Here is a link to a short video "Happy Women's Day From a Diver" in advance of International Women's Day on March 8th. I posted this video a few days earlier, as I will be away on the Ray of Hope Expedition, diving in Andaman Sea next week. Best wishes to all women, divers and non-divers. All footage is filmed with Sony a7rii camera. https://youtu.be/VeWGMLk4DGU

Hi, I am currently shooting with my Sony A7 in a Nauticam housing and for wideangle I use my 16-35/4. Though I am happy with that lens I sometimes miss a fisheye and I really do not like the fisheye adapter solution by Sony. So I am thinking about getting a Sea&Sea 12mm but I have a few questions. Is there enough space between housing and lens to comfortably operate aperture and focus dials? How is the Sea&Sea mounted on the housing in terms of durability/stability and how is it mounted on my Sony camera? Is anybody using this combination and can report? Many thanks!

Hello, I am not able to set custom white balance on my Sony a7Rii with Ikelite housing with 8 inch dome underwater. It works fine above water with the same setup, but not underwater. Could anyone share their experience and hopefully advise? Many thanks.

Hello All, I’m switching from a Sony A7 to a GH5/S, and I need a recommendation for a dome. I have the Nauticam housing for the A7 which I use with the Nikonos 15mm lens so I didn’t needed a dome. I’m getting the Nauticam housing for the GH5, I’m searching for a dome for the Pana 12-35mm II and Pana 8-18mm lenses. Nauticam option is the 180mm dome ref. 18809, Zen option seems to be the 170mm dome ref. zen-dp170-n85II. Price is the same for both domes. I would be tempted by the Zen model because it’s smaller (slightly?). With your experience which one would you recommend? Thanks! Claude

A few pics and video from our recent Sea of Cortez trip on the Solmar V. Originally we were going to go to the Socorros, so I didn't have a macro lens along. The Sony a7 is ground-breaking is a full-frame mirrorless camera, lots smaller and lighter than my D800 for sure. Better low-light and a host of programability. BUT lens offerings are pretty scarce. Hopefully by the end of the year this should be improved. With some of the viz "challenging", I ended up shooting a fair amount of shallower available light. With the a7's low-light abilities it was easy to shoot up into the 2-3,000 ISOs without much degradation at all. Using the manual focus Nikonos lens was a bit different, but it has such a long depth of field that I just stopped it down and only changed focus from CF/WA to WA as necessary. Using focus peaking it was easy to shoot when you saw the "reds" of their eyes! I also used the 28-70 and for a "kit" lens it isn't bad, with a close up diopter, I think it would work out well. I did shoot some moderate close ups and with the huge files, a little cropping came up with some pleasing images. My Full Review is Here Trip Report is Here
