Alastair 2 Posted November 20, 2005 I read the news article on the sea and sea YS-110, i was wondering if anyone had heard a confirmed launch date. As i also read elsewhere that it would be on sale for around $549! If they were as good as the 120 i was considering looking at them for a WA strobe setup (10.5mm FE just arrived at home).... Anyone know?
UWPhotoTech 0 Posted November 20, 2005 We're still being told mid-December and the $549 price is correct.

UWPhotoTech 0 Posted November 23, 2005 Just got a phone call from the Sea & Sea USA Distributor (TUSA), it now looks like the YS-110's won't be available until March of 2006. Something to do with meeting the CE soldering standards.
Ryan 48 Posted November 23, 2005 Word on the ground in Japan is its a patent dispute over multiple flash tubes....
james 0 Posted November 23, 2005 Oh dear! I wonder who's disputing the design...let's see...who uses multiple flash tubes???? :-) Uh, Nikon, Canon, use multiple flash tubes and have for years...but XXXX isn't suing them. I guess it must be a specific underwater "application" type patent. Cheers James
