  1. Selling individual parts of my Sea & Sea system for Nikon D800 camera body, housing, ports, arms/clamps, TTL converter, and zoom gears. Below are links for each item. Recently switched to Sea & Sea Sony system. Feel free to ask questions! Hope to find a good home for someone who will enjoy these for a better price than new. All have some wear and tear because I have traveled a lot with this system. The functionality of each part is in very good and fully working condition. 3. I have a question for owner of Gates housings with threaded ball mounts on the top of grip handles. Could you please tell me how significant is a problem with threaded ball mounts becoming loose? In the review of Gates AX700 / Z90 Housing (Sony FDR-AX700 / HXR-NX80 / PXW-Z90 / PXW-X70) by Karena and John Ellerbrock (owner of Gates), they pointed out on a problem with threaded ball mounts: "Ball mount on the top of the grip handles have been ¼-20 threaded type for over 20 years. They worked well, but have a tendency to rotate loose. Especially when re-positioning GT14 lights. So we fixed it. Within 3 days of our return to the office, a new design was done and headed to production. No more loose / spinning ball mounts." To address the problem, they developed no spin ball mounts, which are sold separately for $94 a pair (!). How big is this problem to spend additional $94 to address this design flaw? Also, have you experienced any other problems with this housing? Many thanks.

  5. Hello! I am selling an Aquatica housing for Canon 5D Mark II that has accompanied me for a couple of years. It is an extremely robust and reliable piece of kit, which has never flooded nor given me any trouble. I need to sell it because (against my will...!) I am moving to Sony. I have added a couple of pictures I took with it so you can get an idea of the potential. The pack includes: -Aquatica housing: It is used but in good working condition. The housing has acoustic and visual water sensor, an hydrophone cable and the flash cable. Very practical -8'' dome: has one very tiny scratch that should be easy to remove, and that is invisible on the pictures anyway. Include a shade and a neoprene cover. -Flash cables: 2x short nikonos cables (5pin) + 2x10m nikonos cables (5pin), ideal for landscape or studio pictures -Canon 5D Mark II body: little cosmetic imperfections, but in excellent condition. Never fell on the floor -Canon 20mm/F2.8: excellent optic for landscape photography. It has a couple of cosmetic imperfections that were there when I bought it, but it works perfectly. -Accessories: 2xBattery + Battery charger + 2 x16G memory card + Camera strap Do not hesitate to send me a PM if you have any questions. Have a nice day!
  6. I couldn't help myself and upgraded from D810 to D850 so I know I need to sell my Nauticam housing for the D810. Includes vacuum seal package, original packaging, and spare bits. The housing is only 2 years old and used on 5 dive trips so it is in excellent condition. Looking for $2200 USD and will cover postage in the continental US
  7. I want to go into surf photography and I am looking for an underwater housing for my Canon 7d. Max. underwater depth of 5 meters + is fine. I don't need a real dive housing. Aquatech or SPL would be ideal. also looking for a dome port for over/under shots and a flat port for my canon 24mm 1.4 ii (height: 90mm). please send me a message if you have something available. cheers
  8. Does anyone have any experience with purchasing insurance against flooding (and other perils)? When I upgraded this past year (2018) to a more expensive camera system, I purchased insurance from H2OInsurance.com. Their policy seems to cover a number of perils, including flooding of the housing. Since the camera was very expensive, I thought this might be worth the cost. By the way, I checked and my homeowners would NOT cover the cost of the camera if the housing flooded. Any thoughts out there?
  9. Since underwater housings are expensive new, this is the perfect time to upgrade to a relatively new Nauticam NA-D810 housing, purchased in 2016, used only on one dive trip. Never flooded. And, I have the Nikon D810 camera for sell as well. All in excellent condition. Nauticam.com is selling the NA-D180 housing for $3700.00 so this is a real bargain. Here is what comes with the purchase of the housing: NA-D810 Housing Spare silicone rubber O-ring for housing, O-ring remover and lubricant CR-2450 Battery Instruction Manual Nauticam 20cm Lanyard and Strobe Mounting Ball Set (attached to housing and a $95.00 savings) Nauticam Single Nikonos 5-pin Bulkhead with Nikon Hotshoe (attached in housing, and a $130.00 savings) For the Nauticam NA-D810 Housing only: $1650.00 USD, excluding shipping and insurance. If using Paypal, fee will be incurred depending on country. Please PM me here, or through my website at http://www.kandfoto.comor through my Facebook page, at https://www.facebook.com/Kandfoto
  10. Selling my 2.5-year old Canon G7X Nauticam housing with camera, lenses and accessories. (The reason I am selling is that I've upgraded to a Canon 1DX Mark II). You'll just love the fantastic pictures you can get with the camera! And you'll really love the vacuum system which (should) prevent any housing flooding. The wide angle and macro lenses give you a wide range of choices, and the short port allows you to change lenses underwater, giving you lots of flexibility even after you've started your dive. This equipment cost me around $3,500 and I'm asking $1,500 for everything (plus $75 to defray shipping costs; if shipping is less, I'll refund the difference; if more, I'll eat the difference. Shipping to addresses in the USA only). As expected, there are a few cosmetic blemishes and very minor wear and tear. Everything works great. Importantly, all glass and acrylic is scratch free. 11. Aloha, I have an Aquatica housing that was originally for the Canon 5D III but also perfectly fits the 5DS and 5DS R (I used the 5DS R in it). Asking $1,600 OBO SHIPPED. Will split the shipping with you if it's going internationally. I can accept Paypal, Venmo and Zelle. The good: * I have lots of spares for the housing that are included (O-Rings, button tips, clips, latch). * Includes the Backscatter vacuum system (Electronics no longer work but works just fine with the pressure gauge and includes spares for it as well). * Includes the optional ISO lever. * Replaced both Nikonos bulkheads and the strobe electronics last year when it was getting maintained. * Never flooded. The bad: * It is used and shows scratches and boat rash. * Had an Aquatica leak detection system in it that no longer works. I removed it but will include it in the sale just in case you want to try and get it working. Otherwise it's a great housing and I wouldn't be selling if I hadn't switched camera brands. Note this is not the updated Aquatica 5DS/R housing, I believe the only difference is the large video button. I also have: 18463 extension for the Canon 8-15 fisheye (in conjunction with any dome), with the Aquatica lock (making it essentially the same as the 48463). $125 18426 macro port with great glass and neoprene cover. Has marks in the finish from attaching the Reefnet adapter. $150 18453 extension (no lock). $75 Reefnet Subsea Adapter for the macro port above. $50 Or take it all for $1,800 shipped! Please let me know if you have any questions at all! Lyle
  12. As deeply as it pains me to do this. I’m putting my complete, barely-used and mint-condition Sony A6500/Fantasea underwater kit up for sale. 12 months ago I foolishly tried to buy my way into a better work/life balance, with more time spent underwater. But I have failed resoundingly. So the kit has been used on a grand total of a single one-week dive trip in the Maldives in January last year, and hasn't got wet since, so it's in as mint a condition as used kit can be really. The image quality this compact little kit puts out is really quite exceptional. Comparing the results to what my dive buddy was getting with his Nauticam/D800e setup, it really wasn’t giving up a lot (with added bonus of terrific 4k video as well). The phase-detect autofocus is Sony’s latest tech, and performs terrifically (even in dim, and murky water). The image quality is fantastic, and the housing is compact, comfortable in the hands, and as easy to operate underwater as the pricier aluminium options (Fantasea really have done an excellent job with the ergonomics). It's a complete kit sans strobes. I wanted the feature-set of a fully-laden Nauticam setup, with all the mod-cons, but without all of the weight, so I went with the A6500 paired with the excellent Fantasea Housing and Ports, and Sealife Flexconnect Handles and Arms (which are great for rapidly adjusting the position of your strobes underwater). It's setup for wide-angle (Sony 10-14mm f/4), Macro (Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 Macro), Fisheye (Sony 20mm f/2.8 + VCL-ECF2 Fisheye Converter), and general shooting (Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6), with all of the necessary ports and extensions. And to make life easier (and reduce the stress of taking so much expensive kit beneath the waves) there’s also the terrific Leak Sentinel v5 Vacuum System (with LED indicators), a moisture detector in the housing itself, and an LED strobe trigger for fast and consistent strobe control via fibre optics. Fully assembled (sans strobes) the rig only weighs 4kg (that's under 9lbs!) so it's a terrific improvement size/weight wise compared to a conventional DSLR rig, and one that can travel with you safely in your carry-on luggage. The only thing that needs to be added are strobes or video lights, and you’ll be off shooting. The full list of components is as follows: CAMERA: Sony A6500 Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 Macro Sony E 10-18mm f/4 Sony E 20mm f/2.8 Sony E 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 Sony VCL-ECF2 Fisheye Converter 3x Sony NP-FW50 Batteries HOUSING: Fantasea FA6500 Housing for Sony a6500 and a6300 Fantasea FML Dome Port A6 Fantasea FA2 LED Strobe Trigger Fantasea FML Flat Port 34 Fantasea FML Lens Gears SEL1018 2x Fantasea FML Port Extension 25 Fantasea Light Shielding Pad SEL16F28 Leak Sentinel V5 SeaLife Flexconnect Dual Tray 2x SeaLife Flexconnect Ball Joint Adapter SL999 (male) 2x SeaLife Flexconnect Grip 4x SeaLife Flexconnect Flex Arm 2X Sea & Sea Fibre Optic Cables Spare O-Rings, grease, vacuum pump etc. etc. The kit cost $8,960 AUD, and I'm looking for $6,300 AUD for it (that's about $4500 USD at the moment). So get yourself some cheap happiness at the mere cost of my misery/failure! Pickup available from Melbourne, Australia. And I'm happy to ship worldwide. Cheers, Mark Here’s the kit: And here are a few shots from it that I quite like:
  13. Aloha, I bought these for one project (shooting a wedding from inside a shark tank), tested them in my pool, shoot cancelled and now they just sit. I feel like I'll regret this, but want to move the money into other gear. 2 Water Wizard housings: $260 each. $500 for both. They are $320 new right now at Backscatter. 2 Pocketwizard Plus 3's: $90 each. $160 for both. They are $125 new right now at BH. 2 15' Ikelite extension cables: $70 each. $120 for both. They are $99 right now at Backscatter. Or take all of it for $700. Shipping included to the US, can work out international. If you aren't familiar, these are used to wirelessly trigger strobes from in the water and they work really well. Great solution if you have the need: http://aquatica.ca/en/tlc_water_wizard.html Thanks, please let me know if you have any questions! Lyle
  14. Nauticam NA-D800 housing for Nikon D800 and D800E cameras, in good working condition. Some scuffs on bottom. Very minor scuffs on top. Rubberized coating on handles starting to peel (looks ugly, but no effect on functionality). Center threaded hole on bottom has been re-tapped to 1/4-20 threads (to match other two holes); one Nikonos style bulkhead with hotshoe plus two optical bulkheads; two one-inch balls on handles included: $1750 Nikon D800E 36MP DSLR camera body, in excellent condition, shutter count 11,740: $950 or camera body and housing together for $2600 No ports or lenses included. Only the camera body and housing with original accessories that came with them. Camera comes in original box with all contents (battery, charger, strap, etc.) Location is Hawaii, U.S.A. buyer pays shipping and shipping insurance
  15. Getting ready to sell this complete set in early February in England as I am currently still abroad. Posting a little early in case anyone is thinking of purchasing soon, but please note I am unable to sell right now, and I also need to get it back to England safely! Happy to consider selling either as a set or in parts depending on interest. Olympus e-m1 camera body (silver/black edition) with 60mm macro lens and 8mm f1.8 fisheye lens. Nauticam housing with vacuum pump feature (and vacuum pump tool) 20mm extension ring, micro port 45mm ring, F.I.T PRO 4.33" optical glass dome port (with neoprene cover) 2 INON z240 strobes with fibre optic cables All arms and clamps with 8 floats on (camera still negative) Flip diopter holder for M67 macro port and CMC1 super macro lens Olympus Mini flash trigger Selection of spare o-rings, camera bag and of course the usual chargers, cables etc... One of the diffusers on a strobe has a crack in it but does not affect operation at all. One of the strobes focus light does not work, and the strobe takes about 10-15 seconds longer to power on than the other strobe. Lastly one of the ball joint adaptors to attach the strobe to the arm is a tiny bit broken. The outer plastic handle snapped off so its difficult to remove the adaptor but the strobe is very well secured (so actually its better like this!). Operationally everything works fine and I've never had any issues with it. The set up has been used on less than 100 dives. I just don't get it in the water enough to justify keeping it, therefore I am looking to sell. Would prefer to sell within the UK as I don't trust courier companies that much and don't want to risk breakages, plus getting insurance for the parcel will be tricky I think. I would be happy to drive / meet half way depending on distance/logistics. But happy to discuss. If selling individually, posting is not a problem. The lot £5k ono

  23. Hello everyone, I am upgrading to a Nauticam D850 system and am selling my Nauticam D7100 housing and other gear. I'd like to sell as a system if possible. We can talk about breaking it apart if I don't have any luck selling it as a pack. I also have two lenses that I'm selling separately from the Nauticam system I'm parting with. System ($4500) Nauticam DA 7100 housing: Comes with a Nikonos Sync port for hard wiring strobes if you want. Pretty decent condition but like any housing put to good use there are some scratches, mainly along the bottom. Never gotten wet inside and the internal mechanisms are like new. Nikon D7100 Bodies: I have three bodies but am keeping the primary body for a friend. It has the most use. The two remaining bodies are very clean and have not been used nearly as much as my primary, which, again, I'm keeping. Cosmetically, the bodies are very clean. I am open if someone does not want both bodies, but my personal preference is to have a back up. Each body comes with battery, charger, cable, strap and manuals in their original Nikon boxes. Nikon 10-24 DX lens: I used this lens on five dives only and on a trip to Hawaii topside. Otherwise it is essentially new. You will need a dome port as I am keeping mine. Also includes the appropriate Nauticam zoom gear. Zen Mini Dome (non removable shade version). In very good condition. Glass is flawless with no scratches, body has minimal cosmetic wear. Tokina 10-17 lens. I have only used this lens underwater. When not diving it is sealed inside of the housing and stored in an ice chest. Very clean, no visible wear. Includes Nauticam zoom gear. Kenko 1.4X tele-converter with extended zoom gear. Does NOT include the Nauticam 20mm extension ring required to use this device. I'm keeping that for my new system. Two Inon Z240's. I have four of these and the two for this system are the back ups, so they have less use and are cleaner than my primary strobes. Each strobe comes with a ball mount. Still, there is some minor scratches on the body but nothing that in any way affects form, fit or function. Each comes with a diffuser and spare o-ring set. Does NOT include fiber optic cables. 800 Lumen Fisheye Fix aiming light. The light works great but the lock switch does not prevent the dial from rotating when not in use. If it gets bumped it can turn the light on. Comes with two batteries and charger. Also Selling: Nikon D810 body only: $1700. Cosmetically clean. 30,714 shutter clicks so a lot of bandwidth to go to the expected life of 200,000 shutter actuations. Comes with battery, strap, manuals, cable and original box. Sigma 20mm 1.4 ART. Beautiful lens. Bought it for astrophotography but never really ended up using it. Been sitting sealed in a case for just under two years, so it is really in perfectly new condition. $600 FIRM I have photos of everything listed above. Just shoot me an email if you want them. Joe [at] joebelanger.com
