  1. Are there any strobes available that can be fired with the push of a button on the strobe itself?
  2. I'm looking to buy a used and working Sea & Sea YS-110a strobe, preferably before mid-September 2016. If you've got one lying around that you aren't using anymore, let me know along with your price expectations. All reasonable offers considered. Cheers, Ken

  4. I upgraded my camera gear and I have too much camera stuff around the house. Things can be sold separately, and buyer pays shipping. I live in Hawaii, so if you need it fast it will cost a little bit more. I have had this gear for a long time. I bought the housing used, and I have used it almost every day for the past two years. Some of the outside coating paint is chipped off but it does not effect the housing. Definitely a good camera housing for somebody looking to get into underwater photography as a hobby. The A20 housing is discontinued and the bulkheads for the strobes do not work and parts are unavailable . The ports (except 8 in) are all in good shape, just minor nicks on the outsides, glass is good. The 8 inch dome has some wear on its surface. I also have resealed it using 5200. The glass separated from the metal a year ago when I was hiking into a beach and early in the morning and when I hiked out it was 20 degrees hotter and the air inside had expanded and separated it. You can see the glue (white) in the picture. I still use it. I free dive down to 60+ feet with it and it holds up. Still good for over-unders, but it could use a good polishing. The strobes work great. One had a battery explode in it 3 years ago, but after cleaning it has not had any problems. For more pictures of certain items just let me know. Aquatica: - A20 housing comes with canon 20D body $BO - mini dome (18410) $600 - macro port for Canon 60mm (18429) $300 - back port cover (18790) $50 - port extension ring (18456) $200 - port extension ring (18457) $200 - zoom gear for tokina 10-17 $100 - 8in dome port with shade $150 Sea & Sea - 5-pin sync cords x3 $100 each - Pair of YS-90 Duo strobes $500

  6. Almost identical to a recent post, I am looking for a mirrorless camera and underwater setup. I primarily want to use it for shooting stills and macro on coral reefs, occasional wide angle wreck shots, reef scenes too; I also want to use the camera above water. The cameras I am most interested in are the: Olympus om-d e-m1 + Nauticam housing (nau-17806) + 60 mm macro lens and 12-40 pro lens (I am budget conscious though, so am open to using the Olympus housing instead) Olympus om-d e-m5 Mark ii I am also interested in the Sony alpha a7ii, A7s, etc, but I think they are out of my price range. Does anyone have a used mirrorless camera with lenses, an UW housing, ports etc. that they are looking to sell? Backscatter and Bluewater photo are offering a basic underwater setup with the E-M1 for $1699. Will need to build on this with strobes, lenses, etc, but figured I'd check with the WP community first before I pulled the trigger on one of these setups... http://www.bluewaterphotostore.com/olympus-omd-em1-bundle If not a full setup, I want to start piecing it together so I am interested in any mirrorless camera bodies, lenses, housings, etc. Thanks for all of your help!

  11. Hello, I'm not sure this is the right forum, but here goes anyways. I'm a (more or less) proud owner of an Olympus TG-4 point and shoot and their underwater case PT-056. Recently, I bought a tray and a UFL-3 external strobe. Question 1: I am unable to get the strobe to work in the case via optical cable. If I hold the cable on the camera's flash directly, the UFL-3 discharges, but not when shooting through the case. I bought a 3rd party cable, and suspect that this might be a reason. The vendor however says that case, camera, flash, and cable work fine together. The setup is basically exactly like this: https://www.olympus.de/s/uw_usage_guide/en/setup/PT-056.html tg-4 -> pt-056 -> pfca-02 cable adapter -> cable -> ufl-3 Does anyone have any ideas? I would hate to shell out 100+ € for a fiber-optic cable if that isn't the reason Question 2: I was planning on buying a second UFL-3. If I understand correctly, I would need to have an adapter to feed two cables into the camera? Alternatively, I could use the second flash as a wireless slave. Would a second flash be worth it, and could I set everything up via FC-cable? I'm not the most experienced diver yet, but can control myself well underwater. Still I would like to be able to use TTL etc. and keep everything simple for the start. Is it even worth getting a second strobe with that camera? (I would consider replacing it sometime in the medium future depending on how things work.... ). My main interest would be in the macro type world (shrimp, nudibranchs, that kind of thing... ) Thanks in advance! JJ

  14. Hi, I just got a Nikon d7100 with an Ikelite housing and a ds-160 strobe. So a newbie and might well be missing something obvious! I can't get the strobe to synch. In TTL, the strobe fires but not when the shutter is open so I get lots of dark pictures. In manual, every 5 strobe flashes and ~40-50 shots the two coincide and I get a lit picture. Is it the synch cord that is not working properly or do I need to set my camera to some special settings? Thanks! Giulia

  17. Hello! I am interested in doing some remote strobe work but I haven't been able to find a way to trigger my strobes remotely. I have read reviews on the Triggerfish and Seacam remote triggers, but they don't seem to be available for purchase. I use Sea&Sea YS-D1 or YS-D2 strobes. Ideally, I would like an optical trigger that will plug into the bulkhead using a sync cable. A fiber optic cable would work as well, but either solution would have to mate with my Sea&Sea strobes. I am not opposed to purchasing a dedicated strobe for this purpose, as I have heard that the INON Z240's have an optical sensor, but also that they might fire unexpectedly or not at all, depending on how light reaches the sensor. Is there a remote strobe solution out there? Does anyone have one they are no longer using for sale? Any other ideas? (BTW, I'm not interested in using continuous light, such as video lights unless it is my last and only hope.)
  18. Hi everyone! I'm in Cozumel, Mexico and having no luck setting up my RX100 IV (Fantasea housing) to get the strobes to fire. I've had no lighting for 4 dives now and would really appreciate any help anyone can offer. Tutorials, step by step instructions, anything appreciated! I have a Sony RX100 IV in a Fantasea housing and 2 YS-D2 strobes. Questions: 1) What flash setting should I use in the RX100 to get the strobes to fire? (auto, fill, front sync, rear sync?) 2) If I set the strobe to TTL, do I need to set the other dial to a setting? 3) Is there a trick to connecting the fiber optic cables? I'm wondering if I'm not connecting them correctly and that is why the strobes won't fire Thanks in advance for your help! Amy
  19. Hello, I would like to buy a Nauticam Offset Extension Valve #25059 so that I can install my vacuum valve and electrical bulkhead in a single M14 accessory hole. I would prefer to buy it without the vacuum valve (yellow part), since I already own one. Nauticam only sells the extension valve as set, so I would be willing to buy the entire set, if it is not possible to split or exchange with my valve. Cheers

  21. I have a great working cannon g9 with 2 housings included (cannon wp-dc21) This has been a great camera to learn on in both tropical as well as the PNW waters Reason I am selling is that I have starting shooting with a full frame Sony a7s and this is just not getting used. I also have an Ikelite camera tray and arm as well as a ys-27dx strobe with an optical cable attached I am looking to sell as well. Make a reasonable offer Josh
  22. I have a great condition lightly used ys-27DX I had on a Cannon G9 that is in great working order that I don't use any more as I am now shooting a full frame set up. If interested make me a fair offer. This is just sitting around so would rather see it go to some good use. I also still have the G-9 I would like to sell if some one is interested in a great little point and shoot and it will include 2 housings with the camera. Josh
  23. Nikon D60 body and Ikelite housing: $600 The D60 is a 10 megapixel camera body. The housing is the newer, 4 port lock style. I’ve used this to shoot magazine covers, win photo contests, and shoot advertising campaigns, not to mention plenty of nice wall art, as well. I’ve used the housing in ocean and cave photography, and it has performed flawlessly. It’s well used, but in perfect working condition. I’ll include a button rebuild kit as some of the buttons are getting sticky, and some extras. The D60 will include three batteries and two chargers, and I can throw in some 16gb memory cards. http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d60.htm http://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product-archive/dslr-cameras/d60.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikon_D60 Nikon 18-55mm lens: $50 This lens is ok for underwater use and compatible with a dome port below, used to take one photo of a bird at a bird feeder then put back in the box. Ikelite 5503 port: $125 http://www.ikelite.com/accessories/5503-dome-port.html This port works with the lenses below according to Ikelite. The plastic is in good shape, shows minimal signs of use. Ikelite 5503.50 port: $125 http://www.ikelite.com/accessories/5503.50-dome-port.html I have two of this port for sale, both in same condition. This port works with the lenses below according to Ikelite. The plastic is in good shape, shows minimal signs of use. Ikelite single sync cable: $70 I have two of these cables for sale. In great condition, includes the end protector. Ikelite dual sync cable: $90 In great condition, includes the end protector. Ikelite nimh and nicd smart charger: $50 I have two of these for sale. Both are in good condition and work fine. Ikelite 5510.11 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/660594-REG/Ikelite_5510_11_Superwide_Mounting_Body_f.html Literally never used Ikelite DS50: $200 I have two of these for sale. Both are in good condition. Either one or both of them were back at Ikelite 2 years ago due to a battery leak, and were repaired to be in perfect working condition. They have been upgraded to the newer clear battery doors. The flash diffusers are held on with small zip ties that are run through the casing around the front. This is just a snap on casing and there is no penetration of the waterproof housing. These have performed as slave strobes for me, which means they have been set in the sand, on rocks, etc, but they are in good working condition, with only minimal scratching or scuffing. Ikelite DS125: $350 In good working condition with nimh battery Camera is located in south Florida, more than happy to meet up locally and let you try it out. Can also deliver to north Florida, or ship anywhere in the US.
