  1. Merry Christmas! I am looking for a bit of advice, and perhaps some reassurance on my imminent setup choices. I am an avid snorkeler in the North of Scotland, in the water probably 300 days of the year. I also scuba dive here weekly. As I snorkel and freedive I have been enjoying using a small camera set up without strobes, olympus OMD EM5MKII in nauticam housing with an 8mm fisheye and mini dome. I really enjoy shooting split shots and like the versatility of the fisheye. I've wanted to start using strobes for my scuba and now have two inon z330s, but I enjoy using the camera without strobes down to 10m whilst snorkeling as it is less bulky. This is my first underwater camera setup, and when I have come to print images larger, they just aren't as sharp as I'd like. So my research has lead me to look at something with a larger sensor that would be far more light sensitive, whilst not being too bulky. I've settled on a Sony A7Riv with a sigma 15mm fisheye and 14mm dome port. Does this sound like the correct setup for how I dive or is there something out there that I am overlooking? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

  5. I’m planning to start shooting WA with my D800 (mounted in Nauticam Housing). After a thorough tough I’m planning to use a diagonal fisheye and in particular the Sigma 15mm f2.6. I was wondering if anyone has experience of using this lens with Nauticam 180mm Glass dome port on FX camera, I have gone thru the lens chart provided by Nauticam and this dome is not recommended for this lens while is for Standard wide angle lenses like te 16-35 f4, I wonder if this is due to vignetting or soft corners or other reasons. Further I was wondering if anyone has experience on shooting WA with Video lights as fill and smaller strobes Like the Inon S2000, my idea would be to use 2 video light of 10,000 Lumens each with a beam angle of 110° + 2 INON S2000. Any contribution/suggestion will be highly appreciated.
  6. This is a set for Nikon SEACAM housings, first hand, including : SIGMA 15mm f2.8 EX DG FISHEYE (Nikon mount), SEACAM for Sigma 15mm Fisheye special port. The lens and the port are like new. Important note : the top and bottom sun shades of the lens were very cleanly cut by SEACAM (this modification is included in the price of the port), thus the lens fit perfectly with its port for maximum image quality. The port is very small and very convenient for travel. Price paid : 1.769€ (1.104€ for the port and 665€ for the lens) Pricing : 1.200 € (+ express shipping depending on country, sent from France) Here is a recent photo taken with this setup and a Nikon D850 :

  10. Hello everybody, I would like to use a teleconverter (1.4 -1.7) with my sigma 15mm on a nikon d610. Anybody can suggest which one would work? thanks for your help. ciao, Flavio
  11. I've ordered a Seacam housing for my D800 which will arrive in a few days. Since I would like to do a lot of half-half shots I decided to get the Superdome together with the housing. I'm affraid that for snorkeling trips where I don't have the chance for great half-half shots the SD is just a bit too cumbersome. Therefore I plan to get a second smaller domeport especially for snorkeling trips. I would use this domeport mainly with my Sigma 15mm Fisheye lens and quite often without any flash. With Seacam I have the following options: 1. Wideport WP 2. Fisheyeport FP 3. Fisheye Makro Port Which port would you recommend and why? I would like to have sharp corners (at least stopped down at f/11) and be able to shoot close up portraits of small fish. Boris
