Hi all, i have some gear for sale. Sony rx 100 ii, Recsea polycarbonate housing - cws rx100 ii, UWL-100 wide angle wet lens and a variety of chargers and accessories. I am selling as i have finally upgraded to a basic dslr set up. This system has served me very well and ive managed some results that im very proud of. I used it with a pair of sea and sea strobes, the wide angle wet lens and macro diopters and have found it to quite an effective system for both macro critters and wide angle subjects. I will post links to some of my imagesin the comments and you can judge for yourselves. Obviously this is now quite an old camera and wont be suitable for those who need cutting edge tech but for me the image quality is fine. Prices will reflect the age of the model of camera (i think sony are up to mark 6 now?!). If anyone is interested to buy they will need to find a tray and strobes and arms etc as i need to hang on to mine for my new system. All the gear is in good condition. The housing has been regularly greased in the buttons, comes with two o rings, no scratches or serious damage, clear glass. Shows signs of wear of course. It has a 67mm thread to recieve wet lenses and a removeable port for fiber optic cables which i will include with the housing. Otherwise the camera is fine. Will include all chargers and 2 batteries (and a third if i can find it...) Hi everybody. I am a snorkeler, and later this year I will be snorkeling for about five hours a day for a week while in Indonesia. I recently purchased a Sony RX100 II, and I am now trying to make a final decision re which $500 or less housing to buy. I saw some earlier posts on this forum re the RX100 II, but none of them addressed my question. I had decided to go with the Ikelite, but then read some negative reviews regarding the functionality of the a few of the buttons and/or regarding the difficulty in using the locking mechanism (the most negative reviewer stated his is a very experienced diver/photographer). As some other folks gave the Ikelite favorable, reviews, it appears that there may be some significant variance from housing to housing. I also saw that, toward the end of last year, Recsea introduced its polycarbonate housing for the RX100 II. Because that housing is relatively new, I have not found any extensive reviews regarding the Recsea housing. I do understand from a Blue Water video that this Recsea housing cannot control the Sony rear control wheel, and it has a very different locking mechanism. Although Recsea generally has had favorable reviews for its aluminum housings, I am a bit concerned about trying a somewhat newly engineered product. There has been no real opportunity for Recsea to determine if there are any glitches that need fixing. If any of you have had experience with the Recsea polycarbonate housing for the the RX100 II, please let me know your views re that housing. Also, if any of you have used the Ikelite housing for the RX100 II, please let me know your evaluation of that housing. Thanks. Ralph

Hi, I just wanted to ask people on their thoughts between two camera systems as I am undecided (and struggling) on what to pick! The first set up is a RX100 II, with recsea housing, YS-D1, UWL-04 Fisheye Lens, bluewater +7 macro lens. The second is a XZ-2, Olympus housing, Z240, Inon wide angle and dome port. (maybe an Inon macro lens as well). If it helps my main subjects will be sharks as I am going to a shark research station. I will use the camera mostly on boats and snorkeling on the surface, freediving with the camera and the occasional dive. I do also enjoy macro photography and that's why I've included the macro lenses. Also I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend any insurance company's as I will be away for just under 5 months and want to cover any camera gear, my laptop, etc.
