  7. Greetings! I have just recently upgraded and am selling my mirrorless underwater system! I have really enjoyed it and it took a lot of personal deliberation before deciding to finally let it go and fully commit to my new set up. The sony a6500 is a great underwater camera for photographers getting serious! For Sale: Sony a6500 camera: $900 or nearest offer, 16-50mm lens included. $800 body only. Sony 16-50mm lens: $150 Fantasea FA6500 Housing: $650 with port and zoom gear. $500 housing body only. Fantasia FML Flat Port 34 with zoom gear: $200 Fantasea - AOI UWL-09F Wide Angle Wet Lens: $400 See below for details and photos of each item! Please send direct message with any questions. The items are located in the USA. I do not favor shipping internationally since it is more costly to you (I would add shipping cost to the price), takes longer, and seems to be more risky. But if you are really interested we can discuss it over private message. Sony a6500 mirrorless cropped sensor camera body AND Sony 16-50 mm kit lens: ($900 o.b.o.) Good condition, gently used with signs of normal wear. Just over 11,200 shutter actuations, but this camera is one of the best in it's class, with the mechanical shutter rated up to 200,000 actuations. The sensor is perfect, and the back display screen is in great condition. All buttons and functions working perfect and properly. I have a battery charger and 5 batteries for it included. I also have the original box and operations manual for the new owner. The Sony E-mount 16-50mm lens is included and is in perfect condition. Glass is flawless and autofocus works perfect. I used this lens underwater with nice results! It is a very good versatile lens and I have also used macro wet diopters and a wet wide angle dome with it with happy results I also have two polarizer filters, a couple ND filters, and a few macro diopters for the 16-50mm lens included, as well as a Sony camera bag, neoprene camera case, I am selling the sony camera body and lens together, but send me a message if you are interested in either piece separate. Please ask if you want to see more photos. Asking $900 for the camera and lens. The items are located in the US and I prefer to ship within the continental USA, but please contact me for international shipping rates and I can do some research. Fantasea FA6500 Housing AND FML Flat Port 34 with zoom gear ($650 o.b.o) The housing has been set for the a6500, but can be converted to be used with the a6300. I will include the tools and guide that came with the housing. The housing is in great, almost-new condition, but with some scratches on one of the fiber optic connection holes. The fiber optics still fit fine and it is only cosmetic and does not affect functionality. Other than that, it is flawless and has never been flooded. I will include original o-rings and also Fantasea replacement o-rings. (Original Retail Price $750). Also included is the Fantasea FML Flat Port 34 with zoom gear to fit the Sony 16-50mm lens. The port lens is in good condition with no scratches or blemishes and the zoom gear is perfect. (original price $400). I also have a cheap tray that served me quite well for a couple of years that I will throw in to whoever buys the housing! (see photo) Fantasea - AOI UWL-09F Wide Angle Wet Lens with protective case and adapter. ($400 o.b.o.) A wonderful wet wide angle lens, fits a 67mm housing port thread. 130 degree field of view. The original price is $700 for a new one, this one is used and has some minor scuffs and one small scratch on the dome. This has not interfered with photos as far as I have noticed! I will try to upload some sample photos that I took with it recently. I used this wet lens with the Sony a6500 and kit 16-50mm lens with very satisfying results! Please direct message me with any questions!

  10. Hi all, I am brand new here and recently found this forum searching for information on dome/flat port theory for underwater applications. For my application I am trying to achieve a "one-focus-fits-all" solution - this is both for domes and flat ports. I have to manually adjust focus on land and once submerged in water it cannot be adjusted. The lenses I will be using are fixed focal lengths, most like from 3-8 mm used on small industrial cameras. What I have found out till now is first to adjust the focus to the hyperfocal distance. This distance can be calculated as: H = f^2/N*c+f, where f = focal length N = is f-number (f/D for aperture diameter D) - use D c is circle of confusion for finding the circle of confusion the following can be used: c = D/1500, where D is sensor diameter and d/1500 is used - I read somewhere that d/1500 is commonly used. Now H gives me the hyperfocal distance. Adjusting to this distance should give me an acceptable sharpness from H/2 to infinity - correct? Next up we need to translate this to our underwater ports to achieve the same functionality. It is here I find the difficulties being introduced. Flat ports create a virtual image approximately at the refraction ratio of water and air - correct? This yields 3/4 given that the refraction index of air is 1 and water is 1.333. Would this be as simple as then focusing the lens at 3/4 of hyperfocal distance for a flat dome? Dome ports I find to be more difficult. I have read that as a rule of thumb the infinity distance can be found as: Virtual Image Infinity = (4 * Dome Radius) - (4 * Dome Thickness) However, how does this translate to a hyperfocal distance? I hope that some of you in here can help me clarify this. It would be very useful to have a standard sheet of which one could plug in camera and lens parameters, and then achieve at what distance in air it should be focused to achieve infinity focus using both flat and dome ports. Best, Jesper

  12. I am selling a CMT WATER HOUSING which fits a Canon 5d mkII (probably many other Canon bodies also) with a 16-35mm canon zoom. Great housing I only used it a few times. Never leaked. Flat port has a couple barely visible scratches that do not affect image quality. CMT makes the best housings around and are used by the top surf photographers including Clark Little. I originally paid $1700 for this housing. I'm asking $950 for it. Email if interested. brian@birdvisual.com Brian http://www.cmtwaterhousings.com More pics
  13. Almost a complete kit - just add arms and a lens Subal ND80 housing for Nikon D80 camera. These can be used in "manual" mode with a digital camera (i.e full, 1/4 or 1/16 power). 2 Nikonos sync cords Nikon D80 body with 2 genuine batteries. 16. I am selling this Sea and Sea NX Standard Flat Port 56101 w/ Nauticam and Sea & Sea bayonet mounts for $199. I used this flat port with Sea & Sea housings and Nauticam housings. It works fine and the front element (I think it's acrylic, but websites say that this is glass) is in mint condition, with no scratches. I did remove the thick rubber front insulation from the front of the port. It caused fogging when I used my housings in cold water. You can glue the thing back on if you want, but my recommendation would be to leave it off. The port presently has a bayonet mount to fit Nauticam housings. The original mount to fit Sea & Sea housings is included, so you can use this port on Nauticam or Sea & Sea housings. If you buy this port, I can switch the mount to either Sea & Sea or Nauticam, or you can do it yourself. This port is for Sea & Sea users who want to use this on Sea and Sea housings with the lenses below. If you are a Nauticam user, it is a port that you can experiment with, to use with various macro lenses by itself and with extension rings. The port retails for $290 and the Nauticam bayonet mount retails for $30. The Sea & Sea NX Standard Flat Port can be used with the Nikon Ai AF Micro-Nikkor 60mm F2.8D, Nikon Ai AF Micro-Nikkor 105mm F2.8D, Nikon AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor ED 105mm F2.8G (IF), Cannon EF50mm F2.5 Compact Macro, and Sigma AF 90mm Macro C F2.8EN Lenses. The Port is made from ABS resin and tempered glass, measures (Dia. x D) 5.3" x 3.9" (132mm x 98mm), weighs approximately 21oz (600g) and is depth rated to 330' (100 meters). The distance between the mount and the inner glass surface is 3.3" (84mm). Some of the above lenses may require a port extension to use with this port. I will send this via USPS Priority Mail at buyer's expense (likely about $6.55). Please contact Norb Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls.

It is currently posted on EBay: Ikelite Flat Port Assembly for DSLR Housings 5510 35 | eBay I used it with an extension with both my 60mm and 100mm macro lenses. From Ikelite (www.ikelite.com): The Modular Glass Flat Front features a durable, optical grade glass front element. Lens Extensions are available in a variety of lengths to accommodate most popular portrait and macro lenses. The Modular Glass Flat Front does not attach directly to a housing. Please PM me with questions - Listed for 175 with free shipping on EBay - I will accept reasonable offers here and pull it from EBay. Jay
  21. Hi All, I've just acquired a bargain priced second hand ikelite flat port (5502.41) to fit my 60 mm nikkor macro lens. I had previously been using the flat port designed for the 105 mm lens as it came with my kit, but it didn't allow me to get as close as I'd like. However, the new (second hand) flat port has some small scratches on the front. They probably won't affect image quality, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to swap over the front section of ikelite flat ports? It seems like they are designed to screw off, and have some kind of black sealing tape underneath, but I don't want to damage anything or end up with a leaky port. I'd like to swap the pristine front section off my 105 mm port to the other port. Has anyone attempted such a procedure? Cheers Nick

  23. I am selling here my Sea &Sea MDX Pro D3 which is usable for a Nikon D3 as well as for a Nikon D3x. The complete housing was overhauled/maintananced/pressure tested by mike-dive (www.mike-dive.de), who is well known for modifications, repairings and special ideas. He put in a iTTL-Converter so that two strobes can be used together. A manual switch allows you do disable the TTL-Converter by hand outside the housing with a knob. Perfect who likes TTL for Macro. Please see pictures below. For this nice feature we decided to change the S/C/M knob into the TTL-converter knob at the same place. 24. The housing and port are both in fantastic condition. No scratches or problems of any kind. This would be a great way to get into UW SLR photography on a budget (if that is possible). D80 cameras can be found readily on Ebay. I have one myself but am not planning on selling it at this time. I purchased all of this new and have personally dove with it for each of the 26 dives or so that they have been on. That is all the use these have had. Stored in a padded backpack when not in use. I included the picture of the full system so you can see the tray handle that will come with the housing. I accept paypal only please. These prices are the price of it shipped within the US.
