  1. I just purchased this Sigma 15mm F2.8 DG Fisheye on my last trip (Oct) to Komodo. I purchased it in Indonesia as I had accidentally forgot the same fisheye lens at home! I used it just for the trip and now have it for sale since I already have one. All the wide angle were taken with this lens on the trip. https://www.davidkleinfelt.com/Underwater/Komodo-2019 Asking $500 OBO
  2. I'm thinking of buying the fisheye converter. I'm already using the 28mm with the Ikelite 8in dome port but I'm seeing the converter has a built in petal hood. Is this weird inside the dome port that already has a hood or does it not affect it at all? Has anyone used this setup and had good results? Thanks!

  4. Hi, I'm using the Sony A7R II in Nauticam housing, with the Sony FE 28mm f2 and Nauticam WWL-1 as my setup for wide angle. Lighting is Sea&Sea YS-D1 x2 + iTorch 2800 focus light. I am interested in a wider option, up to and including fisheye. The intended application is upcoming wide angle workshops in the Red Sea and Cayman. I looked at the fisheye converter for the 28mm lens and corresponding ports and domes. My concern is being stuck with only one photography "look" (fisheye) and one focal length for an entire trip, as I cannot imagine traveling with both setups. I am considering the Sony FE 16-35mm GMaster with Nauticam 180mm glass dome or Canon 8-15mm via Metabones adapter as possible alternatives. Could I get some advice on these choices? If anybody has hands-on expereince with any of these setups, that would be especially useful. Some specific questions: 1. Is the concern about the fisheye converter justified? Or would that option still give enough flexibility for general use? 2. Would the 16-35 option be a significant improvement over my current setup? I cannot find info on the expected field of view of this setup anywhere. 3. How close to a native lens is the performance of the Canon 8-15 via adapter on this camera underwater? I don't consider myself a very skilled photographer, and even a modest drop in autofocus performance would very likely cripple me. Thank you very much!
  5. I am selling my Tokina 10-17mm fisheye lens with Canon mount The lens has had the hood removed in order to gain more useable focal length range when used with a full frame sensor camera, essentially giving you an extra 1mm without vignetting. Can be used on crop sensor or full frame Canon camera's. This lens is well used and shows signs of cosmetic wear and tear but functions perfectly. There is a very small mark on the front glass element but doesn't show in pictures. I'm looking for £170 + postage
  6. Selling my Sigma 15 mm fisheye lens in like new condition with vey little use. The lens has minimum signs of use and has no scratches or dings. This is a very sharp copy. Asking $400 USD plus shipping.
  7. This is a set for Nikon SEACAM housings, first hand, including : SIGMA 15mm f2.8 EX DG FISHEYE (Nikon mount), SEACAM for Sigma 15mm Fisheye special port. The lens and the port are like new. Important note : the top and bottom sun shades of the lens were very cleanly cut by SEACAM (this modification is included in the price of the port), thus the lens fit perfectly with its port for maximum image quality. The port is very small and very convenient for travel. Price paid : 1.769€ (1.104€ for the port and 665€ for the lens) Pricing : 1.200 € (+ express shipping depending on country, sent from France) Here is a recent photo taken with this setup and a Nikon D850 :
  8. Thanks to @Architeuthis I was able to build and test my fisheye zoom rig in the pool on Thursday and it performs amazingly well With a focal length of 8 - 15 mm fisheye this is going to be my primary rig, details of the build and parts needed listed on the blog https://interceptor121.com/2019/11/30/canon-8-15-mm-fisheye-on-the-panasonic-gh5-pool-tests/ Can't upload pictures due to 1 MB limit sorry
  9. Hey all. Recently I moved onto Nikon D850 from D700. I used to carry with me Sigma 15mm for CFWA and Nikon 16mm for everything else. Now I got Nikon 8-15 mm fisheye with the idea to get the latest and greatest, but also to replace these two since it also focuses very close. What is the verdict from people who moved on to Nikon 8-15 fisheye? Is it a viable replacement for both Sigma 15mm for CFWA and Nikon 16mm and no need to stick with old lenses? Thanks, Marko

  13. Hi, all. I bought this beautiful glass dome and lens combo new in June last year to shoot on a new Sea & Sea MDX-80D housing. A couple of months ago an old friend decided to quit u/w photography and gave me his fisheye lens and another glass port, and I don't need to own two sets of fisheye lenses, zoom gears, and ports. The Optical Dome Port II sells for $1030 at Backscatter, and the Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 fisheye for Canon sells for $469. The zoom gear costs $220. There's no point in separating them, so I'll sell them as a set only. I'm asking $860 plus insured shipping. That's half the retail cost, so please don't bother trying to haggle on this one. Below are links to a few of my shots taken with this dome and lens. https://www.flickr.com/photos/firststage/43257166981/in/photolist-28UuhFP https://www.flickr.com/photos/firststage/29387465798/in/photolist-LLSrJN https://www.flickr.com/photos/firststage/29387476868/in/photolist-LLSv2E Thanks for looking. Please let me know if you have any questions.
  14. This is a photo taken with my Nikon D700 with a sigma 15mm fisheye lens, Dual YS-D2 strobes, F6.3 at ISO 200, Shutter at 1/60. Let me know what you guys think of this. I was close to my subject (less than 1 foot away) and my strobes were already pointed outward and were about ~15 inches away from my DP-230 Zen dome but I can still see some backscatter. How would you reduce backscatter in this case? I also notice some glare on the sides of the picture implying that my strobe beams hit the sides of my dome. Any advise from you guys would be extremely helpful. thanks!

  19. Friends I have the Nauticam LX100, and am about to upgrade to the LX100 II (which thankfully can fit into the existing housing, with a slight modification). I previously tried the Nauticam WWL-1, but oh my God that thing was a monster. It was so big and heavy and I found it completely unwieldy in the water So I reconsidering my decision -- should I try with a different wide angle wet lens? If so, which one?
