Hi, I have a Canon G15 which I have been using for a couple of years with a Canon WP-DC48 housing and wondered if anyone could suggest a strobe to use with it. Ideally this wouldn't be anything too big as it will have to find space in my, already fairly full, rucksack. Many thanks Hoppy
Hi, wondering if anyone else has had these problems with a Canon G15 and Ikelite housing......and if they managed to fix them... - The function knob on the top of the housing will not grip the function wheel on the camera so I cannot switch modes whilst the camera is in the housing - The knob on the back right hand side of the housing will not grip the wheel on the rear right hand side of the camera Any tips on how to fix these would be appreciated as even to send the housing back to Idaho is going to cost me over $250. That's without the service charge.
Hi all, I've gotten a wealth of information off this forum, which has led me to the following conundrum. I'd like to get a budget underwater camera with good IQ, wide angle out of the box (well, as wide as it gets!), possibility for wide angle lens addition and strobes in the future. It has narrowed it down to [Camera + Housing = Price]: Canon G15: G15 + Meike G15 £344 G15 + WP-DC48 £448 Canon G16: G16 + Meikon G16 £385 G16 + WP-DC52 £485 G16 + Fantasea FG16 £570 Sony RX100: Sony RX100-ii + Meikon £444 That pretty much puts G16 + Fantasea out of the picture, way above my budget. The IQ of Sony RX100-ii seems like it may be better than the G16? Essentially i'm throwing up Sony RX100-ii + Meikon vs G16 + WP-DC52. What do you guys think? Or do you have any other recommendations? Thanks in advance!
