Went back to FL again this year with a LDS to do some shark diving in Florida. The conditions were not the best. A couple of days the water was green and had an east current. Had to make the best of the situation. Here are pics from the trip. I hope you enjoy: All were shot with a Canon 5DM3 in an Aquatica housing with 2 Ikelite 161 strobes. For this trip, I used a Canon 8-15mm Fisheye lens. More pics can be found here at: http://www.seansydnorphotography.com/p948662645

We just came back from testing the Ikelite package with the 18-55 lens and we were very pleased with the results. Haven't had a chance to try it out with the Tokina 10-17 but I must say I loved the range I had with the 18-55. You can get some really nice wide, mid-range shots and even some close-ups nearing macro. I used a single YS-D1 with the setup, and encountered some odd issues where the strobe would fire a second time after each shot. Sync was OK but batteries drained faster because of this issue... Here are some shots and a link to the short review: http://blog.housingcamera.com/product-reviews/package-review-canon-eos-rebel-sl1-100d-ikelite-housing

Hello, I am not able to set custom white balance on my Sony a7Rii with Ikelite housing with 8 inch dome underwater. It works fine above water with the same setup, but not underwater. Could anyone share their experience and hopefully advise? Many thanks.

Hello guys! I have upgraded my equipment and am looking to sell my old stuff. It is well worn but well taken care of. The Ikelite housing has been on about 1000 dives, same goes for the dome. The macro port is practically new and has been on less than 10 dives. There are two sets of Ikelite arms in here as well as multiple sync cables. I need it gone, hence the super good deal. Here is some info and photos: Ikelite Canon 6D housing (last service in August 2016), comes with strap wrench, spare parts/maintenance kit/manuals kit, more o-rings and grease than you’ll know what to do with Ikelite 8” dome port, Ikelite port extension 5510.24, Ikelite port extension 5510.11 - both these extensions fit a great variety of popular wide angle lenses like the Canon 17-40, Tokina 10-17, Canon 8-15, Sigma 15mm etc Ikelite glass macro port and Ikelite port extension 5510.28 for 100mm macro lens Ikelite 2x full arm sets: each have a 9" section, a 6" section and a tray mount Ikelite to Ikelite sync cables: 2x dual sync, 1x single sync Akona camera roll bag. Can be converted into a backpack. Customizable dividers. Photos: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fexuxlirqdosy59/AABNyWaO1Mkaw4_s6omSH1-Ea?dl=0 Take it all for 1400 USD!

I have two Ikelite sync cords for sale: 1. Ikelite TTL Dual Sync Cord 4104.62 One Nikonos Bulkhead to Two Ikelite Strobes: $110 This cord is in new condition. It has never been used or in the water. From the Ikelite website: Y-shaped sync cord with Ikelite-style plugs on strobe ends and Nikonos-style plug on the housing end. Provides TTL operation with any compatible system featuring a Nikonos-style N5 TTL bulkhead and Ikelite strobe. The Ikelite-style plug is widely recognized as the most reliable waterproof strobe sync connection available. Built-in strain reliefs reduce stress on cord ends. This cord is compatible with Nikonos, film and digital TTL systems. Do not use this cord with non-TTL systems. If unsure, contact your housing manufacturer or choose a non-TTL sync cord. This cord requires the attachment of two strobes for waterproof operation. To shoot with only one strobe, try a single sync cord instead. 2. Ikelite Sync Cord - Ikelite Strobe to Nikonos Bulkhead TTL Product Number 4104.6: $80 Used a few times and has been in storage in a workshop for a few years. From Ikelite's website: Coiled sync cord with an Ikelitestyle plug on strobe end and Nikonosstyle plug on housing end. Provides TTL operation with any compatible system featuring a Nikonosstyle N5 TTL bulkhead and Ikelite strobe. The Ikelitestyle plug is widely recognized as the most reliable waterproof strobe sync connection available. Builtin strain reliefs reduce stress on cord ends. This cord is compatible with Nikonos, film and digital TTL systems. Do not use this cord with nonTTL systems. If unsure, contact your housing manufacturer or choose a nonTTL sync cord. To connect two strobes to a single housing bulkhead, try a dual sync cord instead. f you are interested, please contact Norb Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain reasonable offers. I can accept Square, Paypal, and personal checks. I've found Square to be the easiest these days -- I can create an invoice and send it to you via email, and you can then pay with your credit card without sending that information to me. Personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods. Thanks! I've sold quite a few things here on wetpixel, and everyone has been friendly, courteous, and great to deal with. Thanks to Eric and Adam for making this forum work so well! Norbert Wu

For sale is: Ikelite D7000 housing (bought spring 2015) D7000 body (no lens) (bought September 2017) 8" modular dome port with 2.75 inch extension 6" macro port (no manual focus knob) (5510.35 should fit most 100/105 mm macro lenses) Single Sea & Sea/Inon to Ikelite sync cord Zoom ring + zoom gear/clamp + extra zoom ring Extra O-rings Extra 8" dome shade (broke, but taped together and works fine) Extra tubes of lube. All domes come with neoprene covers. Micromesh repair kit (used once) included. Price = US$1750 includes shipping anywhere in North America. For shipping outside N.A., please contact me for a quote. PayPal preferred (no money wires). If Canadian, will also accept e-transfer. Items are located in Prince Edward Island, Canada. D7000 shutter count = 14749. Does not come with flashes or arms. Housing was just serviced in early September (2017). The 8" dome has a bunch of microscratches, including one long one on the inside of the dome, some scuff in the center of the dome and on the extreme edges. That said, I have never once noticed these affecting image quality. It seems once submerged the scratches get filled in with water. The only time some of the microscratches become visible is with over-unders, but those are easily cloned out in post. I always keep the longer scratch positioned at the bottom of the frame so that it's always submerged and not visible. Would be willing to provide some raw images if anyone wants to look at photos for themselves to verify these scratches aren't visible underwater. I used the micromesh repair kit once and it worked great. Dome shade has some dings. I'll leave the GoPro mount on it for the next user. Flat macro has only been used 2-3 times. Great condition.

Hello: I wonder if there is more people using this case; I can not believe I am the only one with such bad luck. Let me explain myself: Last September bought an Ikelite housing for Canon EOS M3, it was an upgrade from a canon G7X with a cheap Canon housing. I can nottell how much I regret updating to this case. I am on an 8 month trip around southeast Asia, came without testing it first (my mistake) and once I got to Bali I found the MF/Left button did not work, whenever I pressed left button the ISO (up button) would come instead. This button is needed specially to change focus point position. Other problem the case had was when going deep 30m/90ft the case became unusable ( the 60m depth rating is a joke), like the back plate was being pushed inwards by water pressure jamming some buttons, like if they were being pushed all the time. Last year I took my cheap Canon underwater case to 50m with no problems at all. I have to say that Ikelite was very comprehensive and accepted me to return the camera from Bali and sent it back to me to the Phillipines free of charge, also they gave me a zoom gear needed. They tested the case with the camera they have and said after adjusting the camera holding plate it was OK. Only problem is they returned the case with the same problem, overall the case works better now but MF button still does not work. I told them this but they did not answer back. In my opinion the problem is caused by the substandard and poorly designed back wheel, it would be OK to find this piece on a cheap chinese case but not on a 1000$ Made in USA case. If they had used something similar to the back wheel on the Sony RX100 or Canon G7X case I feel there would be not problem as the push buttons are completely independent from the backwheel. Newer EOS M5 and M6 cases do not have this back wheel; is like they knew this wheel is problematic and yet they still kept on selling it, I think they should not. Now on top of that some small grains of sand have started to build and sometimes the push buttons get stuck. The sooth surface of this buttons makes getting them out almost impossible underwater. after having seen other cases like Fantasea and even Meikon the buttons have irregular shapes that can be grabbed more easily. I guess the only thing I can do is wait until I get back to Spain and send it together with my camera to have it serviced and then just get rid of it...If I sold it the way it is now I would feel like I am robbing money. If I was back in Spain I would also ask for a full reimbursement. I am also thinking of getting an EOS M6 case instead as it does not have this back wheel but just thinking of investing more money on ikelite makes me sick. Now I have to spend one more month in the Philippines, going next to Sulawesi and Raja Ampat with a camera I can not properly use. It is kind of ruining my trip. Regarding the camera I enjoy the EF-M 11-22 a lot, only the corner quality is quite bad with the 6" dome and the 28mm macro is quite crisp but a bad choice. WD is so short that at 1X it focuses inside the port; I added a CM-2 and I can get to do 0.5X. I should have opted for the EF-S 60 I also own. I also have the 15-45 with me but I do not like its performance neither in the dome nor in the macro port Regards Javier

I'm a traveling glamour photographer shooting models on beaches. We were going to a remote dive resort in Fiji so I bought this complete set-up last month for their famous tiger shark dives. Didn't get enough free time to do more than 4 total dives with this rig (2 tank shark dive @60', 1hr pool session filming the models doing Discover Scuba class, 1 hr shore dive filming models doing first ocean dive in Discover class). Overall I don't see myself dragging this case around to many other events, I just have too much above water gear to begin with and for lighting I really do enough video it makes sense for me to have video lights. This kit is as PERFECT as you can get, here's your chance to get a complete rig for half of what you'd normally spend! 100% functional and perfect cosmetic condition. Housing works with the Canon 5D mkIII, 5DS, 5DR and the latest 5D mkIV models (must install the included rubber washer kit). Some of the pieces below have not been used at all (like the flat port assembly I bought to do macro stuff with my 100mm macro lens, only was too busy all week working on above water model shoots to do the nudibranch dives!). Here's what you get: Ikelite 6871.03 Housing for Canon 5D Mark III (5D mkiv with included kit below) Ikelite 5510.45 8" Dome Ikelite 5510.35 Flat Port Assembly Ikelite 5509.27 Standard Zoom Clamp/Sleeve Ikelite 5509.28 Special Zoom Clamp/Sleeve Ikelite 4070.01 SA-100 Arm/Single Cord Kit Ikelite 1061.1 DS161 Strobe (x2) Ikelite 4067 Li-Ion battery (x2) Ikelite 4067.1 Li-Ion battery charger Ikelite 4080.02 Double Ball Arm Ikelite 4080.05 Compact Ball Arm Ikelite 4080.06 Ultralight Double Ball Arm Ikelite 5510.28 Port Ikelite 5510.22 Mod Port Ikelite 5510.11 Mod Port Ikelite 4103.51 Single TTL Cord (x2) Ikelite 4103.52 Dual TTL Cord Ikelite 9295.02 update kit mkiv (can be reversed and used for mkiii) Ikelite 945.01 Strap Wrench for port Ikelite 200.5 Flat port Neoprene Cover Owners manuals, warranty paperwork, lube, gaskets, tools and spare pieces all included, even the original boxes and padding each came in! As a bonus, I also have a 3rd party dome housing for a GoPro Hero5. Good to about 15' deep, it's an acrylic dome with a housing for the Hero5, floating handle and removable trigger system that allows you to capture amazing 1/2 below water shots. Perfect for snorkeling or pool work (we used it to film new divers going through their Discover Scuba dive). Also a Pelican 1615 Wheeled AIR case with foam cut for all of the above (total weight with everything above in the case is only 38 lbs!) with a little bit of room to spare for extras. Total cost for everything above (obviously, the camera body and lenses are not included!) was around $9,000.00 new. Asking $4,000.00 obo. Might be willing to separate a few of the generic pieces and case if you're just looking for the housing and already have your own lights. I'm in Philadelphia, PA USA, willing to ship worldwide at buyers expense, or meet anywhere in the greater Try-state area at no charge. PM your email if you'd like higher res or additional pics.

I am selling a complete underwater video setup for $250 plus shipping. Camera: The camera is a Canon HF200 1080HD video camera which includes 3 batteries, all of the cables and remote control for playback. Included with the camera are 2 32gb memory cards. Housing: The housing is an Ikelite 6091 housing. This housing allows access to all of the camera control, most importantly manual white balance. It also includes the external red filter. Additional Items: In addition to the camera, housing and port I am including a Canon WP-V1 housing. The camera and housing show some wear but they work great and have never been flooded. The system brakes down small to to fit in a backpack which can be carried on to a plane. I have two used Ikelite DS161 Strobes/Video lights up for sale. I purchased both of them used last spring 2017 from Ebay. I used them both less than 10 times (probably more like 4 times) and realized that they are just too unwieldy for instream photography. I recently bought a Retra strobe and I think that the size is a bit more what I am looking for. So I am now trying to offload these two Ikelites. One of the strobes has some cosmetic wear from the previous owner (see pics). The other strobe is in great shape. Both strobes are fully functional and operate well. Both have battery packs, sync port covers (metals screw caps) and both have the 1" ball adapters. However, I only have one diffuser and one charger. Looking for $1400 for the pair - shipping and PayPal fees included. PayPal or local pickup in Seattle, WA. For feedback - Ebay: iakona808 FredMiranda: Jsatoshi My website is JasonSChing.com -Shoot me a message on any of these if you'd like me to confirm. Thanks for looking! -Jason

Doing a little closet cleaning and found a few more items. Prices include PP and shipping to the CONUS. Will consider other locations at buyer's expense. You can find feedback for me over on Fred Miranda where I have bought and sold plenty of camera gear over the years (search Josh Rackley). Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see more images. Item 1: Inon UCL-165 M67 (67mm thread mount). Excellent condition. I actually don't think I ever used this, but lets say a couple dives at most to be safe. $100 Paypal’d and shipped. Buy with the below lens adapter (item 2) for $120. Item 2: Ikelite 67mm Macro Lens Adapter for 3.9" Ports. Excellent condition. Part #9306.82 $30 Paypal’d and shipped. Item 3: Ultalight arm adapter for a UK Light Canon light. Excellent condition. $10 Paypal’d and shipped. Item 4: Ikelite housing for Canon G12 and G11. Includes Ikelite housing, dual tray handle, single tray handle, BOTH a Canon G12 and Canon G11 (both fit in the housing), 2 wide angle dome ports (# 6430.4), 4 canon batteries (one didn’t make the pictures), 2 chargers, and 2 diffusers (not pictured). One WA dome port has a scratch about 3/8", could possibly be buffed out but not 100% sure as it’s a little deeper than the other port, and the other has a few minor scratches that could be buffed out, but don’t recall them effecting image quality. Never flooded and never leaked. Has a few niks and scratches from a few years of well-loved use. However, I haven’t used this since 2015 when I got a DSLR (also for sale in another post). I kept it for backup but it has stayed in the closet. It was last serviced by Ikelite in February 2013. Cost of that service was $113. I would highly recommend it goes in for a service before using it since it hasn’t been used in a while and I can’t guarantee the integrity underwater, so selling cheap. It may be fine and you could give it a try with no camera. $350 Paypal’d and shipped.
