  1. AUD $18,000 or USD $12,000 Located in Adelaide, South Australia. Ultimate RED dive underwater housing kit, used for the past few years on shark week and natural history documentaries. Dragon sensor with LLO OLPF is a dream, amazing both underwater and above, my favorite of the Red sensors to date. Solid as a rock, wouldn't hesitate to use tomorrow on a feature. Ready to shoot kit, add a V-Lock battery and you're set to jump into the water and start shooting 6k Red Raw footage at 75p, or 4k 120p. Worldwide postage available at cost to buyer. Can Facetime or Zoom to see the kit in real time, or email mark@marktipple.com. Australian invoice can be provided with additional 10% for GST. Kit includes - - Red Epic Dragon 6k Brain : 4 x 128GB RedMag, 5” Red Touch Monitor, 2 x monitor cables, Wooden Camera V-Lock plate AC Power, RedMag card reader with dongles from FW800 to USBC, Low Light OLPF Side Handle, Red Top Plate, SmallRig top handle - Nauticam DCES Underwater Dive Housing for Red Epic : Depth rated to 80 meters Includes : Vacuum Pump, Sleds, Tripod Plate, Front Cap, Pelican Case 1610 size. 3. Selling my Red Epic Dragon Nauticam and SPL kit in packages, it's all been looked after and wouldn't hesitate to take it on a paid shoot tomorrow. Used for a number of Shark Week programs and surf shoots, never missed a beat. Listed in the packages below, priced in AUD, can ship worldwide at cost. All prices include tax invoice. Photos below listing, or all photos are here - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hmd11z4li7sqlf6/AABGTb942Lm5mJGZr1r2QPeca?dl=0 mark@marktipple.com is me, can Facetime if interested. 1. Red Epic Dragon SN 00850, 775 hours, EF Mount : $5500 AUD Includes : 4 x 128GB RedMags, 5" Red Touch Monitor, 2 x monitor cables, Wooden Camera V-Lock plate, AC Power, RedMote (internal battery dead, works on usb power), RedMag card reader with dongles from FW800 to USBC, Low Light OLPF, Side Handle, Red Top Plate, SmallRig top handle 2. Nauticam DCES for Red Epic : $4400 AUD Includes : Vacuum Pump, Sleds, Tripod Plate, Front Cap, Pelican Case 1610 size. Fits with side handle attached providing full control of camera while inside housing. 5" touch screen in the rear, and I've used it with a SmallHD502 viewable through the top screen which is handy for low or waist high shots. I've read It can be configured for DSMC2 cameras but would need to check with Nauticam if still available. Focus and zoom rings on the same hand so can do both at the same time without switching to other knob like in other housings, I've used both types and both are fine - comes down to muscle memory. Dove to 30 meters in shark cages, nothing super deep, works fine. 3. Nauticam 85201 0.36x WACP kit : $6000 AUD Includes : WACP port, Nauticam 16330 Cinema System Gear Set for Canon EF-S 18-55mm, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f4-5.6 IS lens, Nauticam 21125 N120 Extension Ring 25 with Lock, Nauticam WACP Carry Case. Recently repaired by Nauticam (there's a previous post on WetPixel of the scratch I don't know how to delete), never used so optics are brand new. I widened the rear of the lens thinking it'd cover a larger 6K image circle without vignetting, which it doesn't (6K WS is fine), so cosmetically the lens looks odd but works fine. The lens is only $200 so no stress to replace if needs be. 4. Nauticam NA-502B-S Housing for SmallHD 502 Bright SDI kit : $3300 AUD Includes : Nauticam NA-502B-S Housing for SmallHD 502 Bright, SmallHD 502B Monitor + 2 x Canon LPE6 batteries, Canon LPE6 charger and cable, M16 SDI Bulkhead 25058, ball and clamp for mounting. Used on my DCES housing for the past few years down to 30 meters and all works fine, push button pressure release is much easier than the older screw style. Some paint missing on rear of housing from a velcro'd on white card, not an impact. Does not include a vacuum pump. M16 SDI bulkhead included to attach to housing. 5. SPL Surf Housing for Red Epic with ports and lenses Includes : SPL Surf Housing for Red Epic with side handle, EF 24-70 mki flat port with zoom and focus control, 100mm flat port with zoom and focus control (16-35, 10-22 etc), 85mm flat port with zoom and focus control (11-16, short primes etc), Canon EF 24-70mm mki (auto focus not working, manual focus works fine), Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, V-Lock plate, long Red 5" monitor cable, other zoom/focus rings & aks. Has some wear and tear but still water tight, scratch on the inside of the rear perspex, pressure dent on the rear control (looks bad but works fine). Functions are : Power on - off / rec start - stop (body button) rec start/stop handle button, aperture, thumb handle select wheel, right arrow, handle enter button, customisable rear button (I mapped to magnification). Functions are limited but more than what I used in the water, generally set within a few stops then swim out until RedMag media ran out. Canon 24-70 mki auto focus doesn't work, no auto focus control on DSMC1 anyway so was never a problem. I used a range of lenses in the 100mm and 85mm ports, Sigma Art Primes - 24 & 50, Canon 100mm f2, Helios 58, whatever fits and focus / zoom rings can be reached can be used. Canon 10-22's range is great for surf, generally shooting at f5.6 + for surf so the slowness didn't matter. 6. Nauticam Lenses and damaged 180mm glass dome port : $4000 AUD Includes : Nauticam Cinema System Gear Set for Tokina AT-X 11-20mm & Tokina EF-S 11-20mm f/2.8 lens : $1300, Nauticam Cinema System Gear Set for Sigma EF 18-35mm & Sigma EF-S 18-35mm f/1.8 lens : $1300, Nauticam N120 20mm extension ring with lock 21120 : $400, Nauticam N120 60mm extension ring with lock 21160 : $500, **Dinged Nauticam N120 180mm Optical Glass Wide Angle Port 18809 :$500 - **replacement glass dome port is $985 I used these two lenses and extension rings when not using the WACP, some shoots needed descending shots or just a backup. Dinged the 180mm on yet another shark cage hence its price ($500), marks can be edited out of photos in photoshop but will be visible in video, replacement port is $985 so will still be a $500 saving over buying new. Prefer to sell as a kit.
  4. I have been taking pool test shots to understand the performance of the Nauticam WACP-C. I figure these tests might be useful to others. The test images are available at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wc8u0jvg0ns2o8k/AABy8geIDmsE4XBXV0ac9ODKa?dl=0 Test setup: objects in the pool are aligned horizontally in the same vertical plane; ambient light; WACP-C images are with a Canon R5, EF 28-70mm f3.5-4.5 ii, images taken at 28mm; other images are with a Canon 7Dii Tokina 10-17mm in a 100mm dome, images taken at 13mm (which I think has about the same field of view as the 28mm on the WACP-C); files are not cropped (i.e., original out of the camera); all focused on the center object; all taken from approximately the same distance and angle of view (to the best of my ability); all were taken RAW, uploaded to Lightroom classic, downloaded as jpg; the only post processing was a slight adjustment to exposure so that the images have about the same histogram. (I varied the shutter speed and aperture accordingly while taking the shots, but the ambient light changed, which is why some exposure adjustment was needed). My conclusions from the test regarding the WACP-C with the EF 28-70mm are: Center sharpness is so-so at f5.6, ok at f8, and good at f11 or f14. Corner sharpness is terrible at f5.6, not good at f8, tolerable at f11 and f14. The Tokina 10-17 does better in the corners, even at F9. WACP-C sharpness in the center is better than the Tokina, but of course, the R5 is used with the WACP-C (45MP) and the Tokina with the 7Dii (20MP). I was under the impression that the WACP-C produced "near rectilinear" view. To me, this isn't rectilinear at all. The distortion is similar to the Tokina. If I were only shooting wide (100+ degree field of view), then I would say the 7Dii with the Tokina 10-17 has some significant advantages over the WACP-C, such as better corner sharpness, lighter and much more compact. The center sharpness with the R5 is better, but it is possible that the Tokina 10-17 with the new R7 could do nearly as well there too. What the WACP-C can do that the Tokina cannot, is give a narrower field of view (the 70mm end of the EF28-70). This is very helpful when you just can't get so close to the subject. I managed to upload one image to the post (The WACP-C 28mm f11). If you have an interest in the others, then hopefully you can access them through the dropbox link above.
