  6. I have a Canon 5D Mark IV with a Sea and Sea MDX 5D housing, Sea and Sea TTL optic converter & 2 YS-D2 strobes. I've been having intermittent problems with exposures in TTL mode for all ranges-macro as well as wide angle. I have all the modes set correctly Blue, blue, blue, but sometimes the left strobe not synching fully or at least exposures are under, or sometimes it looks like they didn't fire at all.... Through process of elimination, I've replaced the converter, swapped cables, even replaced the strobe. If I switch to manual Green, green, green, everything looks much better exposure wise and consistency. I don't mind this but I'm surprised that the TTL isn't working better. I don't think it would be my camera, but anyone with similar gear that could give insight would be greatly appreciated.

  8. Zen DP-230 Optical Glass Dome Port in Excellent Condition Overall very clean with two minor surface blemishes that do not affect image quality. Really has been pampered for the duration of ownership. Recently upgraded to a Seacam Superdome and feel this dome would be better suited to a more experienced shooter. Going to start teaching the wife to shoot underwater and no need for her to bang up this beautiful dome. Live very close to Reef Photo so I'm willing to accommodate the buyer and pick up the bayonet mount you have to use with your housing. Buyer Pays Actual Shipping and Actual Cost of Bayonet PM me for additional images but as you can see by these the dome is in Excellent Condition. Have all original packaging. $1500
  9. I'm selling a very lightly used Sea & Sea Dome Port 240 and Ring gear set for Canon EF 11-24mm F4L USM Lens. It's a great dome for a really wide lens - I'm only selling in order to have rent money by end of month. This is the same dome port as the regular 240, however it has a larger rear opening to fit the 11-24mm lens. It fits all other wide-angle and fisheye lenses as well, making it very versatile. Sale comes with the Conversion Ring 25 that adapts the larger opening to all the regular Sea & Sea port extension rings, the zoom gear for the Canon 11-24mm lens, and S&S dome port cover. Condition: Dome shows very light signs of wear (it has done about 8 dives). There are a few very minor scratches on the acrylic that do not appear in underwater images. But it's used, so this is the reason for the steep discount! Retail Price: $2,200 Selling Price: $1,599 **A fantastic deal !! Photos of Dome: www.brentdurand.com/For-Sale Buyer pays shipping. Please DM or email with questions. 16. Hey everyone! Like many, I was bitten by the dive bug and being an avid photographer, purchased an underwater camera housing system in 2014 thinking I would dive ten times a year and take a whole heap of awesome photos/video. Alas, real life has a way of bringing you back to reality and finances have dictated that the gear must go to free up funds, having been used on one dive in Canada. I currently live in Ireland but was home recently to take photos (photo files are too big so please contact me via email to see the photos!) of the gear and if there is interest, I will be back in Canada in july for a wedding and could arrange a paypal transaction and ship the gear then. I bought the gear for approx $7200.00 CAD + tax and am looking to sell it and a 10-17 tokina (nikon mount) lens (again used once with the wide angle port shown in the photos) for $6500.00 CAD + shipping. This is an unreal deal tbh as some of the gear has never been used and everything else has literally seen water once and not even salt water, for that matter. Unfortunately, given my current location, I cannot take further photos but would be happy to answer any questions you might have to the best of my ability. Thanks and hope I can find the gear a good home with someone who will put it to good use! Cheers, Adam email: adamjtoth88@gmail.com
  17. Brand new, never been used. Came as part of a strobe package but I have no need for the tray and arm. $49 + your method of shipping. I am in Canada but will ship to the USA. The item is also on ebay if you want a more secure transaction.
  18. Hello, I’m having trouble getting my two YS-D1 strobes to fire similarly. I’m currently at work so will have to post more examples later. My kit consists of an EM-5 in Olympus housing, flash set to fill, fiber optic cables, each connected directly to housing, no diffusers, eneloop pro batteries, two 5+8 arms and using between F3.5-F8, 1/60-1/250 shutter. What I’m noticing is that when: Setting both strobes to TTL, EV+0, equally spaced, level with lens L strobe: Correct exposure, but does not fill left of the frame R strobe: Very under exposed, completely fills right of the frame. Will post example later. Trying to compensate R strobe L strobe: TTL, EV+0 as above R strobe: Manual, EV+full, slightly under exposed compared to left of frame, fills r side of frame. Will post example later. After playing with the settings more, to compensate R strobe L strobe: TTL, EV-.5, R strobe: Preflash (but camera isn’t using a preflash!), EV+1 ,and the strobes are finally within a ballpark intensity of each other. But the left still isn’t filling as much of the frame as the right. See attached image. Any idea what's causing this? Or, anything I can do before sending them out?
  19. I am looking for a replacement camera tray for Sea&sea DX200. This is the attachment to the camera body inside the housing.
  20. Sea and Sea D2 strobe. This is a brand new in the box replacement strobe (my backup) that I initially purchased in Japan. Since it is not a "USA" version,( as if they are built differently) it will need to be shipped back to Japan for warranty work if ever needed. Warranty began in middle of January 2017. Since I already have 4 other strobes, I have decided to sell this one before it ever gets turned on or wet. The new USA version is around $649 plus tax. I would sell for $475.00 plus actual shipping. I also have 5 used Big Blue clamps $15 ea.. plus actual shipping. Cheers and thank you for your considerations

  24. Hi, The sea&sea optical ttl converter for the nikon d500 and mdx-d500 housing. I've been trying to get some information from S&S about the since 6 months promised TTL converter but no luck, so i wonder if there is anybody here ho had heard anything about it. a lite background story, in june there was information that the old d7100/d800 converter should work but in august it was changed to a new software was developing, now 6 months later there is no information what so ever and impossible to get any answers from S&S. So I wonder if S&S is abanding the Nikon cameras and only developing for Canon now as they announces a date to their ttl converters whit in a month from the release of the housing.

From Nauticam Website: NA-A7 housing for Sony A7/ A7R/7S camera Nauticam has released details of their new housing for the Sony A7 and A7R cameras. The NA-7 has a switch that allows the user to choose either LCD or EVF and a Nikonos 5 pin bulkhead. Perhaps most interestingly, Nauticam are producing a Nikonos adaptor, allowing the use of the Sea & Sea 12mm fisheye or Nikonos 15mm lenses. Housing for Sony A7 and A7R/A7S Innovation Underwater Nauticam produces the world’s widest range of rugged aluminum underwater camera housings and related accessories. There are cameras to suit every photographer from very capable compacts to medium format to professional cinema systems. Of all of those cameras, there has never been one quite like the Sony A7 and it’s high pixel count sibling, the A7R. Sony has melded a full frame (36mm x 24mm) sensor into a camera body that is essentially the same size as many “compact” cameras. The result is a stunning blend of high resolution image quality and compactness. Sony A7R with Nikonos 15mm From a distance, the Nauticam’s A7 offering looks like one of the company’s SLR housings, but looking closer, one can see that the Nauticam designers have managed to squeeze all of the engineering and ergonomics of those housings into a considerably smaller package. It only makes sense that the housing should be appreciably smaller than an SLR housing given that is one of the prime advantages of the camera. The NA-A7 Housing The new housing for the A7 delivers on the promise of the A7: Full frame camera - small package. A new port system was designed for this camera… the SLR port opening was too large, meaning that the housing would be too large, and the existing mirrorless system port opening is too small for some of the lenses expected in the new Sony FE lens lineup. So, a new line of intermediate size ports is required and is being delivered with this housing. The housing and new port line would not be complete with the patented Locking Port Release system, which, like it does on other Nauticam housings, utilizes a unique internal bayonet system that locks the port securely without twisting or misalignment. The iconic red lever is easy to operate and lets the shooter know immediately that the port is securely locked in place. The user friendly housing latches are here as well, making this housing exceptionally easy to put together. The patent pending EVF/LCD switch allows a quick way to alternate between using the large bright LCD display or the high resolution electronic viewfinder (EVF). The housing ships with a standard .66x viewfinder for the EVF, which is easily swapped out for either of the two Nauticam enhanced viewfinders. The NA-A7 includes a pre-installed Nikonos style 5-pin bulkhead with universal hotshoe connection (x and ground connection only) installed, enabling manual control of the most commonly available strobes, such as the Inon Z-240 or Sea&Sea YS-D1. Additional strobe firing options will be announced at a later date. Integrated Electronic Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System The NA-A7 ships with Nauticam’s new vacuum system with integrated electronic vacuum and leak detection monitoring system for extra piece of mind. A simple coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the watertight integrity is solid. The NA-A7 ships with a bulkhead port for installing the optional vacuum valves. Key NA-A7 Features: Signature Nauticam Port Locking System: The iconic red locking lever is right at home on the NA-A7… lens/port changes made quick, easy and secure. SLR Styling with Handles Built In: The housing is designed to be used with the shooter’s hands on the handles, ergonomically placing the camera controls at just the right spot for easy use. No extra tray/handles to buy! Brackets: Laser cut stainless steel brackets reinforce the handles, making the rig sturdy and stable even with large strobes or video lights. Mounting balls are included, ready to attach strobes, video lights, and more. Vacuum System: The integrated vacuum check and leak detection system adds extra assurance of watertight integrity. Use it without an optional vacuum valve and it serves as a audible/visual water ingress detector. Add the vacuum valve, and get watertight integrity indication via a color coded LED light. LCD or EVF - Your Choice: The patented switch means either the LCD or EVF can be used and the shooter can instantly switch between them - underwater! EVF Viewfinder Options: For shooters wanting to take the ultimate advantage of the excellent OLED EVF in the A7, the renowned 180º Enhanced Viewfinder or the excellent 45º Enhanced Viewfinder are available. It takes less than a minute to change these viewfinders and no tools are required. Fingertip Control: Fingertip control for all key shooting controls, including both shutter release, focus lock, both command dials, and video start/stop. All of the controls are easy to operate, even with gloves on. Rubberized Zoom/Focus Knob: The new zoom/focus knob is now rubberized to make gripping easier and more comfortable. Nauticam is the only housing manufacturer offering over-molded, rubberized parts. Like previous Nauticam handles, the built-in NA-A7 handles get the rubberized treatment that so many shooters have come to enjoy. Nikonos Lens Support: Old meets new as the Nikonos lenses finally get matched up with a digital camera that is worthy of these legendary water contact lenses. Despite the small size, this is a very easy housing to operate, even with gloves on. Every control is placed where a underwater shooter wants it - after all, the design team are underwater photographers themselves and strive to make every Nauticam housing the most ergonomic available. Each control, whether it is to change aperture or shutter speed, access the autofocus lock, change ISO, or even play back, is given consideration to minimize movement and make shooting easier. Of course, the sort of quality and robustness that has become synonymous with the Nauticam name is present with this housing as well. Milled from solid aluminum, the housing is depth rated at 100m and built to last. Exceptional care is taken to reduce any possibility of galvanic corrosion, and the housing is hard anodized to stay looking great after years of use.
