  1. Selling my Red Epic Dragon Nauticam and SPL kit in packages, it's all been looked after and wouldn't hesitate to take it on a paid shoot tomorrow. Used for a number of Shark Week programs and surf shoots, never missed a beat. Listed in the packages below, priced in AUD, can ship worldwide at cost. All prices include tax invoice. Photos below listing, or all photos are here - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hmd11z4li7sqlf6/AABGTb942Lm5mJGZr1r2QPeca?dl=0 mark@marktipple.com is me, can Facetime if interested. 1. Red Epic Dragon SN 00850, 775 hours, EF Mount : $5500 AUD Includes : 4 x 128GB RedMags, 5" Red Touch Monitor, 2 x monitor cables, Wooden Camera V-Lock plate, AC Power, RedMote (internal battery dead, works on usb power), RedMag card reader with dongles from FW800 to USBC, Low Light OLPF, Side Handle, Red Top Plate, SmallRig top handle 2. Nauticam DCES for Red Epic : $4400 AUD Includes : Vacuum Pump, Sleds, Tripod Plate, Front Cap, Pelican Case 1610 size. Fits with side handle attached providing full control of camera while inside housing. 5" touch screen in the rear, and I've used it with a SmallHD502 viewable through the top screen which is handy for low or waist high shots. I've read It can be configured for DSMC2 cameras but would need to check with Nauticam if still available. Focus and zoom rings on the same hand so can do both at the same time without switching to other knob like in other housings, I've used both types and both are fine - comes down to muscle memory. Dove to 30 meters in shark cages, nothing super deep, works fine. 3. Nauticam 85201 0.36x WACP kit : $6000 AUD Includes : WACP port, Nauticam 16330 Cinema System Gear Set for Canon EF-S 18-55mm, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f4-5.6 IS lens, Nauticam 21125 N120 Extension Ring 25 with Lock, Nauticam WACP Carry Case. Recently repaired by Nauticam (there's a previous post on WetPixel of the scratch I don't know how to delete), never used so optics are brand new. I widened the rear of the lens thinking it'd cover a larger 6K image circle without vignetting, which it doesn't (6K WS is fine), so cosmetically the lens looks odd but works fine. The lens is only $200 so no stress to replace if needs be. 4. Nauticam NA-502B-S Housing for SmallHD 502 Bright SDI kit : $3300 AUD Includes : Nauticam NA-502B-S Housing for SmallHD 502 Bright, SmallHD 502B Monitor + 2 x Canon LPE6 batteries, Canon LPE6 charger and cable, M16 SDI Bulkhead 25058, ball and clamp for mounting. Used on my DCES housing for the past few years down to 30 meters and all works fine, push button pressure release is much easier than the older screw style. Some paint missing on rear of housing from a velcro'd on white card, not an impact. Does not include a vacuum pump. M16 SDI bulkhead included to attach to housing. 5. SPL Surf Housing for Red Epic with ports and lenses Includes : SPL Surf Housing for Red Epic with side handle, EF 24-70 mki flat port with zoom and focus control, 100mm flat port with zoom and focus control (16-35, 10-22 etc), 85mm flat port with zoom and focus control (11-16, short primes etc), Canon EF 24-70mm mki (auto focus not working, manual focus works fine), Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, V-Lock plate, long Red 5" monitor cable, other zoom/focus rings & aks. Has some wear and tear but still water tight, scratch on the inside of the rear perspex, pressure dent on the rear control (looks bad but works fine). Functions are : Power on - off / rec start - stop (body button) rec start/stop handle button, aperture, thumb handle select wheel, right arrow, handle enter button, customisable rear button (I mapped to magnification). Functions are limited but more than what I used in the water, generally set within a few stops then swim out until RedMag media ran out. Canon 24-70 mki auto focus doesn't work, no auto focus control on DSMC1 anyway so was never a problem. I used a range of lenses in the 100mm and 85mm ports, Sigma Art Primes - 24 & 50, Canon 100mm f2, Helios 58, whatever fits and focus / zoom rings can be reached can be used. Canon 10-22's range is great for surf, generally shooting at f5.6 + for surf so the slowness didn't matter. 6. Nauticam Lenses and damaged 180mm glass dome port : $4000 AUD Includes : Nauticam Cinema System Gear Set for Tokina AT-X 11-20mm & Tokina EF-S 11-20mm f/2.8 lens : $1300, Nauticam Cinema System Gear Set for Sigma EF 18-35mm & Sigma EF-S 18-35mm f/1.8 lens : $1300, Nauticam N120 20mm extension ring with lock 21120 : $400, Nauticam N120 60mm extension ring with lock 21160 : $500, **Dinged Nauticam N120 180mm Optical Glass Wide Angle Port 18809 :$500 - **replacement glass dome port is $985 I used these two lenses and extension rings when not using the WACP, some shoots needed descending shots or just a backup. Dinged the 180mm on yet another shark cage hence its price ($500), marks can be edited out of photos in photoshop but will be visible in video, replacement port is $985 so will still be a $500 saving over buying new. Prefer to sell as a kit.
  2. The Small HD 502 is an excellent external viewfinder. Allows the underwater photographer to see a larger brighter clearer image. The many focus and exposure aids helps to get the picture right the first time. It is just what the doctor ordered for photographers with limited vision. It has a brilliant interface. All of it's functionality can be accessed from within the Nauticam Underwater housing. It is very light and small. It has a long battery life. It requires two common canon LP-E6 batteries. I have used this EVF and underwater housing for many years. I purchased both used from reef photo and video. They are perfectly functional (although a little dusty), have never been damaged or in need of repair. The Nauticam underwater housing does feature a vacuum value giving extra protection agains flooding. Top side, this package comes with the small HD sidefinder which allows a photographer to get critical focus with more precision. A Small HD cage and hood is included to protect the EVF from accidental damage. There are three underwater connecting cables along with a Nauticam HDMI bulkhead. INCLUDED: Small HD 502 External Viewfinder ($499) Nauticam NA 502 Housing ($799) Two LPE6 Batteries (Free) Small HD Sidefinder with Remote (Free) SmallRig Cage and Shade ($34) Nauticam Cables (for Camera Connectivity) ($149) Nauticam HDMI Bulkhead ($199) Nauticam Vacuum Valve ($100) (Pump is not available) Nauticam EVF Housing Shade ($49) TOTAL PACKAGE COST: $1829 DISCOUNTED PRICE: $1649 BUY NOW
  3. A good friend, airline Captain and motion creator put together a new system last year, pool tested, then contracted an aggressive medical issue and we lost him. His widow and family aren't uw motion creators so I'm helping her sell the system. I have the complete list of pieces with their new prices before price increases at the end of the 2021 year ($14,690). Would like to find someone to buy the system for about 70 percent of the pre-increase invoice prices. A serious potential buyer can contact me by eMail and I'll send the list of pieces and we can discuss the sale (chris@chriscrumley.com). A dated photo is included here. Summary of the system is: Nauticam housing w/vacuum sealing, GH5S w/14-42mm, Wet Lens, Nauticam external monitor housing w/SmallHD 502, Keldan 9k lumen lights (2) and all arms, floats, batteries, cables, clamps, gears, rolling case and pouches making a complete and operational system.
  4. Lightly used Nauticam NAC200 underwater housing for a Canon C200 cinema camera, bought for two shoots that were shut down due to Covid. Used under 20 times. Selling as this is surplus to current needs. Comes with SDI and HDMI bulkhead for external feed, vacuum pump, sleds, 180mm glass dome port, 20mm & 60mm extension rings. The lens is a Canon EF 18-55mm lens with both focus and zoom rings. Also has an additional ball mount and clamp for the external monitor housing and two ball mounts on the grips. External monitor is a SmallHD 502 Bright in a Nauticam housing, with short SDI cable to connect to the SDI bulkhead on the housing. Can be used with the SmallHD housing or without, with the C200’s built-in EVF for monitoring. Included is a 45 meter SDI surface cable for sending a video feed to the surface or beach, and additional SDI bulkhead for the SmallHD monitor housing. The housing features large control knobs for focus and zoom also marking disks for lens position or focus information. Also has the Nauticam Vacuum Check and Leak Detection electronics and vacuum valve for pressurising, reading through a large multi-color LED on the rear of the housing as to the watertightness of the system. Red means bad, Blue means good. One of the smallest dive housings to offer DCI 4k / 60p Raw footage, added to Canon colour science and autofocus can be used for both topside and underwater. The last shoot was topside with surfers, solid as a rock, highlight clip below. With the N120 port system almost any lens can be used inside, with the corresponding focus and zoom rings. PL lens systems can also be adapted. Housing is in Adelaide, South Australia post/zip code 5169, worldwide postage can be arranged. Asking AUD $17,000 for the full kit, or AUD $13,000 for the kit minus external monitor kit. Retail is approx AUD $23,500 for the full kit, and AUD $18,500 minus external monitor kit Email enquiries are best, mark@marktipple.com

  10. Purchased in July 2017, this housing has only been used once. The housing is in excellent condition, no marks or scratches – like new!! I bought it thinking I would use it for my underwater photography. Although it worked fine – it added extra weight and bulk to my DSLR setup. Since I don’t shoot video, it’s not worth the extra weight/space (to me). Paid $1600 USD, asking $1200 USD (plus postage). I am also selling the SmallHD monitor in another post. Included with the housing: · Nauticam HDMI bulkhead with M16 thread · Leak detection system · Vacuum pump · Ball mount · HDMI Cables · HDMI L adapter · Replacement o-rings · Nauticam carry case · Nauticam silicon I can send additional photos upon request.

  12. For sale: Nauticam NA-DP4 housing monitor and SmallHD 4.3" monitor This housing and monitor were built in 2012, and they have worked well with a Canon 7D, Nikon D800, and Nikon D7000. Both the housing and the monitor are in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect working condition. With the above (and likely newer Canon and Nikon bodies), this was and is a fabulous tool for any stills or video shooter, as the monitor/housing worked well and quickly (without a lot of steps required) with those cameras for both stills and video shooting. I used it often, and it became essential when I was shooting video. I stopped using it a lot about two years ago when I started using a Panasonic GH4 camera. I ended up using the GH4 body's LCD screen for most of my shooting, particularly wide shots for stills and video, and the LCD screen worked great. I used the monitor/housing for those occasions when I was shooting macro and needed to see the image over the camera body. It took a while to sync up (requires you to power the camera, monitor etc up in a particular sequence) but once it got going in video mode, it worked well. I would not use this monitor with the GH4 to shoot stills -- it is too slow to show an image preview and then go back to live view. It's a testament to the durability and design of the smallHD monitor and the Nauticam housing that it still works after three generations of digital camera technology. The smallHD housing comes with a battery plate that accepts two Canon type LP-E6 batteries. Complete with everything in the photos: SmallHD monitor, housing, moisture sensor, mounting ball, non-OEM charger and two batteries (Canon type LP-E6). HDMI bulkhead (Nauticam M14 Vacuum Valve, p/n# 25611) and internal HDMI cord also included. If we agree on a purchase, I'll look in my workshop and will include any other accessories that came with the SmallHD monitor -- but the above will be all you need to get underwater. Asking $875. Please confirm with an expert (I am not one) whether this system will work with your camera and housing. It's made for Nauticam housings and will install in one of their bulkhead holes (I think size M12). I am happy to send this out for evaluation after we discuss the situation via email, but any buyer wishing to return these items will have to pay the return shipping as well as the outbound shipping. If you are interested, please contact Norb Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain reasonable offers. I can accept credit cards, Paypal, and personal checks. Personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods. Thanks! Norbert Wu

  16. I'm thinking of either the SmallHD DP4 or the Atomos Ninja 2 in Nauticam housings for use, initially, with a Panasonic GH3 in Nauticam housing. I realise that the DP4 doesn't record anything and is just a monitor, but I don't see the recording of the Ninja 2 as particularly useful to me since it can't record 1080-60p, and the GH3 can't output more than 8-bit 4:2:0. But the price of the 2 solutions isn't enormously different (approx $2100 with sunshade vs $2500), so I could go for the Ninja 2 anyway and be more future-proofed for other cameras. Can anyone tell me how the 2 compare for monitoring features (judging focus & exposure) and ease of use. Also, how do they compare in size and weight. I can't find the figures online, but of course the NA-Ninja2 looks somewhat bigger. (edit: Just read Kien's reply to the 1st question on this blog post, but am interested in further views)
  17. I've got a gently-used Nauticam NA-DP4 housing and SmallHD DP4 monitor up for sale. This is a perfect combo for enhancing your DSLR video, giving you the flexibility of positioning your monitor on top of your housing facing any direction, and a large monitor to help you get proper exposure and focus every time. Compatible with most Nauticam housings: http://www.nauticam.com/product.asp?id=151 A review of the monitor/housing combo can be found here: http://wetpixel.com/articles/review-smallhd-monitor-in-nauticam-na-dp4-housing My pair have seen around 25 dives, and have been babied throughout. There are a few extremely minor, cosmetic paint dings, mainly on the back of the housing, and some paint wear around the neck of the ball-head where it mounts to my triple-clamp. Happy to provide detail photos of the wear for a serious buyer. The monitor itself has never been used outside of the housing, so it's in pristine condition. Comes with the following: Nauticam NA-DP4 housing Nauticam HDMI Bulkhead Caps for bulkhead and housing HDMI cord (when not attached) Leak detector battery (unused) Spare O-ring 3 different lengths of mini-HDMI to HDMI cables for use inside housing SmallHD monitor (with Canon LP-E6 backplate) Dry HDMI cable for use with DSLR on land Hotshoe ballhead mount for use with DSLR on land Screen protector (unused) Component out cables (unopened/unused) Well-used Small-HD monitor hood (I used this more than I used the monitor itself, so it's the one piece of this kit that actually shows a fair bit of wear) Sorry, no original boxes. Asking $1450 for the pair, but I'm open to reasonable offers. You pay 3% PayPal fees, I pay shipping.
  18. Like new condition, never used in sea water, tested in bath tub only. Suitable for nauticam housings with M16 Accessory port. For SmallHD DP4 with backplate for Nikon EN-EL15, parts also included to accommodate DP4 with blackplate for Canon LP-E6. Included : 1x NA-DP4 Housing (with waterproof protective cap for HDMI cable) 1x HDMI Bulkhead with M16 thread (with waterproof protective cap) 3x HDMI cables (lengths 190mm, 130mm and 110mm) 1x Silicone grease Please note that one small o-ring for the HDMI Bulkhead is missing but you can use the o-ring of the M16 accessory port of your own Nauticam camera housing, it does not affect its function. Asking Price: US$800 Shipping cost from Hong Kong to US is US$26.
