I cam accross this article and was interested in the results the auther claims: http://www.uwphotographyguide.com/sigma-15mm-tokina-fisheye-review Showing that the Tokina 10-17mm is still a very versatile lens and still performs in FX. Would the Tokina 10-17mm @ 15mm provide a better image behind a mini dome/4 inch than a shaven Sigma 15mm FE? Or would a large dome give the best results for both lenses in FX? I would be interested if others out there have used the Tokina 10-17mm in Fx mode and what their impressions ans results have been like. Regards Mark

For sale is the 5508.05 port for the Nikon 105D Macro. This will not work with the VR (already tried:(). The front of the port has a some light scratches, but not anything that I would expect to show up in photos. If you receive the port and think that they are really unacceptable you can return it. But I would be very surprised. I am asking $120 shipped anywhere in the cont. US. Includes neoprene covers for both front and rear of port. Front cover has 'DCS' initials on it Thanks

Mint Condition, a Coveted Professional Wide-Angle Lens I bought this lens in late 2011, and just never got around to using it (hey, I am an underwater guy, and I don’t shoot that much topside!). It has sat on the counter in my humidity-controlled workshop for the past 14 months. I’ve used it for a grand total of two times for about 20 minutes to try it out. This lens is in excellent shape, showing no signs of wear, no scuff marks, scratches etc. Glass is perfect, focusing is perfect and firm, no dings or scratches. This sale will include the original front and rear lens caps, instruction booklet, and lens hood. Sorry but I can’t find the box. I see that the lens sells for $2000 on B&H. Asking $1799 for the lens and accessories. If you are interested, please contact Norbert Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain reasonable offers. I can accept credit cards, Paypal, money orders, and personal checks. Money orders and personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods. Thanks! Norbert Wu

I'm streamlining my kit, as a photographic exercise for myself to use only prime lenses for a while. So, my zooms must go! For sale is a Nikon 35-70mm f2.8 AF-D lens. For those not familiar with this lens, this "...was Nikon's flagship professional midrange zoom of the 1990s, and has pretty much the same optical performance as the newest 24-70mm f/2.8 AFS, with a lot less size, weight and cost" (Ken Rockwell). Here the full review of this lens: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/3570.htm I love this lens, and fully intend to replace it in the fullness of time! This one is in very good condition, with just a few conmetic scuffs, comensurate with age. The lens if fitted with a Nikon NC filter so the glass is scratch free and has just a tiny amount of dust, not affecting picture quality. The lens caps are both present. My connection is a little flakey at the moment, but I'll upload some images asap. £180 +P&P

Hi All, I've been having a frustrating time with a malfunctioning control on my Subal ND800 housing (shooting D800E). I've corresponded with both Subal and Backscatter and have tried to troubleshoot via email and phone, but haven't had any success in finding a solution, so I'm hoping that someone here might have run into this problem and found a solution already. One of the controls on my ND800 housing does not operate as intended, it's the "UP" button on the multi-selector on the back of the camera. When pressing the "UP" button instead of moving the AF point up, it moves diagonally upward and to the right, sometimes even in an arc with the last positions going downward and to the right. My best guess is that this is an issue having to do with too tight of tolerances and fit, since the problem only arises at depth, when there is a tiny amount of compression between the main housing and the backplate with the controls due to the main o-ring being squeezed. Here's a video with the camera in Live View mode so that you can see what I mean. Have a look at what happens to the AF point when the UP button is pushed. http://youtu.be/DKeVmzOWy8E I do notice that if I push on the button really gently it goes upward at first, and pushing harder (as in when you're just using it regularly) makes it float upward and to the right. However, I'm a little hesitant to start grinding down the pin on the other side of the button just yet, hoping that someone out there might have another fix or confirmed that this would do the trick. I know that what really needs to happen is this housing needs to be looked at by Backscatter in person with my camera body in hand. However, I'm on a 4 month trip in Southeast Asia and it's just not feasible to ship or fly everything to Monterey from here right now. Also, since the issue can't be reproduced on dry land I know it's not going to be a snap to get this sorted out even if/when I do get it back to Backscatter. I would be much, much happier to get it fixed here and so I can enjoy shooting this rig for the remainder of my trips. It's a very annoying problem to have as I use the multi-selector often as some of you might, and I've already missed quite a few shots as a direct result of this problem :'(. Any helpful advice or solution would be greatly appreciated! I have two D800E bodies and the problem is the same with both of them. Thanks a bunch, fingers crossed.

I have a nikon NAd700 housing for sale,in great condition, need to sell to upgrade. email me for pics and price. NOT LOOKING TO PART OUT, but will consider separate offers for macro port for 105mm. The housing comes with a 9 inch dome port from Zen underwater and an extension ring to house the 14-24mm from nikon. The housing and port combos are epic and work well with their specific lens and this housing has been great to me, hate to see it go but on to better and bigger things . ryan.waller.613@gmail.com will do international shipping but not paying for it.

Hi all, I'm planning to ask Nikon about the frustrating "slow to write" problem that occurs with the D800. This typically happens thus: When you take a shot, an hourglass (timer) appears on the LCD screen. The "card writing" light also lights up. It can take some time to clear. Taking another shot does not clear it, just extends the waiting time! I think this is common to most D800s, but it would be great if we can approach Nikon and say that many people are having the same problem. If you own or have used a D800 and either get the problem or don't, please add a post to this thread:) Many thanks Adam

Hey there, After all the readings, I was going to order my Nikon D7000 and the Ikelite housing for it. I currently own a DS160 and 161 strobe as I was going to upgrade from my canon G9.... I know that the OM-D is not a DSLR, but from the readings that I did, it looks like the OM-D is not a bad camera at all and very similar to the D7000. If I consider the setup price, they both are about the same for the camera, lenses and housing (Nauticam for OMD). If I'd go for the OMD, I would have sell my Ikelite strobes and buy 2 Z240, giving me a lighter setup. Just wondering what your thoughts the quality of the D7000 over the OMD. Cheers and thanks for all the great help. Ben
