  1. Hello, I have a Canon G16 with a Nauticam housing and recently acquired a Nauticam Compact Macro Convertor 1 as well as a single strobe Inon Z240. I am hoping you can help me with some questions I have using the CMC-1. 1. Circular mark in corner of pictures (please see pics attached) Every time I use the CMC, a bright circular shape appears in the corner of my pictures. Would you know what is causing this? Could it be the position of the strobe which is reflecting on the lens? I have to be very close to the subjects when I use the CMC and need to point the strobe very close to the lens. Could that be the issue? 2. Distance to subject How close are you supposed to be to the subject when using the CMC-1 with a compact camera? I usually have to be about 1 to 2 centimetres close which I find too close. What do you think, is this normal? Many thanks for all your help! Helene
  2. Selling my 2.5-year old Canon G7X Nauticam housing with camera, lenses and accessories. (The reason I am selling is that I've upgraded to a Canon 1DX Mark II). You'll just love the fantastic pictures you can get with the camera! And you'll really love the vacuum system which (should) prevent any housing flooding. The wide angle and macro lenses give you a wide range of choices, and the short port allows you to change lenses underwater, giving you lots of flexibility even after you've started your dive. This equipment cost me around $3,500 and I'm asking $1,500 for everything (plus $75 to defray shipping costs; if shipping is less, I'll refund the difference; if more, I'll eat the difference. Shipping to addresses in the USA only). As expected, there are a few cosmetic blemishes and very minor wear and tear. Everything works great. Importantly, all glass and acrylic is scratch free. 4. The black friday deal for the Oly OM-D EM-5 mkII with 14-42 and PT-EP13 housing for $1299 was too good to pass up. I currently use an old Oly E-PM1 with the 60mm macro and the 14-42 and wanted to upgrade a bit. I had purchased a used Nauticam WWL with the bayonet mount with the intention of getting a camera to pair up with it and the CMC to get a versatile kit that can shoot wides and macro on the same dive. I do realize that the Oly port isn't threaded. What I was planning on doing is buying either the AOI FLP04 flat port to use with the 14-42EZ or the 12-50 with the FLP02 and the WWL and CMC. I was reading JackConnick's blog post about the Oly EPL-7 and the WWL and CMC is part of what has me thinking that I might be able to do this on a bit of a tighter budget than going out and dropping several thousand on a Nauticam housing. Since the Oly bundle was only $1299. including the camera, 14-42 II, zoom gear, and housing, my cash outlay is a lot less since I already own the WWL and bayonet mounting system. So, I was wondering if there might be an advantage to using the 14-42EZ over the 12-50 with the vignetting issues it supposedly has with the WWL. Is there much of a difference in image quality between the two optics or is it negligible? Anyone try this or think it might work?
  5. Has anyone tried the Nauticam Compact Macro Converter with a nikon 60mm micro lens on cropped sensor dslr? Says it works on the Nauticam site, but how well? What sort of working distance do you get? Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, I havent been able to find it..
  6. Hello, I would like to buy a Nauticam CMC-1 Compact Macro Converter / Diopter If possible together with a M77 flip adapter holder. Price: negotiable Shipping to Germany Thank you very much.
  7. Had so much fun shooting the new Sony RX-100 IV with our new Wet Wide Lens and the CMC during our Workshop at Club Paraiso, Mactan, Cebu during early August. The image quality with the new sensor of this little camera is just amazing, especially paired with our new lens. 8. Hello, this is my first post so hope I am in the right place for this question. I have a Canon 7D in a Nauticam housing, set up with a Canon 60mm macro and Nauticam Port 41. I love the versatility of the 60mm but would like to do some super macro shots. I was first looking at purchasing the Nauticam SMC but was told by a few pro's that its not a good set up and I would be better off purchsing the Nauticam CMC. Has anyone used the CMC with a canon 60mm and could you tell me or even show me some results? Thanks, James
