betti154 5 Posted November 19, 2005 Hi All, There was some discussion earlier on a previous thread about attaching aiming lights to a housing. I have an Ikelite housing, and with dual strobes connected there is no where to simply connect an aiming light. After a few discussions with other people, I didn't really find any great solutions, so I welded a nut to the head of the stainless steel bolt that goes the the strobe arm ball clamp. With the nut securely welded to the bolt head, it allows the base segments of the flex arm to be bolted to the nut that was welded to the bolt head. The following photos will hopefully explain the process better. http://devension.com/downloads/temp/DIY%20...t%20Attachment/
Arnon_Ayal 1 Posted November 19, 2005 Very good solution. Great presentation also
ikelite 0 Posted November 19, 2005 I am almost hesitant to supply a URL after the betti154 presentation. I do question two things moving on a clamp that is to be loosened; same for triple clamp offerings. Several possibilities are shown: http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/oly5050acc.html
