davichin 18 Posted May 9, 2006 I am trying to choose a couple of new arm systems for a new Hugyfot housing. As far as I have tried and seen I want some rubber in the tightenning clamps (I actually own an arm system that is either too tight or the strobe is dancing around). Does anyone know if Hugy´s handle ball is compatible with ULCS even if it doesn´t have o-ring? Does ULCS have an special piece to substitute Hugy´s ball?Could you give me an advice on different arm systems or if is there any previous topic where to read about different arm systems? Thanks in advance!!
Alex_Mustard 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Yes - ULCS go straight onto Hugy balls! Alex
Matetes 0 Posted May 10, 2006 Hola david, yes, my current setup is a Hugy housing with ULS arms and clamps.... And it works very well. Cheers Matetes
Paul Kay 65 Posted May 10, 2006 FYI Many manufacturers have now standardised on 25mm/1inch (they DO interchange pretty well) ball joints. Those that I know produce balls of this size are: Seacam, TLC (Aquatica), Ultralight, Ikelite (1"), Inon, obviously Hugyphot (as stated in this post), and probably more. At last an underwater standard of one component at least!!!
