  2. Hello, A project that I was working on for the past 3 years has come to close and I no longer need this backup housing. It is a Nauticam NA-D7100 and it fits both Nikon D7100 and D7200 bodies. It was in the water less than 5 times for some tests and is in absolute mint condition. Price is $2300 USD plus fees and shipping.Payment via cash or Paypal only please. I have some accessories that we could do as a package deal if you're in need, like a mint Nikon D7200 body, a vacuum system and possibly a Zen mini dome. Thanks for looking! Tony
  3. Has anyone tried the Nauticam Compact Macro Converter with a nikon 60mm micro lens on cropped sensor dslr? Says it works on the Nauticam site, but how well? What sort of working distance do you get? Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, I havent been able to find it..
  4. Almost a complete kit - just add arms and a lens Subal ND80 housing for Nikon D80 camera. Well cared-for but showing some signs of wear and tear - as expected for its age - but none affect functionality (e.g. some labels are peeling off). FP-FC B Subal Flat Port 2 Nikonos SB105 Strobes. These can be used in "manual" mode with a digital camera (i.e full, 1/4 or 1/16 power). 2 Nikonos sync cords Nikon D80 body with 2 genuine batteries. The eye piece and LCD screen protector are removed ready to use in the subal housing but all accessories will be provided, along with the box. Asking AUD $1,500 for the lot. Buyer pays postage.
  5. Hi guys, Looking for some advice on my pending upgrade... In a nut shell, do you think the extra money for the d500 is worth spending over the d7200? Or as I am moving from 4/3 set up anything else out there worth thinking about?

  7. Nikon and Canon lenses for sale: all come in the original box and have the original USA warranty card. The warranty may have expired but the card is proof that this is a USA lens, not an import -- and therefore Canon and Nikon will repair the lens if needed. All lenses are in excellent to mint condition. I rarely used any of these lenses; and when they were used, they were encased in an underwater housing -- a nearly perfect environment for cameras and lenses -- as long as the housing is never flooded! None of these lenses were flooded. For sale: Nikon AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm 1:4G ED VR lens: absolutely mint. Brand new. I took this lens out of the box and then never used it. It is perfect, and comes in the original box with warranty card and all accessories like hood and cloth case. $1050. For Canon: Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Fixed Lens for Canon SLR Cameras, like near-mint condition. $349 Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras: absolutely mint. Brand new. I took this lens out of the box, cut out the UPC code for a rebate, and then never used it. It is perfect, and comes in the original box with all accessories. $779. Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM SLR Lens for EOS Digital SLRs … in good condition. $399. There's a small hair or something inside the lens, on the outer edge, so it does not show up in photos. There's also a piece of dust inside the lens, which could be blown out. I don't believe that htis dust speck shows up in images either. Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens for Canon Cameras …in excellent condition. This lens focuses down to 1:3. It's a great medium wide-macro lens. $469. More notes on this lens below. If you are interested, please contact Norbert Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain reasonable offers. I can accept credit cards, Paypal, and personal checks. Personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods. I can even throw in a signed copy of one of my books, Under Antarctic Ice, at $20 (50% off) if you buy a lens. A book along with a lens will likely result in a bit of an increased shipping cost. Thanks! Norbert Wu More notes on the Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens for Canon Cameras: Here are comments from Ryan Canon, the underwater guru/expert at Reef Photo in Ft. Lauderdale, about this lens: The best mid-range zoom for Canon EF-S is Sigma 17-70. There have been three versions, original plane jane 17-70, then 17-70 HSM, and now the current 17-70 OS HSM. HSM is Sigma verbage for fast motor focus, like nikon af-s, or canon USM. The original was pretty slow to focus, so this is a welcome improvement. The HSM and stabilization features are nice, and worth while, but unfortunately reproduction ratio has decreased with every revision. Originally it was 1:2, then 1:2 point something or other on the HSM, and now 1:3 on the OS HSM model. A 7.8cm x 5.2cm frame is still pretty small for macro video, but you have to decide whether that is good enough for you or not. [Norb's note: this was perfect for shooting macro subjects for me, but obviously not things below 1:3]. We can set the lens up behind a flat port for use in the 35-70mm focal length, which probably makes sense for macro video. You can also use it behind a dome for the full zoom range which some people like with skittish stuff like reef sharks.

  23. Hi, I've been curious to know whether people enable/disable active d-lighting on their Nikon cameras when shooting underwater. What are the pro's and con's? I know the benefits of this on land, but does enabling this feature actually help underwater when shooting with strobes? I guess one downside to this is that Lightroom or Photoshop will not recognize the effects added onto your files via active d-lighting, whereas Nikon's proprietary software would recognize them? Any thoughts/feedback would be helpful. Thanks. Martin
