Rocha 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Hi all, Finally got back from Africa (well, almost, I am at Newark waiting for my connecting flight to Honolulu). Well, as I promised I am posting some test shots of the 17-55 and D2x with a Subal housing. The lens is amazing, extremely fast and very, I mean very sharp underwater. I used it with a +2 diopter, 60mm extension ring and Subal fisheye port, and the combination worked great. Here are two samples, one at 17mm and another at 55. Sorry for the lack of creativity on the shots, but this was my first time using it and I just wanted to test it. I hope this helps, and I can post more shots if you want. Oh, there was almost no post-processing. All I did was auto-levels. No sharpening. Luiz

Ron Boyes 0 Posted February 21, 2006 Hi Luiz, I used this lens for the first time last month - Subal - 70mm Ext +2 dioptre and Fisheye Port. Attached are a couple of images - no RAW or PS processing. 17mm and 17mm at 100% crop regards ron
Ron Boyes 0 Posted February 21, 2006 now at 55mm I like this lens regards ron
Photobeat 0 Posted February 21, 2006 I was wondering if you guys tried any without the diopter or what what the reason to go with the diopter was in the first place (reccomendation or actual testing). Also if any one knows I would be interested in the dome curve radius of the subal port.
Ron Boyes 0 Posted February 21, 2006 I used the +2 because the Subal Dealer recommended it - will try without the dioptre next trip. Sorry don't know the radius. regards ron
