  1. I am trying to replace my TG6 + PT-059 with a compact setup I can use on quick trips in lieu of my long trip Nauticam / Nikon SLR setup. My TG6 is fantastic, but fails miserably in flourescence photography due to its lack of manual controls. From reviews, it seems like the Sony Ax100 vii or the Panasonic lx100 ii might suffice, but it is hard to tell since the reviews I have found don't really focus on manual mode and are geared more for ease of use shooters. It is also difficult to look at these because housing choices for these compacts are more limited (mostly just Nauticam), and I cannot get a feel for the size of these housings or information on the camera functions accessible via the housing. Any advice appreciated. I would prefer to keep this backup / quick travel system inexpensive, but the priority here is something I can throw into a carry-on with my two strobes, fluorescence filters, batteries, and a couple of days worth of clothes, my BC, mask and regs, and still be within the carry on size limit! So choice of the housing is very important also. It might be the case that some of the smaller mirrorless cameras that have some compact housing choices might work better than the lx100 or ax100, but I just don't have a good u/w shop near me to explore and look and see sizewise, so hoping the community can help out with some good options.I know the Nauticam Oly M1/M5/M10 housings are all too big so it has to be smaller than those (which i already have). My Olympus TG6, PT-059 housing, flextray, and strobes all fit in my bag with a little room to spare so I could go a little larger, but not the full mirrorless NA-EM1 size which is too large. Any advice on camera and/or housing for this purpose much appreciated. Must have: - Full manual control over shutter and aperture accessible from the housing via dials (not a complex embedded menu structure) - Excellent low light ISO sensitivity - lower the better - RAW files Like to have: - Manual exposure control via buttons or dial accessible from housing - Manual flash control - Fastest possible flash sync -
  2. I've removed the deeper scratch from my Recsea flat port using P400, P600 and P1200 sandpaper (following a YouTube video) and the surface 'looks' and feels glossy after polishing with Brasso, but I cannot for the life of me remove the large 'mass' of small hazing scratches that now cover most of the small flat port resulting from sandpapering out the scratches, rendering it unusable in this state. Any suggestions please? Has anyone had success fixing Recsea (or other compact) flat ports with micro mesh and Novus, or anything else? I'm wondering whether there's a different technique / tools required for compact flat ports, or whether Recsea ports can't be de-scratched? Is this port now cactus, or can it somehow be saved? Grateful for all advice asap - thank you.

  6. Selling a barely used (bought spring 2017) Olympus TG-4 Tough. Bought mainly for underwater video and super-macro. Only reason for selling is to offset a future DSLR purchase . Has some micro-scratches on the rear LCD (that do not inhibit proper functioning), but otherwise it's flawless. Camera has some impressive technologies packed into a small size. Incredible macro functions include both macro, super-macro, and automated focus stacking. Several underwater modes specific to what you're shooting (underwater landscapes, action, macro). 1080p/30 fps HD video. 16MP sensor for highly detailed images. Perhaps best of all, camera shoots in RAW (and JPG, too). This would make a great purchase for a winter tropical getaway if you have one. It's the perfect camera for snorkeling! Pair it with Olympus' fisheye converter and you'll have a great little compact U/W package. Price includes shipping, original battery, and battery charger. I believe I still have the original box as well. I'm also throwing in a handy floating wrist strap. Selling for US$320 includes shipping (or CAD$410 including shipping). For shipping outside Canada or the United States, please contact me for a shipping estimate. PayPal preferred or e-transfer if Canadian. Item located in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
  7. Due to upgrade I am selling my housing for Canon G16, everything works properly, no leaking, standard usage signs. It has roughly 25 dives.
  8. After spending 3 years in diving in Fiji it is time to move back home and be a land crab. I will not be diving often enough to justify keeping this nice setup any longer. 11. I am selling my used Olympus TG-2 waterproof camera and waterproof housing (Olympus PT-053). The camera is waterproof to 12m (40ft) by itself and the housing is rated to 45m (150ft). This is a fantastic little waterproof camera! I have tried many and this is the only model worth purchasing. I am only selling it because I just upgraded to the Olympus TG-4. I mostly used the camera and housing while SCUBA diving but I have also used it without the housing while snorkeling or taking pictures of friends surfing. The housing is pretty slim but it is nice to have the option to use the rugged camera at the surface on its own. I have entered photos taken with this camera in underwater photography contests and many have won prizes. My dive buddy has a much, much fancier camera and this powerful little camera does very well in comparison. Here is a link to Amazon for more info about the camera: https://www.amazon.com/Olympus-Stylus-Digital-Camera-Optical/dp/B00AQ2BWP4 Here is a link for more info about the housing: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/860061-REG/Olympus_V6300550U000_PT_053_Underwater_Housing_for.html The back LCD of the camera has some small scratches that are shown in one of the pictures. This has absolutely no effect on images or camera use. The rest of the camera (including the lens) is in perfect condition. The housing has some very light scuff marks from use but the lens is scratch-free. I have never had an issue with the housing leaking. Please ask if you have any additional questions. $400 includes camera, 1 battery, 1 USB charging/image transfer cable, USB wall plug, waterproof housing, 1 strobe adapter for the housing, 2 wrist straps (1 is attached to the housing, 1 can be attached to the camera), original boxes and instruction books
  12. http://www.bluewaterphotostore.com/bluewater-wa110-wide-angle-lens Pristine condition - used on one or two trips, open to offers. I've since upgraded to full DSLR setup so it's unlikely I'll ever use this again (it's already sat for about 2 years). Used on a S95 in a Canon housing, so if you shoot something similar I have other extras to sell too. 14. Compact wide-angle underwater underwater photography package: Olympus OM-D EM-5 16MP digital mirrorless micro 4/3 camera; Panasonic Lumix 8mm fisheye lens; Nauticam underwater housing; Nauticam 4.33 inch acrylic dome port; tray with two handles; two mounting balls; hand strap; LED hotshoe flash trigger; all original boxes and documentation for all items, including charger and accessory flash for camera, all front & back caps, manuals, etc.; housing is fitted with a bulkhead that allows remote triggering of the camera for polecam use (trigger not included) – if desired this can be replaced with a traditional bulkhead fitting for electronic strobe triggering, however current setup allows strobe triggering via either on-camera flash, or via hotshoe LED trigger. All equipment is in near pristine condition, very lightly used. This was my backup kit for travel – very easy to pack, and also served as a small, lightweight polecam, and as a “digital Nikonos” that I could hang around my neck and easily carry on long swims. I’ve been very happy with this, and am only selling it to upgrade to a new mirrorless with higher resolution. I only used this with the fisheye lens and matching port, and do not have any other lenses or ports for sale, but there is a wide selection available from other sources. $1995 for entire package. Gear is located in Kona, Hawaii, USA. Shipping is additional.
  15. These are few underwater shots which i took using my always reliable Powershot s110 in nauticam housing.... sorry for the qualilty ( it is really small files).. your critics are much sought after...
  16. Morning All, After a lot of reading on forum, researching on prices and generally delaying spending money I seem to have narrowed down my choice to two lenses: Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 Sigma 15mm F2.8 EX DG Diagonal Fisheye I am leaning towards the Sigma as it is a prime and i gain a couple of f stops, I have a 50mm prime I use on land and I like how crisp the images are compared to 'normal' zoom. For reference I am currently using a Canon EOS (mirrorless) with a 22mm lens in a housing, but will be taking my DSLR underwater once I can save the funds for strobes then a housing. Cheers Andrew
  17. I'm selling my compact underwater camera. I upgraded to an SLR awhile ago but kept this around as a travel rig/back up. It a great little set up. What attracted me to the DX-2G initially are the on camera controls. This compact has full manual controls for aperture and shutter speed via dials, similar to a DSLR. It has made learning curve to a DSLR much easier. If you want to start learning Underwater Photography without the high cost of entry for a DSLR, this is for you. The kit cost over $1,000 new. I'm selling it now for $400. Includes 1 Sea & Sea DX 2G Camera (12.1 megapixel compact camera with a 24mm-72mm zoom lens. F2.5-4.4) 1 Sea & Sea DX 2G Housing Spare O-ring Spare O-ring grease 1 Spare battery 2 battery chargers (US prong) 1 EVF (Electronic Viewfinder for land use) 1 Ricoh HA - 2 Adapter 1 Ricoh 1.88x TC - 1 telephoto converter (for land use) All instructions and manuals I also have the arm tray available for sale for an additional $50. Its the Inon Double Compact handle and the mounts are pre fixed for the Sea & Sea Housing. see photos attached. thanks
  18. Hello Wetpixel Hivemind! I'm hoping for some feedback on the more affordable series of housings to be used with one of the high end compacts like the Sony RX-100 (any one of the 3 models) or Canon G7X. I know that the Nauticam and Recsea aluminum housings are the stars, and that's all I hear from people in retail. But I know the less expensive housings see plenty of use and popularity, so can any of you chime in and let me know your experiences and thoughts on it? Any comments on reliability (most importantly, will it stay dry??), functionality of buttons etc, ergonomics, size (I've decided to go with a compact mostly for size and flexibility), and accessory lens options would be greatly appreciated. I would also be happy for any thoughts on Meikon and manufacturer housings (Canon etc). My understanding is that these housings are just not up to snuff for an avid diver and intermediate photographer (not all functions are available, plastic warps shallower than rated for, etc). And just for context, I dive a lot in cold water, I've been photographing for several years and have loved macro in the past, but never had the opportunity to do wide angle, and I am very excited to finally be able to try it. Thanks so much for any input! Cheers Emma
  19. Hi, I’m selling my RX100M2 setup, with everything needed for all kinds of underwater photography from macro to wide-angle. The entire package was purchased brand new from Bluewater in January 2014, and has been used on 3 trips, for a total of no more than 18 days of diving. Everything is still under warranty, and is in like-new condition. The only sign of wear is minimal lightening of the dark coat along the edges of the ultralight arms. Included are the following: - Recsea RX100 II underwater housing - YS-D1 Strobe Package - UWL-04 Fisheye Lens - Bluewater Macro Lens - all necessary adapters - Extra 8" Arm & Clamp The package above retails for $2,644 (see http://www.bluewaterphotostore.com/recsea-rx100II-ultimate-package). In addition to the package, the following are included as well: - Sony RX100 M2 camera (retail price $700) - Quick adapt system, to allow for on-the-fly changing of wet lenses underwater, so one can go from shooting a tiny nudibranch to filling the frame with a 2,000 pound manta on the very same dive (retail price $160) - Red filter for shallow water natural-light shooting (retail price $59) - External battery charger and 2 extra batteries, more than enough for a full day and night of shooting without recharging (retail price about $120) - 64 Gb type 10 memory card (retail price about $35) The RX100 M2 has been rightly hailed as a major breakthrough in the compact camera arena both above and below water, largely due to its huge sensor packed into a tiny point-and-shoot body. Here are some useful reviews: http://www.uwphotographyguide.com/sony-rx100-review http://www.backscatter.com/learn/article/article.php?ID=57#RX100 http://www.backscatter.com/learn/article/article.php?ID=57#PSindepth This entire setup retails for about $3,718. Considering the barely used condition, asking $3,100. I would like to sell as a package. I accept payment by PayPal only. Inquiries from serious potential buyers only, please. Pics of the rig below, if interested sample pics taken with this setup are available on request.
  20. Up for sale is a barely used complete compact camera package from Sea and Sea. 22. Hello Wetpixel, I'm hearing more and more DSLR shooters that are getting an EVIL camera for underwater use, and I'm myself considering it now. I currently own a fully equipped Hugyfor gear for my Nikon D7000, and I'm very happy with the quality and ergonomy. Still, I like to dive as light as possible in any occasion, but I'm also getting several occasions to go abroad for short business trips, in places with good diving potential. I'd love to dive in those places and bring back some pictures, but I really can't affort to carry my 1620 Pelican case with all the DSLR gear... Like most DSLR shooters (I presume), I'm concerned about the loss in image quality (although I believe some Sony NEX cameras are at par with my D7000), and by slower autofocus, but I've never tried any of these EVIL cameras underwater. I say Alex Mustard's article which raised my interest on the Olympus OM-D, but what about the NEX family, the tiny Pentax, etc? So for those of you who investigated the matter in more detail, which EVIL camera do you think is best for underwater photography, and why?
  23. I am wanting to get a setup I can take on every dive with very little hastle. DSlr is fine and all for when I want to take photos, but i find myself wanting to go diving more and more without a big rig and still be able to shoot. I also want to get into video a bit more. So is my best option a compact that shoots HD video and get a video led light? the Go Pros look great and all .. but I think I would like a bit more control and to see what I am shooting etc. Compacts have come a long way since I last owned one .. i see a lot of people talking about the Sony RX100, What else should I look at .. any experiences anyone ?
  24. I'm selling three Inon items 1) The fantastic Inon UFL 165 AD Fisheye lens. This takes great photos, focuses close and offers great depth of field. $250 (retails for $500) For more info see: http://www.inon.jp/p...l165ad/top.html 2) The equally good Inon 100 UWL type 1 (67mm screw type mount). I am also providing a conversion kit to turn it into a type 2 lens, if needed. $250 (retails for $400). For more info on this lens see: http://www.inon.jp/p...hromat/top.html 3) Inon Fish eye dome. This is an attachment to the 100 UWL to increase the angle of coverage to 150.8 degrees underwater vs the 100 UWL alone (100 degrees). $250 (retailed for over $400). For more info on this Dome, see: http://www.inon.jp/p...uwl100/top.html I will reduce the price of the 100 UWL & Dome to $400 (or $200 each) if bought together. I will also included a homemade buoyancy collar, to help balance the two lenses underwater. All items are in excellent condition and have been extremely well taken care of. Buyer pays shipping.
