  1. I am looking to organize a special trip to swim and photograph some of the most majestic creatures on the planet, the humpback whale. I am looking to go in 2017 during the peak of the humpback migration where thousands of Southern Hemisphere Humpbacks migrate from Antarctica to the warmer waters of Tonga. The sheltered bays and inlets around Tonga provide the perfect nursery for mothers to teach their calves all about being a whale! Ive personally observed many humpbacks around Oahu and off the coast of Maui and Im completely blown away by their size! Its a magical experience to be in their presence. Tonga is one of the few places in the World that allows people to legally get in the water with these gentle giants. Swimming with humpbacks is a privilege and we must not forget that heavy regulations and laws have allowed people this amazing opportunity. We must respect the laws and obey them. Spaces will be very limited, and only a small group will be allowed in order to maximize everyones water time. Who would like to join me on this once in a life time adventure? For dates and prices please email me (photographybyleighton@yahoo.com) or message if you are interested! Spots are very limited! Once in a life time opportunity!
  2. 3 x week long trips exploring the Ha'apai Island group in July / August. 9am 29th July to 9am 5th august (7 days) 9am 7th August to 9am 14th august (7 days) 9am 15th August to 9am 22nd august (7 days) $4000AUD, including hotel in Tongatapu on the way in. Does not include airfares. Embark / Disembark in Ha'apai, and hopefully have a great time with the Whales, Ha'apai was very hot last year. This is a private liveaboard, so you're on the action all day if required, and we can move locations to get the best interactions. Max 4 people in the water at a time and some of the best food in Tonga. I will be taking one of the above charters as a family only trip, so in effect only 2 charters available. More details here: http://uwuhd.com/tonga-2015/
  3. Join Mark Strickland and Douglas Hoffman on an incredible adventure dedicated to swimming with Southern Hemisphere Humpback Whales in Ha'apai Tonga. The dates are Sept 12-23, 2014. Includes 11 nights accommodation, 9 days whale swimming, lunch on the boat, & airport transfer to hotel. This is Douglas' 10th season organizing small groups dedicated to whale photography, and Marks fourth time co-hosting. Limited to five participants this is going to be an incredible expereince. We will not swim with every whale we see. Expereince has taught us to look for specific behaviors that might lead to extended interaction. We know that by being selective in which whales we swim with we could well be rewarded with swims that last for hours rather than seconds.... Please send an email to dhimages@maui.net if interested in joining this adventure. If not able to join in 2014 but are interested, there are sapces avaialbe for the 2015 season. Dates are Sept 4-14th, 2015.
