  8. Greetings! Thinking I was moving to SE Asia and would have ample opportunity to dive and get involved with UW photo I went for it and bought the best equipment. Turns out that move was canceled and I have BRAND NEW and NEVER DOVE Aquatica housing and accessories for a Canon 5D Mark III. Unfortunately, I am unable to return it to the business that sold it me. So here is your opportunity to get a great deal on some brand new gear! I have in boxes and unused the following Aquatica gear as seen in the picture of my receipt: -Canon 5D Mark III housing with dual blk head moisture alarm - Maintenance O ring kit -8" Dome with cover -8" Dome shade (wide angle) -Extension Ring for Canon EF 17-40 F4USM -Canon EF 17-40mm F4USM Type II -Port locking collar Price: $3500 + Shipping You save: $1,100.90
  9. I have been diving with an Aquatica AD7000 housing (Nikon D700) for a couple of years now. Rinsed it after every dive. Worked the buttons, as well. I experinced some minor leaks recently and went about replacing o-rings. This is not hard to do, just tedious. All of the exterior knobs are alimunimun and have stainless steel set screws. These loosen easily, except for two of the knobs, (Exposure Compensation/Reset button and the subcommand dial knob) which have set screws that are definitly frozen and bonded. I am perplexed. The sacrificial anode is doing its job. I didn't see any crud built up on these knobs. All the other knobs and set screws are fine. The other set screws may have had some sort of compound on them. Perhaps these lacked the compound. I use Tef-gel on nautical metalic connections that might seize. But I never thought to loosen the screws on this housing periodically. This seems like a weakness in design when plastic knobs would suffice. Any experience getting these undone? I've tried soaking in solvent, then vinegar and critic acid. --Stan
  10. I am selling my slightly used Aquatica T2i / 550D Housing. It was purchased new in October 2010 and has been used on less than 40 dives. Some minor surface scratches, but otherwise in great working condition. It's never been flooded and haven't had any issues with it. Comes with operating manual, spare main O-ring, 1 Nikonos Bulkhead, 1 Fiber Optic Bulkhead and a Xit 404 Aquatica body cap. I'm asking $1350 (Shipping from California included). New would be $2100. Information on the Aquatica T2i Housing - Aquatica Digital - Featuring an extensive line of underwater housings for Nikon and Canon digital cameras - Depth rating: 300 feet / 90 meters - Precision machined from a single aluminum block. - Light weight housing fully anodized to military specs & coated with robust wear resistant coating. - Excellent UW balance - Size: L 13" (with grip attached) x W 5.25" x H 6.125" - Weight: 5.3 Lbs. - Accurately balanced ergonomic design. All controls are within easy reach.
  11. Nikon D200 digital camera with three 4gb cards, 2 batteries, charger, body armor, remote, and neck strap -$400 Aquatica D200 underwater housing with 8" dome port, and extension ring, and spare o-rings, includes instruction manual - $1000 Tokina fisheye 10-17mm lens-$500 Tamron 18-200mm lens -$150 Sigma 70-300mm lens-$100 Nikon 18-55 lens-$50 Or $1800 for all of them...brand new these all cost over $6000 All items in good working condition except for the nikon 18-55 lens which for some reason only zooms from 25-50 or so, but still takes great photos. I had the housing serviced by Backscatter a couple of years ago for preventative maintenance(all internal 0-rings replaced) and only have about 4 dives on it since...one being a couple weeks ago. I have taken great care of it, but there is some slight paint bubbling on a couple spots which is strictly cosmetic. This package takes great photos!
  12. Hi there, I'm selling a few things and will ship to Canada & USA, buyer pays shiping and Paypal fees. Aquatica 5D Mark II Housing: $2,450.00 I'm selling my Aquatica 5D Mark II housing because I have now a 5D Mark III body which doesn't fit. This has the dual-Nikonos bulk head, and the standard viewfinder. I have the extra O-ring and CR2032 battery. It's got very little use, I would estimate this at perhaps < 25 hrs total, some of which was not even salt water. I didn't take photos since, well, it's pretty much unused, but can take some if you need. I'm not selling other accessories because, well... I will be buying the new housing in the near future. 5D Mark II Body: $1450.00 SOLD I do have a 5D Mark II for sale as well. It has 54k actuations (manufacturer's lifespan is 150k), used primarily in a product photography studio. Asking price is $1450. There are chances this is going to go fast locally (in Montreal, Canada). It has some minor signs of use, but all cosmetic like most used items. Canon 17-40L f4: $600.00 Great wide angle zoom lens – In good condition. A very versatile lens that is great on full-frame cameras.
