Take a look at the list and hit me up with an offer if any of it tickles your fancy. I prefer to sell to folks in Europe, but will entertain offers from all over the world! 3. I am strongly considering getting the Sony a6400 with Nauticam housing as my first semi-pro underwater rig and have been looking at the e mount lens selection for Sony mirrorless cameras. I would like to eventually shoot dedicated macro and wide angle lenses but have to start somewhere and would like advice on a mid range zoom lens that will be versatile underwater as well as above. Preferably the lens should be compatible with wet wide angle and macro converters so that I have that flexibility as well should I choose to go that route before I get the 90mm macro lens and Tokina 10-17mm fisheye for wide angle. I was looking at the 16-50mm and 18-135mm kit lenses. Does anyone have experience with these or have a recommendation on an alternative lens? I do not mind paying a bit more for a high quality lens, and as mentioned this lens will be used above and underwater so I am looking for a compact, high quality mid range zoom.

  8. Selling my 2.5-year old Canon G7X Nauticam housing with camera, lenses and accessories. (The reason I am selling is that I've upgraded to a Canon 1DX Mark II). You'll just love the fantastic pictures you can get with the camera! And you'll really love the vacuum system which (should) prevent any housing flooding. The wide angle and macro lenses give you a wide range of choices, and the short port allows you to change lenses underwater, giving you lots of flexibility even after you've started your dive. This equipment cost me around $3,500 and I'm asking $1,500 for everything (plus $75 to defray shipping costs; if shipping is less, I'll refund the difference; if more, I'll eat the difference. Shipping to addresses in the USA only). As expected, there are a few cosmetic blemishes and very minor wear and tear. Everything works great. Importantly, all glass and acrylic is scratch free. 9. I have here a complete, ready to dive package of an ikelite housing with a canon T5i rebel and multiple lenses and ports. This setup has served me well over the years, and I have travelled far and wide with it, but it is time to upgrade to a camera and housing that can get me below 200'. 10. Hello fellow photographers and divers! I have some doubts that are killing me internally and keep me from sleep 😂. I have thought of buying a Sony Alpha a7 mark 1, and keep it as my dive camera. Since its not too expensive, its compact, and it does a great job. I am also considering getting the A7 s, which will potentially improve the results and the price difference is not too much. It would be worth it. My reason to go for a Sony Alpha as my dive camera is because their underwater housing are extremely cheap (the Meikon ones) and ive read great reviews about those housings. Also because they are overall quite good and it would work great as a backup, light camera to use aside of my massive 6D + 70-200mm setup. I am planning to just go for the 28-70 kit lens, since its also cheap and it does deliver as expected. Price range is 170-250 euros as used... I am planning to get the camera and lens as second hand. My only issue with this setup is that the Meikon housing for the mark 1, does not have a dome port. And it is something I would quite love to have. The housing designed for the mark 2 however, does support a dome port. So in theory, In order to have a dome port, I would need to start looking at the mark 2 series... For the price of a Sony Alpha a7 II, I could get the A7S (mk 1) and the a7s would be a lot better for what I need... (4k, and low light monster). Now if I have to get the A7S II, then the price would already drastically increase and its out of my budget. So its not worth it just for the dome port. I would love to know your suggestions. If I my setup is not worth it, if there is a better option for me... If the dome port is at all THAT necessary... If you could point out any flaws in this setup im thinking of... things I would eventually regret, I would be FOREVER thankful!! Should I still go for this setup with the A7 and sacrifice the dome port, in order to save as much money as I can? Of course im not expecting professional level pictures, but also not GoPro level pictures.. I want something that looks somewhat decent. I was not planning to exceed a budget of 1000 euros... (A7 + LENS + Housing would be a total of ca. 800-1000 (tops) euros, if I decide for the A7S instead, it would be a total of ca. 1250)

  20. I have the following Nikon lenses for sale: Nikon ED AF-S Nikkor 500mm 1:4 D : $3900 Nikon TC-14E teleconverter : $199 Nikon 105mm f2.8 micro AF VR lens : $745 Nikon 18-200mm VR DX lens : $399 Nikon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 VR lens : $449 All lenses are in near-mint condition (as a longtime professional underwater photographer, I buy a lot of gear and sometimes never use it. These lenses are examples of gear that was rarely or never used). The only lens that saw a lot of use is the 18-200mm lens, and it still works perfectly and is in near-mint cosmetic condition. All the lenses come in the original box (except for the 500mm lens and teleconverter) with all accessories and the Nikon US warranty card. The 500mm lens is one of those giant lenses for birds and wildlife. It's in great shape. It comes with a Lowepro Super Trekker backpack, hood, and soft cover. I bought it after a trip to Kenya, and sure enough, never went to Africa to photograph big game again (until last month). It's one of those huge lenses (eight pounds) that attracts tons of admirers, but sadly never the Swedish bikini model types. The 105mm macro lens is a great deal. I bought it and never used it, ever. It just sat in a drawer. I have an older non-VR model and just liked that model for its smaller size. I rarely used that older lens either, but I am keeping it. The TC-14E teleconverter is a perfect match for the 500mm f4 lens. Here's what Nikon says: The only differences between the original TC20E (and TC14E) and the newer "II" models are cosmetic changes so that the teleconverters match the finish and style of the newer "II" models of some lenses. If you are interested, please contact Norb Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain reasonable offers. I can accept credit cards, Paypal, and personal checks. Personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods. Thanks! Norbert Wu
  21. I have the following Panasonic and Olympus gear (for the Panasonic GH4 camera and other Micro-4/3 cameras) for sale: All items are in like new condition. I used these in an underwater housing for two trips. As most uw photographers know, cameras and lenses sealed in a housing are used in about as perfect an environment as possible. There's no dust, for instance; and dive crews usually days handle the gear very carefully. As long as the housing has never been flooded, the gear should be in excellent shape -- far better than used cameras and lenses used topside. All the below items are in like-new cosmetic and perfect working condition. Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-50mm F3.5-6.3 EZ Lens (Black) Nauticam Macro Port and Zoom Gear Set For the above lens see extensive notes below. The port also fits the Olympus MSC ED M. 60mm f/2.8 macro Lens. The lens retails for $499. I am selling it for $439. The zoom gear and port retails for $800. I am selling the gear and port for $599. Olympus MSC ED M. 60mm f/2.8 macro Lens: brand new in box. Never used. Selling for $399. Olympus M.ZUIKO 40-150mm f/2.8 Interchangeable PRO Lens for Olympus/Panasonic Micro 4/3: brand new in box. Never used. Selling for $1299. Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH4 BODY DSLM Mirrorless 4K Cinematic Camera Body Only (Black): like-new cosmetic and perfect working condition. Used as a backup camera. Retails for $1298 on Amazon, selling for $1099. If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods. Thanks! Norbert Wu **** About the Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-50mm F3.5-6.3 EZ Lens, gear, and port combination: I used the above lens, gear, and port on a Panasonic GH4 system. The lens should fit on any Micro 4/3 camera. I hope to sell the lens, gear, and port together, because putting the gear on the port, while guided well with the instructions, was quite a process. This lens and gear/port combination is perfect for someone with a GH-4 camera, who wants to shoot both wide and macro on the same dive. It has a 24mm angle of view (equivalent to a 35mm full frame lens) and focuses down to . With the Nauticam zoom gear, you have power zoom capability. I loved using this lens. It is truly a "one lens does it all" as I was able to use it to shoot wide scenes and macro during the same dive, without having to change lenses. Macro specifications for the lens: Min focus 0.20 m (7.87″) Max magnification 0.36× (focuses close enough so a postage stamp fills the frame -- just tested it, see the sample image). from the web: True macro would be 1:1 meaning a one inch object would be one inch on the sensor/film. So this lens would have a one inch object being .36 inches on the sensor. Which is quite good given the sensor size...In this case, a rectangle from the business card about 2 inches wide would fill the width of the final photo. A true macro lens should have a magnification of about 1, and for a general purpose lens, 0.36 is very very good. It means that a postage stamp will be blown up to fill your monitor screen.... From the web: This special gear and port solution allows the physical macro switch on the 12-50 lens to be operated, and enables the lens' entire zoom range. This solution provides both more magnification and the full range of focal lengths from 12-50mm, which is not possible in competing housings. This port has 77mm threads; 67mm mount wet lenses can not be directly attached. Use the Nauticam 67mm Flip Diopter Holder for 77mm Ports.
  22. New blog article: Correcting Lens Distortion in Underwater Photos Fisheye lenses are generally the preferred wide angle lens underwater due to their close focusing ability, sharp corners and wide field of view. Divers can get very close to their subjects, filling the frame, and eliminating water which makes their photos lack sharpness, color and definition. But there is a drawback to fisheye lenses; when shooting the straight lines, commonly of a pier or wreck, models or other similar subjects - optical distortion is introduced. It's easy to correct in Lightroom with most lenses, and micro four-thirds lenses have some base correction built in, but it's usually not enough. For them a quick trip to Photoshop does the trick. This new blog article shows you how to correct these problems in Lightroom and or Photoshop.

Norbert Wu More notes on the Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens for Canon Cameras: Here are comments from Ryan Canon, the underwater guru/expert at Reef Photo in Ft. Lauderdale, about this lens: The best mid-range zoom for Canon EF-S is Sigma 17-70. There have been three versions, original plane jane 17-70, then 17-70 HSM, and now the current 17-70 OS HSM. HSM is Sigma verbage for fast motor focus, like nikon af-s, or canon USM. The original was pretty slow to focus, so this is a welcome improvement. The HSM and stabilization features are nice, and worth while, but unfortunately reproduction ratio has decreased with every revision. Originally it was 1:2, then 1:2 point something or other on the HSM, and now 1:3 on the OS HSM model. A 7.8cm x 5.2cm frame is still pretty small for macro video, but you have to decide whether that is good enough for you or not. [Norb's note: this was perfect for shooting macro subjects for me, but obviously not things below 1:3]. We can set the lens up behind a flat port for use in the 35-70mm focal length, which probably makes sense for macro video. You can also use it behind a dome for the full zoom range which some people like with skittish stuff like reef sharks.

  25. Hey there! Well that pretty much sums it up. I shoot the Olympus E-M1 in the Nauticam NA-EM1 housing and I'm trying to decide between these two wide angle options. I've always wanted a fisheye as I've usually shot the 9-18 mm Olympus up till now, but now I wonder if that new f/1.8 fisheye won't be too wide? I just don't have the experience using it but thinking back on my prior photography, I'm thinking wouldn't the 7-14 be a better all around option? My next trip will be a Bimini great hammerhead outing in January and I'm hoping to take one (though I certainly don't want to spend on both!) along with me. Clearly the dome port options will vary greatly (and be incompatible) between the fisheye and the rectilinear 7-14, but I'll likely stick with the glass Zen or Nauticam ones. More specifically, if I go with the fisheye, there seem to be both a smaller mini (Zen DP-100-N85) and larger dome port option (Zen DP-170-N85)....I wonder how they compare optically as I'm sure the smaller (? mini) dome would be perhaps more travel friendly. Any advice from folks shooting these 2 lenses would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much. Bogdan
