  1. Hello! I am selling an Aquatica housing for Canon 5D Mark II that has accompanied me for a couple of years. It is an extremely robust and reliable piece of kit, which has never flooded nor given me any trouble. I need to sell it because (against my will...!) I am moving to Sony. I have added a couple of pictures I took with it so you can get an idea of the potential. The pack includes: -Aquatica housing: It is used but in good working condition. The housing has acoustic and visual water sensor, an hydrophone cable and the flash cable. Very practical -8'' dome: has one very tiny scratch that should be easy to remove, and that is invisible on the pictures anyway. Include a shade and a neoprene cover. -Flash cables: 2x short nikonos cables (5pin) + 2x10m nikonos cables (5pin), ideal for landscape or studio pictures -Canon 5D Mark II body: little cosmetic imperfections, but in excellent condition. Never fell on the floor -Canon 20mm/F2.8: excellent optic for landscape photography. It has a couple of cosmetic imperfections that were there when I bought it, but it works perfectly. -Accessories: 2xBattery + Battery charger + 2 x16G memory card + Camera strap Do not hesitate to send me a PM if you have any questions. Have a nice day!
  2. Hey Wetpixelers! Does anyone have a Subal type 4 EXR20 lurking around that they no longer need and would like to sell? If so, I'm interested...... Thanks!
  3. I am seeking a used Nauticam 20 mm Extension Ring (Model No. 21120) in good condition. If you have one you're willing to part with, please contact me at aaron@finksphotos.com. Thanks ASF
  4. Need help please! I am about to start with underwater photography, looking to buy the Nauticam housing for the D750 and learning all that I can before I buy anything and get into the water with it. Given the big investment, I am aiming to soften the blow by using my existing Nikkor 20mm 2.8D to start with and eventually upgrade to a Sigma 15mm (I am also leaving macro port on hold for a bit). I know the Sigma 15mm will work with an 8.5" dome, but since the Nikkor 20mm isn't one of the officially supported lenses by Nauticam housings, I haven't found any information of the 20mm working with this same port. I wanted to hear from people that have tested it out and to hear what they thought about it, if the images coming out are decent enough and know if a diopter is needed (if so, which one). Any help and feedback will be greatly appreciated. So far dealers are sharing their "gut feelings" and it isn't overly convincing. Thanks!!
  5. Does anybody know any substantial differences between the 6" and 8"? I'm deciding which to get. The lens I have - Nikon 20mm f/1.8 - fits both. I'm thinking the only differences would be half in / half out shots and buoyancy. Anybody have any experience using either or both? Thanks, Thomas
  6. I taught my annual Digital Master class in Key Largo last week, and having six days of local diving provided a bit of time to test new gear. One item of significance was the new Sigma 20mm F-1.4 prime wide angle. I shot it on a Canon 5Ds, SEACAM housing, Superdome, and 57.5mm port extension. This is the same one I use for my 16-35mm lens. I did not obsess over what port extension would put me in exact nodal point of the lens. Rather, this is simply plug and play with gear I had easily at hand. Here are the results: Sigma 20mm lens on Canon 5D3 for scale Normal perspective of 20mm lens underwater, chosen to illustrate primary subject on same plane of focus as background Test of near focus, with seafan lower left actually touching the Superdome and zone of AF on this portion of seafan screenshot at 100%, corner detail lower right screenshot at 100%, corner detail lower left screenshot at 100%, detail close focus on seafan lower left In that this lens is Sigma, it can work either Nikon or Canon. I find great potential here and bring it to your collective attention due to collective angst over poor corner resolution in many wide angle optics used UW.
