2 day 1 night liveaboard in Cairns

I just got back from a 2 day 1 night liveaboard in Cairns, and having a day surface intervall then to another 3 day liveaboard.

Glad you had a good trip.

 

I like your wide angle shots and you have some great lighting on the macros even with your single strobe.

I was not impressed by Aaron's sea cucumber phone however. Why harass them? If you stress them enough to self-eviscerate, it is energetically expensive to regenerate the intestine. This energy could be better spent reproductively or in maintaining general biological fitness more generally. Even if they don't eject their intestines in response to Aaron's behaviour, is there any need to run the risk? Now granted, Aaron may not have had any impact on this particular individual, but I also consider that encouraging disrepect of marine wildlife more broadly is not something to be endorsed - particularly by instructors.

For your information, that was done without me knowing. After the picture, i had asked him to put the sea cucumber back. Just thought that you should know the circumstances.

Nice stuff. I like the closed crinoid and Yolanga turtle. The frog in the cup is cool as well.
