Looking for a bit of advice..... I've got the Subsee +10 lens and plan to use it with my Subal FP-FC port for the Nikkor 105mm. I've had it years but only tried it out once. Time to really give it a go! I've got the Subsee mount adaptor with a single "flip" arm. The adaptor is the factory-style Subsee with three small screws which tighten the adaptor frame onto the port. I can't help but feel less than confident about the security of the adaptor on the port. I've put small amounts of duct tape on the port just to protect the port from the screws; and I've have screwed the adaptor firmly onto the port. But the tolerances for something so heavy (the adaptor plus lens) seem less than ideal and I do wonder whether I'll come up from a dive with no Subsee. My paranoia is so great, that I've fitted a small lanyard on to the adaptor to fasten it on to the housing. So, what's the general experience out there, guys? Am I worrying about nothing? Or is there a trail of Subsees and adaptors scattered across the ocean floor?

Hey guys Can I seek some advice please..... I bought a ReefNet SubSee adaptor a little while ago and a SubSee +10 lens. I've only used it once so far on a couple of dives - but, before entering the water, I was struck by how insecure the connection was between the lens and the adaptor. As far as I could see, the lens is pushed on to the adaptor and a small grub screw "holds" it in place. I spent most of the dives making sure the lens was hanging in. Playing around with it out now, it seems pretty easy for the lens to come out - and disappear into the watery depths. I'm planning a SE Asia macro trip in the coming months and would prefer not to give the lens a one-way trip. Does anyone have any experience of the ReefNet adaptor and securing a SubSee lens in place? I wondered about putting a slice of inner tube around the lens which might provide a bit more grip. But this seems hardly ideal. Perhaps I could get a second tightening point/screw drilled for the adaptor? Ideas welcome! Thanks

Hello Need advice on choosing Subsee +5 or +10 for using with a Sony RX-100. I understand +10 will give me greater magnification (which I prefer) but I am worry about getting way too close to the subject to get it in focus. On the other hand, +5 will give me less magnification but I won't need to get so close to the subject to get it in focus. Any advice, please? Thanks a lot!
