Any WA Lens?

My PT- 030 is smaller than my PT-015 well the bayonet size. Who has a WA lens for the smaller diameter? And the housing has a TTL conection never knew that!! Till it arrived does it work with the SP-350 thru the hot shoe? Still not done reading the 195pg CD "advance manual".

ttl works through the hot shoe. Cables however, come with the underwater housings for the flash itself.

Olympus housings usually have a 67mm or 46mm filter thread. The 5050 had 67mm. Doesn't the PT-030 have 46mm?

 

The strobe socket connector is Olympus own standard. You have lots of options...

 

1) Buy an Olympus strobe and cable

2) Change the socket to a Nikonos or Sea&Sea socket

3) Buy a cable that has an Olympus connector at one end and a Nikonos at the other

The olympus strobe and housing, which works good for Macro as evidenced by a fellow with the same setup and a C5060, is a good start and you can get them brand new on Ebay for about $210.

There is some company from Germany that makes a successful Nikonos adapter for the Olympus Camera. I've heard it costs about $200 or so. If that's the case, why not wait until Ike comes out with a case...rumor has it they're going to do Olympus TTL. We'll see. Later,

Epoque DCL20 is available with a 46mm thread ring adaptor. It is applicable to most Olympus digitals. They don't list the PT-030 yet, but it has a 46mm thread.

I'm definitely interested in looking at a package price to purchase before June. I saw the UWL-105AD WA lens at $135. Does this lens require a dome or is it a wet lens? Other than the $20 adapter is there anything else that I would need to buy?

Hello Gary,

 

The three mentioned lenses are all wet mountable and have an “AD†type bayonet mount. To mount these lenses on your housing you’ll need an AD Mount Adapter with the corresponding bayonet mount surface. The AD Mount model for your housing will look something similar to this:

From the AD Mount Base, besides the lenses, you can attach a fiber optic to trigger a strobe, and grips/arms.

 

We hope to have this and a few other new AD Mount Bases available later March.
