dunfield 0 Posted November 14, 2005 I'm considering to buy the new alpha version of the Epoque ES 150 DS. I'm wondering if anyone has used one and if they have any opinions on it. It has an improved battery case cover so should reduce the chances of flooding. I use a Sony T1 camera. Thanks Jim
pmooney 6 Posted November 14, 2005 The new battery compartment looks a lot better than the old "guaranteed to flood" unit.
dunfield 0 Posted November 17, 2005 In addition, any comments on the flexible arm. I planning on getting the 30 cm arm. I find it odd that you have to order the arm attachment piece, required to attach the arm to a tray, separately ( $14 USD). I'm hoping to make up my own sync cord from a piece of fiber optic cable. Anyone done this before?
landie 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I have purchased a Sanyo Xacti C6 last week and ordered the Epoque EHS-500X. Concerning the strobe I am a little bit confused whether to buy an ES-150DS Alpha or a Sea and Sea YS 25 Auto. Are you happy with the Epoque flash??? If I decide to go on with the Sea and Sea YS-25 Auto, do you think that the fiber optic connection would be good and reliable enough under the water.
davichin 18 Posted October 19, 2006 There are many people who make their own fiber optic connection and it doesn´t seem very hard. So give it a try...Maybe in the "Do it your own" forum you can find something (being a very common DIY). About the epoque, does the T1 let you shoot in manual mode?
