  1. For sale a Nikon D200 body with Sea&Sea housing plus ports and lenses. This kit has served me well for the past several years. But I’ve decided to go Canon with my next rig and now it must all go. The Nikon body is in decent shape. The flash needs help to pop up, and the battery door needs a small piece of tape inside to keep the battery in full contact. Also the rubber around the front dial has stretched some, so I trimmed it back to not interrupt the housing dial. There are scuffs, and wear on it, but it’s still very functional. But still a great camera to start with underwater. Housing body has a lot of scuff marks on it. But never flooded. The acrylic view windows have minor scuffs, but are not an impairment under water. Comes with port cover. 9” acrylic port has some minor scratches, and could probably be buffed out, but I can’t see them in any of my shots. Extension Ring comes with Port cover. Macro Port and base have minor scuffs, but no scratch on the lens. Base port comes with port cover. Single Sync cables are in great shape. Dual sync cable works fine. The locking collar on it has some cosmetic issues when it seized once, and needed some encouragement. Focus gear for the 105 is an Athena, and works great. Zoom gear for the 12-24, Sea & Sea, works great. All lenses come with caps, flare hoods and Nikon bags. Macro Lens: Nikon 60mm, Nikon 105VR Wide Angle Lens: Nikon 12-24 Tape residue around the zoom ring-but if you’re putting a zoom gear around, you’ll likely be adding some tape anyway. Top Side Zoom: Nikon 18-200 All are for sale individually, or as a whole kit. We can make a deal if you want to whole lot, or at least a bunch of it. Just add your own strobes and arms. I’ll add the manuals I still have to any of the items, but all can be found online. Please note, I cannot ship any items until Dec. 21, 2013. 2. I've been shopping around for an underwater housing for my new DSLR that replaces the video cameras I used since the turn of the century. There are many amazing choices out there, but I haven't found what I'm really looking for, so I'm tossing this out to see if anyone has any ideas. The biggest obstacle I had with my previous underwater video system is that it was exceptionally difficult, if not impossible to get a lot of macro shots because I physically couldn't position my head behind the camera to frame the shot — at least not without adverse impact on lots of flora and fauna when I stretched my body out on the seafloor. I was looking into right-angle viewers and external monitors when my old system gave up the ghost. Since then, on land, I've been using a CamRanger that plugs into my camera and allows me to use my iPad as both an external monitor and a controller. It's a brilliant solution, and it has other benefits as well, such as touching the picture to select a focus point, or automated focus stacking, etc. So it seems to me that an underwater housing could do away with most of the mechanical controls, and just have a through-the-hull port for a cable that goes to a tablet. The electronics between the camera and the tablet could be a CamRanger or a custom built controller. Benefits of this over the mechanical housings I've been looking at: - eliminate a large number of mechanical penetrations and associated cost, maintenance, and risk of leak - housing is no longer physically suited to just a single camera model, perhaps delaying obsolescence, certainly reducing cost even further - focus rings and gears won't be needed - advanced programmable controls - external monitor I asked Ikelite and Nauticam and Aquatica if they were working on any such product. Ikelite and Nauticam replied "No", and Aquatica didn't reply. Any ideas?
  3. Hi, My Nauticam NA-EM5 housing's shutter lever doesn't return to it's original position after pressed sometimes. This more frequently happens when I depress the lever partially (half way to focus). Inside the housing I've noticed the spring loaded lever that pushes on the camera's shutter button doesn't move smoothly but the external shutter lever is smooth. Anyone else have this problem? I was thinking about putting some silicon liquid on the internal lever. Any recommended silicon that's safe for housing? I take good care of my housing (rinse, soak after day's diving). Thanks Jason

Originally purchased at Optical Ocean Sales, see 10Bar housing info on the Optical Ocean Sales website. http://www.opticaloceansales.com/manufacturer-brand/10-bar/ Both camera and housing are in very good condition. There is one issue, the 10Bar housing plate was dropped and 2 of the corners are chipped. I've used it on multiple dives since with no issues. Recommended solution is to file down corners. 24. I'm selling my Aquatica D800 system because my RED has bumped it to the bench. In addition to the housing and ports, I'm also selling my D800 body and lenses. The D800 is the best DSLR I've ever had, and I really hate to part with it, but I use all Canon glass on the RED, so it doesn't make sense to keep the D800 for a backup since I would have to maintain a full extra set of lenses. I'll be better off with a backup 7D body that can use the same glass as the RED. I bought the Aquatica housing and the D800 in August of last year and used it daily until January. Since I started shooting with the RED in January, the D800 has been on the shelf. So it has had less than 6 months of use. There are no issues with the housing, never a hiccup. I like it even better than my previous Aquatica 5DII housing which gave me 2 years of daily service until I switched to the D800. The system has two ports, a standard macro flat port and an 8" Acrylic Dome with shade. The dome is 3 years old but has only been in the water a few times so it is still in perfect condition (I was living in Lembeh Strait, so shooting mostly macro). The housing has two Nikonos style sync ports. It also has an electronic vacuum monitoring system installed. It also has an Aquatica Aqua View Finder (straight version) which gives you a gorgeous huge image to compose with. Also included is an Aquatica 18457 extension ring. The storm case that I'm including to transport the system does not have custom cut foam for the housing, I'm just using pieces of foam to cushion everything. Here's the housing portion of the system: Aquatica D800 Housing Aquatica Flat Port Aquatica 8" Dome Port + Shade Aquatica Aqua View Viewfinder Vacuum System Storm case $4500.00 Plus your choice of shipping. The D800 system includes the body with a 32GB CF card, a Nikkor 24-120 f4 ED VR Zoom (topside general shooting lens) and a Sigma 15mm f-2.8 that hasn't even been in the housing yet (already sold my 60mm macro). The camera has less than 5600 shutter activations. Comes with the normal accessories: battery, charger, USB 3 cable, manuals, strap and body cap. Here's the camera portion of the system: Nikon D800 Body Nikkor 24-120 f-4 ED VR Zoom Sigma 15mm f-2.8 WA 32GB CF Memory card Factory accessories $3600 Plus your choice of shipping I will sell the housing system and the camera system separately, but I won't break out individual items from either package. If you want to buy the whole works, you can have it all for $8000 and I will pay ground shipping anywhere in the continental US. The system is currently with me in Bali, but I will be returning to the US June 14 and bringing it with me. If you want it in this part of the world, let me know before June 13. Wetpixel members get first shot at this system. When I get to the US everything that hasn't sold is going on eBay with a reserve above the prices offered here. Here are a few photos of the components: Housing Front Housing Back Custom installation of vacuum system. Uses the "flash down lever" to activate. Aqua View Optical Viewfinder 8" Acrylic Dome port with shade and macro flat port Nikon D800 with Nikkor 24-120 f4 ED IS Back View of D800 Sigma 15mm f2.8 WA lens
  25. I'm selling my trusty Amphibico Phenom/Sony Z1U system. I listed this awhile back but have had no serious offers, so I'm knocking $500 off the price. For the last couple years I've been shooting primarily with a Canon 5D MKII, and now upgrading to a Nikon D800, so it's clearly obvious to me that I won't be shooting the Phenom Z1 enough to make it worth keeping. The exterior of the housing was recently refinished with a black wrinkle finish to match my Aquatica system. At that time, it was completely disassembled and all o-rings either serviced or replaced. It has not been in the water since refurb. The 94 deg. optic also had a fresh dome put on during refurb. It also has a flat port for macro that has only been on the system a couple times. It has an Xit404 Pentamirror for easy wide angle viewing of the top LCD. The system has two spare handles (one left, one right) and a pair of spare acrylic domes for the 94 deg optic (both in good shape with no scratches). It comes with Amphibico's custom fitted Pelican travel case. The camera is in good working order. It made one trip to Sony about 3 years ago for a new tape drive mechanism. It also had the viewfinder LCD changes at the same time because it was showing some burn marks. The camera's main LCD shows a few bright "speckles", but they are only visible when shooting a really dark area and haven't bothered me to the point that I felt like changing it out. I've included a photo of the LCD so that you can see it's not a major issue. Included in the system is: Phenom Z1 housing. 94 degree WA optic. Flat port 2 spare dome ports 2 spare handles Xit404 Pentamirror Sony Z1U video camera Some misc camera accessories (as pictured) Fitted Pelican case Complete package cost is US$3500. I will ship anywhere in the US for Free (by ground). If you need it faster, just pay the difference in shipping cost. It will ship with the housing stuff in the Pelican case and the camera and accessories in a separate box. I'm currently in Indonesia, but the camera and housing are in the US all packed and ready for shipment. I will consider international sales, but shipping will be negotiable.
