  1. Selling a barely used Ikelite DS-51 strobe, with Ikelite Tray, Quick Release Arm, Handle and EV Manual Controller. Links to the different components below. DS-51 Strobe: $400 Flex Arm: $20 EV Manual Controller and Cable for DS Strobes: $50 Tray with Release Handle: $30 Package: $450 All in all this setup has been in the water probably 8 dives, 4 of which were freshwater. Then the camera I had broke, and I set the whole setup aside for a while because new cameras/housing are expensive. :-) Can send pictures as well, if desired. Asking $450 for everything. Also willing to sell pieces of this setup.

  3. Hi, I am having issues getting sharp corners using the combination: Camera: Sony A6300 Housing: Ikelite Dome: 6 inch dome (5516.12) that is recommended by Ikelite (there is another 8 inch dome recommended too) If you see samples attached, they are shot at f8.0 and still show quite soft corners. I have been reading forums and tutorials, and I found 3 potential solutions but want advice before I invest in more gear required to test them 1. Get a bigger dome - there is an 8 inch dome from ikelite that fits this lens too. Not ideal as I have to purchase ANOTHER dome and its bigger and makes CFWA a bit harder which I like to do 2. Decrease aperture size more, like down to f12 or something - didn't actually test this during my trip because I didn't process the pictures until after, but f8.0 seems to be small enough based on what I've read from forums? 3. Get a close up lens - does not seem to have trouble focusing, but could be the edges are too close? Ikelite also does not say it needs a close up lens Any one with similar experience? Anyone with some ideas? Any input would be appreciated guys!
  4. Looking to buy a new or VERY WELL cared for and fully functional IKELITE 5503.90 port for a canon 17-85 USM lens.
  5. ~ Perfect for someone who wants to upgrade to a DSLR underwater rig! ~ I have decided to do a complete upgrade to my current rig so I am selling everything I have! This rig has been well-loved for the past 3 years. There are obvious signs of wear and tear, all cosmetic and not affecting the quality of photography whatsoever. I have included photos to show this because I would rather be totally transparent about it. I am willing to separate the camera hardware (body and lenses) from the underwater equipment. However, I would like to keep all the underwater equipment together and not separate any bits and pieces from it. Camera Hardware: - Canon EOS 6D body (full frame camera) + battery and charger + original box + manual/cables/neck-strap - Canon EF 17-40 f/4 L USM (ultra wide (weitwinkel) (weitwinkel) angle lens) + lens shade - Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM (macro lens) + lens shade + original box + manual Underwater Equipment: - Ikelite housing for Canon 6D (last service was in August 2016) - Ikelite 8” dome port - Ikelite port extension for 17-40 wide lens - Ikelite glass macro port (basically new, been on less than 10 dives) - Ikelite port extension for 100mm macro lens ((basically new, been on less than 10 dives) - Ikelite strap wrench (to loosen/tighten port extensions) - Ikelite DS160 strobe + battery pack + diffuser - Ikelite DS160/161 extra battery pack - Ikelite extra strobe diffuser - 2x Ikelite smart chargers - 2x Ikelite complete arm sets + floats - 2x Ikelite dual sync cables (1 very new, 1 very very used) - 1x Ikelite single sync cable (very new) - 2x custom made strobe pouches - accessories/spare parts/maintenance/manuals kit (more o-rings and grease than you’ll know what to do with!) - Akona camera roll bag. Can be converted into a backpack. Customizable dividers. Here is a dropbox link containing photos of the gear: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fexuxlirqdosy59/AABNyWaO1Mkaw4_s6omSH1-Ea?dl=0 Here is my Instagram account with my underwater portfolio if you would like to see examples of the quality of imaging this rig is capable of: https://www.instagram.com/chrisalba_underwater_photogram/ Asking: 3,800 USD ONO for everything 2,600 USD ONO for the underwater equipment without the camera/lenses PM me if you want the camera body and/or lenses Reasonable offers will be considered. Buyer pays shipping and duties/customs.
  6. Re-posting as the pictures did not come though the first time.. I am selling my camera rig to upgrade to DSLR. This is a great mid level upgrade for someone currently using a underwater point and shoot or Go Pro. This set upallows for a large variety of shooting modes from fully automatic to fully manual and video mode. I AM SELLING THIS RIG AS ONE UNIT AND WILL NOT BREAK IT UP, PLEASE DO NOT ASK. The rig is priced to sell and unfortunately do not have the time to ship out multiple packages and chase payments. 7. Howdy from Texas yall. As you probably notice this is my 2nd post and that's a red flag on a forum classified, but I promise I'm a real dude with nothing but the best intentions. I've read the forum for years, just never been a big poster. If you need any assurance of any kind, please don't hesitate to reach out. Happy to give you my cell phone, my wife's, Mom, CPA, or whatever helps. I totally get it. I'd like to sell my entire underwater kit. I got a little in over my head when I got started and the way life/work have gone, underwater photography is unfortunately not a part of it. I'm a full time photographer doing ranch real estate and outdoor recreation photo/video. This underwater kit has been sitting dormant for 2-3 years after only 2 trips. Specifically I bought this for some smallmouth bass photography on the Devil's River in West Texas (super clear fresh water). After that it's stayed put in 2 pelican cases. Needs to find a better home. I'm at a loss to try and price this. I hope it doesn't offend anyone, but I'd like to just take offers until I can get more clued in. I'm not looking to get my money out of this. Let's just be reasonable and I'm ready to ship. I can take Paypal or whatever form of payment you prefer. Everything is in 9/10 condition with original boxes, manuals, o-rings etc. Everything has been well cared for and organized. 8. Hello Wetpixel folks, New member here, I'm sure glad I found these forums! I would have posted this question in the Dedicated U/W Digicams forum, but it looks like that one hasn’t seen much traffic for a while. Anyhoo, I’m heading to the Marietas Islands near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in mid-December for my first diving trip in 25 years. I was a very active diver and underwater photographer back in the 80’s and 90’s, and had a great Nikonos V setup with SB102 strobe and 15mm Wide Angle lens. I want to get a new camera system for this upcoming trip, and I’ve narrowed my options down to either a Sony a6300 in an Ikelite housing, OR the Sealife DC2000. With the DC2000 I can also afford to get the Wide Angle wet lens, macro wet lens, 2 Sea Dragon flashes on flex arms, and their 2300 lumen video light mounted on the cold shoe. For the Sony option, I already have the camera, 16-50 PZ lens, a Sony 10-18mm and Sony 30mm Macro. I could afford the housing and the ports for those lenses, but then only one of the Ikelite DS161 strobes (which I like since it can also serve as a video light). I’m hopelessly torn between these two options, and hope you guys and gals can help me out! I am VERY attracted to the Sealife DC2000 rig due to its relative ease of use, integration of parts, camera body itself being waterproof, and their wet lens options allowing great versatility on one dive. It also seems more compact and portable, easier to deal with on a rocking 20 foot, open Panga boat. It also saves me some money over the Ikelite option. The only thing holding me back is image quality. Try as I might, I have seen very few image examples from the DC2000 that impressed me. They all seem to be quite soft, or not as sharp as I would like to see. But that may be due to image re-sizing for the web, or folks not working from RAW files, or some other factor. See the images in this otherwise excellent review as an example: http://www.divephotoguide.com/underwater-photography-special-features/article/review-sealife-dc2000-underwater-camera/ I realize the DC2000 with its smaller sensor is not going to have the low light capabilities of the Sony, but I’ll be using strobes, so I don’t see that as an issue. So can anyone fill in the blanks here? How good is the DC2000 image quality? Are there any Smugmug or other galleries online with good examples from this camera where I can view the full size image? That would be extremely helpful. Also, if anyone has experience with the a6300 in an Ikelite housing please share your thoughts on that rig. Or if you can point me to some high-res examples that would be great too. I’m especially curious about how the 16-50 does in the Ikelite housing with the 6 inch Dome Port (5516.15). Can you do some semi-reasonable macro with that setup? I’d love to stick to a one-lens solution for the a6300. Also, can you get 2 dives out of a Sony battery with the 6300? Thanks very much for the help! Gordon Portland, Oregon

  12. Hey, I just thought i'd post a quick ad to see if there is any interest in either of my two systems. First and foremost, I have an Ikelite 5D Mark III housing that also has a DL 8inch Dome Port and Vacuum Pump with Gauge. This housing is unused but I did open the box. I wound up getting lucky and purchased a Leo II housing so I am sticking with that and trying to sell the Ikelite. I am more than happy to provide pictures, etc of the housing. I am asking $1900 for the system (paid $2200). Also, I have a heavily used Equinox housing with the standard port for a Canon T3i. I am also including the Canon T3i (with two batteries and the charger) without a lens. This system is not for a professional but rather for someone who is interested in getting into underwater photography and wants to learn. The system never flooded and is super easy to use. I am looking to sell it for $700 (housing + camera body). Again, if you are interested, please message me and i'll send you all the photos that you want! Thanks so much, Craig

  18. Selling my D300 and housing plus a lot of accessories as I switched to a mirrorless setup and have not been using this. The housing was sent to Ikelite for service and they actually replaced the main housing because of a small crack and the electronics, so everything related to the housing is new or like new. You will notice some tape around the circumference of the lens - this is to hold a piece of plastic the mates with the zoom gear for the housing and there is nothing functionally wrong with the lens. Included in this sale is the following: Nikon D300 camera (with original box, manuals, body cap, strap, cables) Sigma 10-20 DC HSM lens Ikelite housing for D300 Tray and handles for D300 housing Sync cord for single strobe zoom gear wide angle port 8" dome with neoprene cover battery charger Guide to the D300 by Thom Hogan 4 CF cards to 32 GB with waterproof case Asking $2350 for everything or would consider breaking up and selling individual items.

  21. Looking to upgrade my GoPro system and get an underwater housing and gear for my Sony A7Rii. MSRP for new gear is just way too pricey for me to justify to the wife 😋. Please let me know if you have some used gear laying around that you're willing to sell. Thx, Nick

  23. Hi All, As per my understanding, the Sony a6000 and a6300 cameras are very similar in size and design. Has anyone try to use Sony A6300 or A6500 in the Ikelite A6000 underwater housing? The faster AF system, metabones and 4k video are very appealing. Direct Quote from Ikelite: "Unfortunately, differences in lens placement prevent the cameras from being used interchangeably in the same housing" http://www.ikelite.com/housings/sony/6910.61-sony-a6000.html Alan
  24. I sold my housing today, but they didn't need the strobe so I've got one Ikelite DS-125 strobe for sale. Asking $350 and I'll cover shipping. Included is the strobe, battery, diffuser cover, wall charger, international plug adapters, and Ikelite TTL sync cord. Retail pricing for the strobe is $699, sync cord is selling for $99. Specifications from Ikelite: - 300 ft (60 m) depth rating - TTL plus 4 manual power settings - Built-in halogen focus light If you have any questions, please let me know. I only take 1-2 trips per year so the strobe is in great condition with little use. The last picture is only for viewing the TTL cord which I will include with the strobe. The housing is no longer available. Thank you.
  25. I have just switched camera bodies from the Nikon D700 to the Nikon D810 and will not be needing my old Ikelite 6812.7 housing any longer. Ikelite headquarters recently re-set the four port screws for me so it fits like a brand new glove now. Housing comes with 2 Standard Zoom Clamps + Sleeves in original boxes! This model is now discontinued at the company, so the only way to obtain one is by finding a nice used one such as this! This housing has been nothing less than amazing for the last three years I have owned it! I ship worldwide.
