't do over/under shots. That, and the fact that there is no good neoprene cover that will stay on the port. So protect your port! I recommend this setup for both cropped-sensor and full-frame dSLRs - Scott Gietler
  22. This was a perfectly good dome until the zoom gear vibrated off my lens, resulting in some light scratches on the INTERIOR of the dome (near the center). They are not terrible, and I got away with using using the dome on several dives post scratch. Most times a few clicks with the clone/heal tool in LR or PS and blemishes if visible were removed. I have replaced this with a new dome so this has one been sitting on my shelf for the last couple of years. Asking $100. Free shipping in US.
