  10. Due to system upgrade I'm selling this brute!... You know the brand - built like a tank - vacuum system faultless - simplicity and quality over finnicky plastic controls! Heinrich Weinkamp TTL converter (never used) and 2 nikonos bulkheads. Ports and house shows marks of wear (from about 400 dives) but no visible scratches on acryllic (Macro port has only 20 dives since last polish - Wide angle about the same). Minor post-production modification to vacuum indicator - makes it MUCH easier to see diodes. No defects to electronics or hardware. Reach out for more detailed pictures. Complete package 950 EUR plus postage - Paypal accepted.
  11. Hello! Any advice on the camera settings, positioning, time of day, specific gear/setup etc., to get the perfect sun burst? I managed to get a couple, but I will admit it was a function of good luck...

  13. I know that there seems to be trend towards using dome diffusers. I don't know whether this just because the new z330s seem to come with them. The question is really whether there is much of a gain over a standard diffuser. Clearly we would all love beautiful even light across the lens coverage but do the domes really add much in that regard? Interested in thoughts.

  15. Hi all, I've had my Nikon D7000 Seacam rig since 2013 haven't reviewed for a new setup for a few years, I mostly dive in Scotland from the Club Rhib / shore diving. Upgraded from optical flash cables (Constantly having to replace) to S6 Connectors, Purchased the Seacam 45 degree viewfinder to help get the camera under the subject. (Water Clarity and Backscatter are key factors) Currently use the: Tokina 10-17 Fisheye with a Wide Port with anti-reflective coating (140mm Diameter) - 25mm Extension ring - if I open up to 10mm I can see the Sun shades in the final image. For Macro - 60mm Nikon F2.8 ED standard flat port. - super sharp and some times use for fish behind the Dome Port. 2 * Z240 MK4 Strobes - S6 connections & Greenforce Hepastar for lighting I have Sigma sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 HSM for Land and Nikon 20mm F2.8, Nikon F1.8 35mm DX (Just bought) - which have been used occasionally underwater. I'm interested in Wide angle shots of Wrecks, Walls, Geological Features and getting better pictures of skittish fish - Cod, Ling etc. at depth 25 -35 metres ( I have been diving on a AP Rebreather for the last two years) getting auto focus and lighting right is an issue. After upgrading from the Olympus C5050 to the D7000 have benefited from the increased dynamic range and also improved autofocus for Macro. At the moment looking at my photographs, the low light noise on the sensor vs the loss in quality of the images on the edges (Dome Port Optics) is about the right balance. Thinking about what tweaks I can make - obviously big jumps are the Nikon D500 or Nikon FX which require a large investment for 5% - 10% improvement in quality? Other lenses that I've seen talked about are the Nikon 8-15mm Fisheye, Sigma 17-70 Macro, Nikon 105 or 85mm DX Macro Lenses? Seacam do other Dome Ports - Fisheye Port 160mm, Compact Port 170mm or Superdome 240mm Would be good to get feedback from other Nikon and Nikon Seacam Photographers on what combinations has worked well for them. Thanks Paul
  16. for sale inon UWL-100 wide angle lens type 2 with dome, used with some mark on the body, the optic glass is perfect 350€
  17. Hi all, i have some gear for sale. Sony rx 100 ii, Recsea polycarbonate housing - cws rx100 ii, UWL-100 wide angle wet lens and a variety of chargers and accessories. I am selling as i have finally upgraded to a basic dslr set up. This system has served me very well and ive managed some results that im very proud of. I used it with a pair of sea and sea strobes, the wide angle wet lens and macro diopters and have found it to quite an effective system for both macro critters and wide angle subjects. I will post links to some of my imagesin the comments and you can judge for yourselves. Obviously this is now quite an old camera and wont be suitable for those who need cutting edge tech but for me the image quality is fine. Prices will reflect the age of the model of camera (i think sony are up to mark 6 now?!). If anyone is interested to buy they will need to find a tray and strobes and arms etc as i need to hang on to mine for my new system. All the gear is in good condition. The housing has been regularly greased in the buttons, comes with two o rings, no scratches or serious damage, clear glass. Shows signs of wear of course. It has a 67mm thread to recieve wet lenses and a removeable port for fiber optic cables which i will include with the housing. Has been discontinued now but cost me USD $500 originally will accept £250 ono https://www.backscatter.com/Recsea-CWS-RX100II-Sony-RX100-MarkII-Underwater-Housing The UWL - H100 is as good as new, no scratches or water marks. comes for front and rear element protective caps. cheapest i can find in UK is £360. Asking £250 as it is in great condition. https://www.bristolcameras.co.uk/p-inon-uwl-h100-type-2-m67-wide-angle-conversion-lens.htm The RX 100 ii camera has one issue, the automatic pop up flash is no longer functional as a 'pop up' flash. still works fine to trigger strobes etc. Its not a great design unfortunately. Otherwise the camera is fine. Will include all chargers and 2 batteries (and a third if i can find it...) As it has this fault i can accept £100 (is around £300 for a new one here) https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sony-cybershot-dsc-rx100-m2 I Would prefer to sell all together if possible. £550 with all the accesories. I really hope this camera gets used again. I dont want it gathering dust in the back of my cupboard...

  21. It is a few years that am shooting with warming diffusers on my Inon, having moved to sea and sea that do not have such a thing I had to find alternative solutions As I was at it I started experimenting with other techniques including cooling diffusers to get better colour and then finally combining with magic filters for still images I wrote the whole blurb here if anyone wants to look into the details...https://interceptor121.com/2019/09/29/creative-strobe-filters-for-wide-angle/ Having said that are there any other strobe diffusers other than blue filter for fluoro dives?
  22. I’m planning to start shooting WA with my D800 (mounted in Nauticam Housing). After a thorough tough I’m planning to use a diagonal fisheye and in particular the Sigma 15mm f2.6. I was wondering if anyone has experience of using this lens with Nauticam 180mm Glass dome port on FX camera, I have gone thru the lens chart provided by Nauticam and this dome is not recommended for this lens while is for Standard wide angle lenses like te 16-35 f4, I wonder if this is due to vignetting or soft corners or other reasons. Further I was wondering if anyone has experience on shooting WA with Video lights as fill and smaller strobes Like the Inon S2000, my idea would be to use 2 video light of 10,000 Lumens each with a beam angle of 110° + 2 INON S2000. Any contribution/suggestion will be highly appreciated.
  23. For sale- all items are: “As-In/Used” condition. I purchased this camera and housing used on these classifieds about three years ago and it has been a great starter DSLR for me to learn shooting in manual on. I have just upgraded to a larger/newer system and need to make some space by selling this. I have added on some additional lenses from when I purchased it, to suit my needs. I also have the telephoto zoom lens that was great for topside photography that I will include for an additional $125 if interested. The original owner added a moisture detection system for the housing that works well. The moisture detection system is at the bottom of the housing and will have a red light flash at the top of the housing if there is any leak. I did have to send the Ikelite housing off for repair one time, as there was a small leak where the ports were attached. It was a simple and inexpensive fix. Ikelite service is awesome. I never had another issue after that time and have dove with this system many times. I have the original boxes for the camera and for the lenses. I have some extra O-rings for the ports and the main housing that I’ll include as well. I have the manual for the housing, but not the original packaging. For now, I am selling it all as one package, not individual pieces. Shipping within the US only. I will pay shipping and will accept only Paypal as payment for the package. Photos are in the listing to show the camera, the lenses, the two ports, the dual arm tray, and the housing. Components: Canon Eos Rebel 100D/SLR DSLR Camera body ($259 used), battery charger and 3 working batteries. Ikelite Housing ($1,199 new) Dual Quick Release Arm Tray ($130 new) Ikelite Flat Port ($250 new) Ikelite Dome Port ($350 new) Canon EFS 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM wide angle lens ($250 new) Canon EFS 60mm f/2.8Macro USM lens ($399 new) Canon EFS 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM lens ($85 new) ***Canon EF 75-300mm f4-5.6 III telephoto lens (for topside photography)*** selling in addition to the listed package. ($199 new) Total value of the package if new $2,922 Will sell entire package for $1,200 (shipping included- US ONLY), or $1,325 with the additional telephoto lens. Please let me know if you have any questions about the gear.
  24. This is a photo taken with my Nikon D700 with a sigma 15mm fisheye lens, Dual YS-D2 strobes, F6.3 at ISO 200, Shutter at 1/60. Let me know what you guys think of this. I was close to my subject (less than 1 foot away) and my strobes were already pointed outward and were about ~15 inches away from my DP-230 Zen dome but I can still see some backscatter. How would you reduce backscatter in this case? I also notice some glare on the sides of the picture implying that my strobe beams hit the sides of my dome. Any advise from you guys would be extremely helpful. thanks!
