i thought it didn't come out very well, glad that you liked it, i still think it's lacking a bit of color though.

I llike the turtle shot. It looks a little desaturated. If you shot this raw I would see if you could boost the saturation. If you do edit that picture please repost.

I think the turtle shot is very nice and it's also salvageable. You just need a good PS person to tweak it for you. :D

Shovelnose Ray- Rhinobatos batillum in the Coral Sea I think (we get the Aptychotrema species here)

... oh and looking up the spelling they are AKA guitarfishes :D

Here is the same turtle picture again, and i re-photoshoped again. I sort of like the faded color look to it.

Yes, that is a guitarfish, he was about 9 feet long and when he swam by within arms reach, you could see he had large bite marks all over his gill area. Possibly another larger shark.

I too like the giant guitarfish!

You think those scars are from a larger shark species or mating scars from another guitarfish?

I figure mating scars, but I'm not sure at all as I didn't see them up close. Or maybe another fish or cookie cutter shark??

Thanks for posting!! We have guitarfish out here but never that large!! :D

Carol
